This was a welcome return to the hotel after a few years away.
Ambience
The hotel is bathed in marble, light pastel tones, with a very warm and welcoming entrance. The flower decorations are well known for their ground breaking design, and at Christmas even more so.
In the middle of the hotel is a courtyard which serves as an outdoor lounge and also for the individual restaurants of the hotel.
This is one of the larger “Palace” hotels, but it does not necessarily feel that way.
Room
We were lucky enough to have an upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the road and also part of the courtyard.
All of the rooms are light and airy, and the bathrooms maintained in immaculate condition.
As with The Four Seasons, there are certain features which are consistent to the entire Group, and the only slight niggle we would comment on are the slippers, which used to be of a much higher standard.
The service in the room was excellent, with a robust turndown and the usual amenities.
The bed was very comfortable with a good quality sleep and very well soundproofed.
Breakfast is served in the main restaurant, which is a very grand setting, with a combination of Ă la carte and a buffet. The buffet, however, is of an excellent standard, and the patisseries are superb.

The service from the teams at every level of the hotel – be it reception, concierge, breakfast, or housekeeping – was superb. Even within 24 hours, they were starting to recognise the individuals, which is an impressive feat.
Each of the restaurants is superb and well worth a visit.
The Spa has been fully renovated and was pretty impressive before it was renovated and now is even better. Definitely worth a visit.

As a light sleeper, I was pleasantly surprised by the tranquility of this hotel. The soundproofing is exceptional - I couldn't hear a peep from the busy street outside. My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay in Paris. We booked the Four Seasons through American Express. Prior to arrival, we actively engaged with the concierge who helped plan our itinerary. Their concierge services are amazing, you do not need a travel agent while staying at Hotel George. They booked private tours for us and our friends at the Louvre, D’Orsay, Siene river cruise and Versailles. They arranged for all of our lunch and dinner reservations, as well as shopping appointments at stores. I am truly impressed by their concierge services- it’s the best I’ve experienced at a hotel.
From check in to departure, the hotel staff goes above and beyond to make their guests feel special. They address guests by name while passing through the lobby! The lobby is gorgeous, overflowing with the most beautiful flowers. The breakfast area is elegant and peaceful.
We booked a deluxe suite, room 530, with a balcony overlooking the street. The room was exactly what I would hope for at a hotel in France! It was painted in cream and light blues with exquisite bedding and furniture.
The location of the hotel is perfect, with shopping and many attractions in walking distance.
We had dinner at Le Cinq and it was fantastic. Although this is one of the most expensive restaurants in Paris, it was not stuffy and the waitstaff and servers were a lot of fun and friendly! The food and wine was superb. The bar at the hotel is small but beautiful. On most nights we stopped in for a nightcap after dinner. The cocktail menu is unique and the service was great.
I can only say wonderful things about the Hotel George. This is the only hotel I will stay at in Paris!!!

Recently visited Paris for 8 days and spent 5 evenings at Four Seasons George V. I also stayed at another highly rated hotel in town, and there was no comparison. Four Seasons George V is the best hotel I have experienced in Europe.
If you value luxury hotels, you cannot go wrong with this property.
Beginning with the preparation for the trip, the concierge team was extremely responsive by email before we arrived. I began emailing about a month before arrival, and they always replied within 24 hours and in perfect English. As the arrival date got closer, the response time got much prompter. The concierge helped with all of my requests. They followed through on everything we talked about and arranged 4 different excursions, all of which were incredible.
The check in experience was flawless. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and there were no issues with room availability. I would like to thank Garry for his excellent service.
Dining at the hotel was phenomenal. I had dinner at most of the restaurants. Le Cinq and Le George were amazing. Yann at Le Cinq was an incredible waiter. If there is only time for 1 meal at the hotel, I recommend Le Cinq.
The hotel gym, pool and spa were also excellent. The spa treatment was great and there is a coed steam room.
No review of this hotel would be complete without mentioning the floral arrangements of Jeff Leatham. The manner in which his team decorates the hotel is inspirational, and probably the best in the world.
The location of the hotel worked well for this trip. Some things are within walking distance, but we mostly went by ride share.
For what it’s worth, I have stayed at dozens of Four Seasons properties and more than 10 in the last year. This is one of the very best. If dining and service matter to you, this is one of the top 5 hotels you can find anywhere in the world.

