3rd time at the Raphael and enjoyed it once again. The bedding was great as was the heated towel rack. The rooms were a bit dated. Housekeeping did a fine job. Concierge services were excellent and enjoyed the breakfasts as well.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, We would like to thank you for your third stay with us at the Raphael and for leaving us your feedback. We are very pleased to read that you had a pleasant stay once again and enjoyed our breakfast buffet, clean facilities and the service provided by our dedicated team. We are disappointed if your room did not match your expectations on this occasion, but we would like to add some remarks. The interior design of our hotel is based on the authentic Parisian style that we are very proud of. We would like to assure you that continuous maintenance works are being carried out to guarantee that our facilities are up to standard. This includes carpet replacement, wall repainting, furniture restoration and so on. We are sorry if this did not show on this occasion and we will be following up internally. Thank you again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best regards, Fabrice Afuta General Manager

Beautiful facilities done in a traditional motif. We upgraded to the junior executive suite. Will worth the cost. The staff is 100% guest oriented. Five star rating is very well deserved. We cannot wait until we can return.

The best feat of this hotel are it’s located and it’s rooftop terrace restaurant. The latter offers stunning views of the Eiffel Tower, especially at night, while the former provides easy access to the Champs Elysees. Our room, styled as a classic, was dated. There was little room as the bed took up most of the space. The “king” bed was two twins pushed together with a pad on top. Not very comfortable. The shower was a tub/shower combination, and the tub was very narrow making movement difficult. Service overall was affable but nothing exceptional.

Dear Sir, We would like to thank you for staying with us at the Raphael Hotel and for taking the time to share your feedback on Tripadvisor. We are pleased to know that you had a pleasant experience overall. While we appreciate your compliments on our rooftop and convenient location, we are sorry to hear that our Classic rooms were not the most suited for your needs on this occasion. We have a large selection of guestrooms and suites available, from 269,1 sqft to 753,5 sqft. For any future stay, we recommend looking at our Signature Suites that might be more to your liking. They come with a separate living area, a bathtub and separate shower. Again, thank you for staying with us and we hope that we will have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Best regards, Fabrice Afuta General Manager

The terrasse was empty and despite the availability they did not let us have a drink and lied to us saying we could have only lunch on a back table. There were more than 10 front tables free. All that to force us into a cheap table and i spend lunch. Very nasty customer approach especially for he regulars that we are.

Dear Madam, We would like to thank you for sharing your recent experience on our rooftop restaurant. We are very sorry that your dining experience on our rooftop restaurant was not satisfactory, and we would like to apologize for falling short of your expectations. Your experience is indeed very disappointing and uncharacteristic of our team. Please be assured that we are reviewing it internally to ensure our service remains at the highest levels. Thank you again for your visit and we do hope you will give another opportunity to prove that your experience was the exception rather than the rule. Best regards, Fabrice Afuta General Manager

We just came back from Paris after a 5-night stay at Hotel Raphael. I took many pictures of the hotel upon arrival and before leaving, because it is STUNNING! The junior suite we stayed in is decorated with Rococo designs, like the demask silk wall panels, murals, crystal chandeliers with gilded branches etc which gave a feel of Versailles. As tourists from outside Europe, we cannot think of a better place than Hotel Raphael to extend the experience of the rich history and culture of Paris beyond the sightseeings. The location is superb, 5-minute walk to Arc de Triomphe and the start of Champs Elysee, walking distance to Trocadero. Met 6 station is right at the door. We were previously concerned about the amenities after reading some reviews but it turned out to be unnecessary. The bathroom is bright, clean and functional. The furnitures might be antiques, so they are old but clean, beautiful and well maintained. The staff are so friendly and considerate, which made our stay pleasant and convenient. Will definitely come back next time!

For our long touristy weekend in Paris, Hotel Raphael was in a perfect, centralized location. The hotel and the room we stayed in was very charming, but the experience overall was lacking. Nonetheless, we're happy we gave it a try but will probably stay at other hotels in the future. ARRIVAL. It's right down the street from the Arc de Triomphe, which is fantastic. The bellhop service was great and very much needed to carry our heavy luggage up a few short flights of stairs to the main hallway. At the top of the stairs is a long wall-to-wall counter. One would assume this is the front desk, but it's not; it's the concierge desk. You need to walk down the hallway to a small counter to check in. I watched several folks get redirected down the hallway. ROOM. We stayed in a beautiful room. See the attached photos. Even though it was a good-looking room, it was poorly designed, and it hasn't been upgraded well over the years. There was ample (hanging) closet space, but not enough storage for anything else. The shower in the bathroom was ridiculously small. You couldn't even lather up the shampoo without bumping your elbows on the sides of the shower. The amenities are what you'd find in a 3-star hotel. The hair dryer was at least 10 years old. SERVICE. The service was decent, but the people providing the service weren't very friendly. We've had friendlier service at 3-star hotels. RESTAURANTS. We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning. The selection was good, but nothing stood out as unique or quaint from a 5-star hotel. Before we left the final morning, we went up to the rooftop bar. The views were fantastic (see photos), and I wish we had had time to visit when it was open. WHAT I LIKED MOST. The location and the room terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower. SUGGESTIONS. Stay away from the mini bar. The water alone is 8 euros. They don't tell you this when they're introducing you to your room.

I LOVED this hotel. It was so beautiful, clean and the views were unforgettable. It was also the coziest bed I have ever slept in. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly kind. I would love to stay here again.
