Our first and unforgettable trip to Paris! Despite our early arrival, a room for three was already waiting for us with a beautiful view of the garden, where you could not hear either cars or people. I love small hotels, it’s like a fairy tale inside, the cozy interior, furniture, paintings and perfume don’t leave you completely stuffy. We received aesthetic pleasure from breakfast; table setting, dishes, music and caring Madame Lilia, with whom I wanted to talk about everything!!! This little hotel is very comfortable and the staff make you feel very welcome. The reception, lobby restaurant and rooms are all beautifully decorated in a traditional style. It is clean and well presented. Good quality bedding and towels.
There is a lift or a spiral stair case to all floors. Breakfast is in the basement and for 15 Euros you have a generous continental breakfast of breads, pastries,cereals with spreads,cheese and hams and also a choice of eggs if requested such as scrambled or an omelette. It is served on fine crockery with silver coffee and teapots. There is also tea and coffee available 24/07 in the lobby.
All the staff on the reception were so helpful. We decided to book a car to take us around Paris to see the sights and I recommend this very highly. Our driver was Jacque Van and he was so knowledgeable and obliging. Paris is such a beautiful city and this hotel is on a direct metro from Euro star

Hotel Saint Gregoire in the 6th of Paris has always been my "go to" hotel when I travel to my favorite City of Lights. Easily tucked away a very short distance from Blvd Raspail & Rue des Rennes on the quiet street of Rue de l'Abbe Gregoire, you have quick access to 2 Metro lines, the Luxembourg gardens, shopping & cafes. The hotel is beautifully designed, the guest spaces of the lobby and breakfast room are intimate, inviting and warm - you're in someone's French home. Our guest room had a balcony where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee, the bathroom had ample counter-space, the room had a most comfortable bed with chest of drawers and closet space for all you traveling clothes and store purchases. Breakfast included fresh breads (croissants of course), fresh fruit, eggs to order, etc. The staff is outstanding, from the friendly and most helpful receptionists to the accommodating breakfast server and thorough housekeeping. They will always have a greeting when you happen upon them. As a plus, there's an espresso machine in the downstairs salon of the lobby, so after a day of shopping or museum touring you can rest before making your way back to your room. I owe our amazing stays at the Hotel Saint Gregoire to the ever present, professional and most friendly general manager - par excellence!

A very luxurious room for 3 adults. Staff was especially attentive . Thomas and Edward went out of their way to be of service. Lots of nice amenities from a refrigerator in the room, electric water pot and tea and cups, coffee maker too. The hotel uses glassware not plastic and wonderfully scented lotions and soaps. In the common space there is also a caffe/ espresso maker. The hotel is pure parisien style and breakfast served in the lower stone cellar is so charming !!

There are some parallels between an ideal hotel and a very fine play. There has to be an inspiring, or at least intriguing plot. There must be artful attention to detail. The actors have to be passionate, talented and willing and able to establish rapport with their audience. The audience too has to be alert, well behaved and able to savor the experience. The metaphor takes us beyond the vast majority of generic hotels that cater to business and leisure travelers who could be anywhere, any time, with both sides of the transaction being superficial and transient.
When hotel staff and guests truly care enough about each other, the stage is set for loyalty to set in. We have been staying at Le Saint Gregoire for nearly 30 years. The half dozen other hotels we have tried in the city have their virtues, but didn't earn our affection. We have stayed in fancier places, but the style and comfort here are understated and timeless. From the front desk staff, Veronique, Thomas, Eduardo, house keeping and breakfast crews, we feel at home and appreciated.
Every great city has many neighborhoods and sub-quarters. We are happy to traipse all over looking for restaurants, theaters and shops. But at the end of the day, Rue de l'Abbe Gregoire is our oasis. We have a few minor quibbles, but knowing a lot about the hotel business, they have earned out trust.
When hotel staff and guests truly care enough about each other, the stage is set for loyalty to set in. We have been staying at Le Saint Gregoire for nearly 30 years. Hotel Le Saint Gregoire has all the charm you might expect of a small hotel in the French countryside but is located in a bustling Parisian neighborhood filled with boutiques and bistros. The hotel team is friendly, welcoming, and very attentive to guests' requests. The ambiance of the lobby makes you feel that you have been invited to stay in someone's home. The rooms are large and thoughtfully decorated to create a calm environment. Breakfast items are fresh, plentiful and delicious. This hotel is a truly a gem!

The Hotel Le Saint Gregoire is a quintessential and charming Paris hotel, situated perfectly in the 6th Arrondissement, near three different Metro lines (St. Placide is the closest, followed by Sevres and then Vanau). There are lovely restaurants, brasseries, cafes, and boulangeries (bakeries) within easy walking distance. There are many parks nearby as well including the Jardin du Luxembourg. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and friendly--from the women serving breakfast, to the cleaning staff and the front desk staff. They will go out of their way to help you. The rooms which we have stayed in have always been spacious especially for Paris standards. And the hotel is immaculate in cleanliness. There are two lovely sitting areas on the main floor and breakfast is served in your room or in the breakfast room. We always take breakfast in the breakfast room. They even serve freshly squeezed orange juice.

We have stayed at the Gregoire several times and will continue to return. It is a joy to stay there. Veronique welcomes you and is ever helpful and attentive.Eduardo is another long term agreable member of staff who makes you feel at home.
It is so comfortable and attractive. All tthe staff are so welcoming. (and unchanging) We were on the top floor this time. The Gregoire is a quiet hotel.The rooms are spotless with frequent changes of linen and towells.The Continental breakfast is just perfect, beautifully presented and served by Nora who is part of the fixture and fittings.
There are many interesting areas nearby and so many shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The Metro Strike was on but it did not hinder us. It was amazing to see so many scooters on the busy roads enabling people to get to work.
We cannot wait for a return visit to Paris and the St Gregoire.

Am about to decamp my fantastic room at this hotel, and am sorry to go! A perfect location, close to everything + public transportation but on a quiet street where you can sleep undisturbed. Major plus, for Americans, is the incredibly friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff who can help with anything from restaurant recommendations to directions to faraway flea markets. We stayed in a room with balcony on the 5th floor in room 50, room was very decent. Balcony is very small, however you can still sit and have breakfast.
Excellent staff, very french vibe, close to everything, lot of good dinning options nearby. We stayed 4 nights and were able to quickly hop on train to go to all the attractions. We did not take any breakfast as there are lot of nearby restaurants and bakeries! They do have coffee machine in lobby and some pastries. However there in no milk so you have to ask them each time! We just wish there was a coffee machine in the room as it is really cold in November! Over all excellent place to stay.
