My daughter and I stayed here for 8 nights earlier this month. It is one of the most charming and comfortable places I've stayed. The staff is courteous and helpful. We loved the location, just steps away from the St. Sulpice metro stop. The neighborhood is quiet yet close to sights and shopping. I personally prefer the left bank and... More

L'Abbaye is as Parisian as they come. Impeccable decor, dignified service, garden with a lovely fountain, quiet side street in a Left Bank location perfect for walking, shopping, and soaking up ancient and modern history . If you're looking for hip and modern this is not your place, but my husband and I absolutely loved its old world charm.

We spent 5 days in Paris and stayed at Hotel de l'Abbaye. It was la love very experience. While the room was small it had a closet as well as 2 small bedside closets. We had a large bathroom and the tub was quite high, which could be difficult for some people. We did not have a refrigerator, which was... More

Felt at home the moment we arrived. The front courtyard is a lovely entrance to a lovely hotel. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The downstairs lounge/lobby area are simply perfect. The little breakfast area, overlooking the beautiful interior courtyard was heaven in the morning! A lovely light breakfast of fresh French pasties and bread with delicious fresh squeezed... More

Stayed at the Hotel de l'Abbaye last spring (April 2015) and had a wonderful trip. I had booked a regular room, but upgraded when we arrived. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast and evening drinks in the lobby were lovely. The location is perfect for exploring the Latin Quarter and surrounding areas. I would not hesitate to book another trip here.

This charming boutique property in St. Germaine did not disappoint. My wife and I stayed 3 nights in February 2016, for a personal couples visit following a week work trip. Outstanding and very attentive staff, very nice breakfast and relaxing quiet patio for tea or glass of wine, great location to walk the Latin Quarter, not too far from connecting... More

I am 68. When I was 26 I came here the first time with my new wife and kid after leaving East Africa where I had worked for two years. That was in 1975. We have been returning once a year ever since. I prefer the right bank although I have also gone fancy on the other side of the... More

This is an elegant 4-star hotel in the sixth arondissment of Paris tucked away in a courtyard on a side street a few blocks from Saint-Sulpice and the Luxembourg Gardens. It is well regarded in the guidebooks such as Rick Steves, and it is hard to quarrel with the location. In the normal course of affairs I would probably rate... More

My favorite tea / coffee spot in the Latin Quarter area. So quiet, charming, and cosy. The perfect spot to relax after a busy walk in the St Germain / Odeon / Luxembourg area ! Staff is very caring & nice. Highly recommended!

By far the best service we've had at any hotel in year. From the front desk to the room service, the people who worked at this hotel know how to treat clients. While we visited my husband and I became ill - unfortunate I know but the people at the hotel were genuinely concerned about our welfare and helped us... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
