I stayed at this hotel for two nights after a weekend in Monte Carlo. This hotel is amazing. When I arrived, I was greeted by name and had a complimentary room upgrade. The hotel rooms are great - they have automated lights in the room as well as curtains; so after a long day of shopping and site seeing, no...

I was pleasantly surprised that all the bad press about Paris wasn't true. Yes, it was expensive, (but have you ever spent a week in Manhattan?) The hotel was wonderful - only 29 rooms but very personable...It was right in the middle of the city but I felt very secure. Not much english which was okay because I needed to...

Just a short walk from the hotel is the shopping area of st Germaine, the louvre, Eiffel and the jardin de toullieries. The hotel is great for the price. Worth all it's stars. The reception spoke a little English but was as friendly as French go. There is a cafe next door that serves breakfast and has free wifi. This...

Romantic, small, boutique hotel. Rooms are small but you won't be in them much. It's worth the 5 stars. The best thing, is its location. You can walk down the road and be in the middle of it all. I love Paris and yes I would come back for sure.

This hotel had the friendliest and most accommodating staff ever. The location was incredible - easy walk to every location. Loved the extra touches like bottles of water by our bedside each night, lights and music centrally controlled by remote and spotless room cleaning twice a day. The only downside was the lack of bar/restaurant atmosphere. Everything in the so-called...

Located next to the much pricier Ritz this lovely, well appointed small hotel is a good choice in a lovely location, though far from inexpensive. The room, while not large was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Service was excellent.

This hotel couldn't be better situated. The staff is helpful in all respects and the Junior Suite was large and comfortable with one and a half bathrooms. The room was very quiet. Continental breakfast was excellent and included, as we are members of SLH. Only disappointment (apart from the rainy weather) was the lack of a full dinner menu. We...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1723 by Pierre Perrin, the Sun King's secretary, this elegant building was in turn a private residence and a seat of government, then in 1842 the embassy of the young Republic of Texas whose independence France was the first to recognise. The square is named from the fact that n°1 was the site of the former Vendome family residence. Three centuries of art, culture and elegance make it a unique address in Paris. Today the place Vendome is the temple of Parisian jewellery, and gives onto Paris's most brilliant quartier, with its haute couture, antique dealers, art galleries, the Opera and the Louvre museum.
