Not worth the price paid. Dirty bathroom, uninsonorised rooms. Some people woke us up at 2 in the morning next to our room with communicating doors with holes so we could hear all they said. Bathroom from the 80's. Broken lamps, switches not cleaned for centuries. Many hairs on the floor. Very dissappointed.
We stayed 6 nights to celebrate my son’s 40th birthday. It was his first visit to Paris. Our stay was wonderful, absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful and well maintained, the staff were very gracious and the food was outstanding. We were easy walking distance to the major tourists areas and the views of the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tour were spectacular. We will definitely visit again with our family. Thank you for a memorable stay!
Stayed at the Hotel Raphael for 4 days inAugust. The hotel is in a great location walking distance to many shops, sites and restaurants. We were a large group with 8 rooms booked. The rooms varied in decor but all fairly spacious by European standards. Beds are very comfortable. We opted for the Duplex suite with Terrace. The room is beautiful, but the terrace is the highlight. Being a large group, having the option to sit and enjoy a drink on the terrace was fantastic. It is very large and fits many people, with beautiful views of the lit up Eiffel Tower at night. The restaurant rooftop is also lovely, but drinks can be pricey so if you enjoy the rooftop view, I recommend looking into the rooms with a terrace. The rooms are limited in number and there is only one Duplex so good to plan early. Service at the hotel was good and everyone very pleasant. There is only one person taking care of check in and check out so be prepared for a possible wait. I would stay again at the Raphael and definitely try and book the Duplex if available.…
I had a wonderful experience at the hotel Raphael. Our room was clean and luxurious, with beautiful furniture and pristine sheets. The concierge was extremely polite and on our last night, we were upgraded to a beautiful premium room that was the stuff of dreams. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Paris.
We Loved our room, the creaking lift and most of all the fantastic Concierge Team. Hotel location was brilliant and the rooftop bar absolutely spectacular. We found it great that the hotel is still in the same family after almost 100 years. Thank you
For info: I made 2 reservation before my arrival to hotel Rapahel: from 18 july, 2022 to 21 july 2022 (3 nights) , and from 21 july, 2022 to 23 july 200 (2 nights)I did 2 reservations because when I made the first reservation it was non refundable, and I couldn’t change it but wanted to extend our stay in Paris so I proceeded with the second reservationDay 1: room Number 111,We enter the room, and we are unable to lock the door from inside, I requested front desk to send someone to repair it. . When I entered the bathroom there was no shampoo so I requested shampoo and they said that they use a body gel and shampoo all in one….Bathroom, no shampooing, and soap, I asked for they told me the shampoo and the body gel are the same (first time in my life I heard this in a 5 star hotel). The light in the bathroom was also not working, so requested this to be repaired. After our numerous issues, the Receptionist at front desk promised to change the room! Day 2:They asked me to prepare our luggage to move to a better room, We moved to room 612, day 3 we moved to room 307 To apologize for all these issues, they had put a champagne bottle and a note from the Manager Mr. Fabrice Afuta. Although he shined by his absence since he is in lengthy 24/7 days meetings. However, there was an apology in the note.. least we could ask for…we never saw him and he is always busy in meeting 24 hours a day in the letter he apologies (amazing manager always busy) …
Nice location. Rooms were lovely but many things didn’t work. Sink didn’t drain, burnt out lights in room, no coffee in room, mini fridge not stocked. We asked for it to be fixed. It never was. Front desk staff had attitude.
This hotel was one of the highlights of our brief stay in Paris, and we would most definitely plan to stay here again on a return trip. The Room We stayed in a Signature Suite, which had a bedroom and separate sitting room. The room was huge, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The hotel itself was tasteful and peaceful. We truly looked forward to returning there each day. The Service Staff were helpful, generous, discrete, and it felt like every time we left the room we would return to see that it had been tidied (multiple times a day). Location A Metro stop is immediately outside the door (Line 6), with another a few minutes away at the Arc de Triomphe. For most of the places you’ll want to visit, it will require a ride on the Metro. The locations walkable are the Arc and the Champs-Élysées. Critique Only two things come to mind, and neither of them were close to being bothers such that it would mean we wouldn’t return. The first, air conditioning: we were in Paris during the summer heatwave (up to 105F one day), and we were sure to book a room that was air conditioned. When we arrived we learned that consisted of a portable A/C unit that was vented out the window, requiring the window be left open. We maneuvered the drapes to cover much of the open window, but leaving the window open in that level of heat did make a difference. It wasn’t what I thought would be the case when I saw the room listed as air-conditioned. We were comfortable nonetheless. The second: the shower temperature was erratic. Over the course of a five-minute shower the temperature would vary wildly. It would never get so cold or so hot that it was unbearable, but it was quite noticeable. Summary The critiques are minimal in comparison to the overwhelming quality of the hotel. We loved it, and we’d happily return.…
We stayed for the third time in the hotel. Normally we stay in a junior suite, but being late with the reservation we could only opt for a superior room. The room was a good size…however it could need an update. The hotel has a gorgeous historic charm but it is about time to introduce modern comfort. The roof top terrace and the hotel bar are a real asset. The breakfast is too average for the hotel category. Service was excellent and staff is very attentive.
Beautiful stay ay hotel raphael. Superb staff and attention to you. Delightful room and fantastic breakfast. Very wonderful property. Will return. Staff is fantastic!!! We enjoyed location and found the stay to be quite restful. Room was very quiet and location was perfect.