We've stayed at multiple Four Seasons properties around the world and this one was somewhat lacking in the service department. The front desk staff was courteous, but not particularly friendly. Room service was a little slow a few times as well. The main issue that led us to knock down a Four Seasons from a five to a four-star is that on our last full day in Paris, we hired professional photographers to take formal honeymoon pictures for us. One person from the concierge questioned whether we were guests there, which was a little offensive. Then the evening manager approached us and advised that although we could take pictures in the lobby, we needed to be mindful of not capturing other guests in our photos. We found this to be an odd statement; why would want other people in our formal (when I say formal, I mean I was wearing a long evening gown and my husband was in a suit) honeymoon pictures?
Other than that, our stay was pleasant. The rooms are very small for the price you're paying and the food is ridiculously overpriced, but it's the Four Seasons so you have to expect this. The location is great and close to a lot of shops and restaurants.

Sometimes the hype around a legendary property like the George is hard to live up to however in the case of the FS George property in Paris is even better than its reputation. Every interaction with an employee is first class and the quality of amenities at the property cannot be matched. Our anniversary dinner at Le Cinq was one of the most memorable experiences we have had in a long time. In addition our occasional visits to the legendary George Bar was a guaranteed excellent experience with a great staff and attentiveness. If your in the mode of making sure your stay in Paris is the best experience possible you would benefit greatly by choosing the Four Seasons George.

its located at the heart of the city but at the same time, it gets a bit out of the main crowd. It’s a walking distance to different metro and train lines. If you like shopping and good food, this is where you should stay. Most of the brand name stores will deliver your purchase back to your hotel and you can keep doing your shopping freely.
The restaurants at Four Seasons have 6 Michelin stars in total. We’ve been the the Italian one and made us wanna go back again and again.
The quantity of the breakfast buffet might not be as much as others, but its quality is at top notch. We’ve enjoyed it.
All the staff been being friendly and professional, we love it and surely will come back for our next visit to Paris

We had a fantastic stay at the George V over the new years holiday.
The staff was terrific, the service was impeccable and accommodating in all ways. The hotel itself is beautiful from the lobby to the rooms. Our suite was very expensive but you are paying for the totality of the George V experience and it was well worth it.
I would particularly recognize the terrific concierge team. Louis-Marie and the entire team including Julie and the very nice gentleman who worked overnight were all extremely helpful, understanding and gracious. They made a huge difference.
The staff was terrific, the service was impeccable and accommodating in all ways. The hotel itself is beautiful from the lobby to the rooms. Our suite was very expensive but you are paying for the totality of the George V experience and it was well worth it.

Jean-Claude Wietzel, Juliette Focin, Mathilde and the whole team at George V make each guest feel special and most welcome! Having stayed at several 5 star hotels in Paris, I must say that George V is my favorite and where I feel most at home. They have perfected the art of comfortable luxury, with meticulous attention to detail and guest hospitality. From the doormen greeting you by name, even when arriving in your own transport, to the front desk, concierge, restaurant and housekeeping staff, one really feels recognized.

We were invited to a wedding and the party had picked another five star hotel. I wanted to go for the reliable brand I know, Four Seasons. It never disappoints; from the moment you arrive and you are greeted by name by almost everyone, and you are escorted to one of their magnificent French decor rooms and fruit and macaroons together with a real champagne bottle; you know you are in the right place.
Home away from home for almost a week, we splurged happily. This is luxury at its best yet I never felt any sign of arrogance or uppity attitudes as some people always complain. In fact, there was a very refined casualness to it without ever taking notches down on the luxe. All in the details that make a Four Seasons the perfect choice in luxury hotels: service when and where you need it, the most comfortable bed and shower (tub and bidet), good toiletries, perfect location, reliable transportation, top notch restaurants and areas to gather and meet for business or just drinks with family and friends.
Le V hosted our Pre-Wedding Dinner and it was simply fabulous. I’ve been to Paris many times so I don’t care for Eiffel Tower views or touristy gadgetries. If that’s you and you don’t have the budget, other places will work best. But for seasoned and reliable upscale lodging, the George V exceeds expectations. Superb!

To experience any of the three fine restaurants, it isn't necessary to be a hotel guest. However, it may be sensible to pre-book, rather than simply walking in.
Workout facilities and indoor pool.
There is no dress code for hotel guest except if you want to dine in the Michelin starred restaurant at the hotel.
Although a number of Parisians hang out at the lounge and also have breakfast meeting qt the same time and place we have our breakfast and I can say they all dressed up quite well.
But we as tourist always in our jeans and tee,no problem.
It's about $1250.00 per day! It's beautiful there!
