Hyatt Paris Madeleine receives high marks for its prime location, close to many attractions, and the daily breakfast and evening aperitifs are popular perks among guests. The atmosphere is often described as inviting and tranquil, adding to the charm of the clean and well-maintained rooms. While the rooms' comfort and modern amenities are praised, some guests find them a tad small. The hotel's staff earns rave reviews for their warm and professional service, although some travelers question the overall value, citing high costs and occasional billing issues.

We had an unexpectedly lovely stay at this Hyatt. Located in a quieter professional/residential area, we were only 10 minute walk from the busier spots centered around the Place de la Concorde/Tuleries. The hotel felt like a comfortable retreat from the business of central Paris without sacrificing access. Both the metro and bus were within a 5 minute walk. There are excellent restaurants nearby and while many of them close on weekends for dinner, the Hyatt restaurants proved to be exceptional dining options. The Lounge is a warm, comfortable place for drinks, snacks or a full blown meal. Cafe M served a thoughtful and expansive buffet with top of the line pastry, smoked salmon from a local, women-owner curing shop, and fresh juices, breads from an award-winning bread maker, divine cheeses and delicious warm items (scrambled eggs, sausages, sauteed mushrooms, etc). The additional items to be ordered were wonderful (try the crepes!).
Our room was very spacious by Parisian standards! The beds are very comfortable, which is the most important aspect to me in a high-end hotel. The hair dryer was infuriating, so bring your own. The bathtub was full length and the rain shower was perfect after a day of strolling through the city.
There are multiple services throughout the day, including a full cleaning, restocking of the coffee and minibar, as well as turndown service. The service was silent and inobtrusive and the room was always sparkling clean.
We would heartily recommend this hotel to any traveler, tourist or business. As a frequent business traveler, this was the ideal location with access to transportation, and the gym and amenities made it very comfortable. As a pleasure traveler, it was a respite after a long day of sightseeing. We will stay at this property for our next visit to Paris!

Dear 672lizziep, Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. I am very happy to read that you had a “lovely” stay and fully enjoyed the room, our food and beverage offer, housekeeping service and location. Our location is ideal to discover Paris by foot as we are 15 minutes walking distance from the renowned department stores Galleries Lafayette and Printemps as well as 15 minutes walking distance from rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré to shop in the finest boutiques or another 15 minutes walking distance to Place de la Concorde to either walk through the beautiful Jardin des Tuileries to Musée du Louvre or walk all the way up on the Champs-Elysées to Arc de Triomphe. I took my granddaughters, ages 8 and 12, to Paris for a week, and this hotel made all of the difference. We staying in a family room, which was perfect for us - two connected rooms, where we could leave the room doors open at all times, yet lock the door to this little "apartment." Breakfast was amazing each morning and the hotel staff was extremely helpful about any question we might ask. The location is near the Madeleine Church, in one of my favorite areas of Paris, easily walkable to Opera, to the Louvre, to the Seine. I am looking forward to my next trip to Paris just to stay here!

A beautiful hotel in the center of Paris. Excellent service and beautiful rooms. The staff is very helpful, the car is neatly parked by the staff in the private parking garage. The care for the guests is very high, sometimes even almost a little too much.
Breakfast is also of high quality and the breakfast room has a nice view of the lively street.

I stayed at the Hyatt for three nights because I had been put off by the small room at a non-chain hotel in Paris. It was in a great location, the room was spacious, there was a bath, and other than the fact that it was old, I had no complaints.

Some people say it's expensive, but prices are rising everywhere in Paris right now, so if you can stay safely and comfortably (even if you lock your door and go out, you'll get robbed!) and the location is good, I didn't think it was that expensive.

Breakfast wasn't included, so you could buy deli food and eat it, or go to a cafe.
It's convenient to return to the hotel for the afternoon drink service and then go out again.

I recommend staying on both the right bank and the left bank this time to get around Paris.

Small hotels are cheap, but if you come from Japan, your suitcases are big and you'll have trouble finding a place to put them! I recommend a slightly larger hotel.

The hotel doesn't have a spa, so if you ask, they will arrange a masseuse for your room.

Our family of four (two daughters 13 and 15) spent 7 nights at the Madeleine and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The staff were amazing, friendly and invested in our comfort. We had a "family suite", which consisted of two rooms connected by a private hallway (room 101 and 103) which was perfect for us. The girls got their own rooms but it felt as if we were in a large suite! We had planned to switch hotels for the last couple of days, but ask to extend our stay there because we were so happy with the rooms. They went out of their way to make that happen for us as I know the hotel was full. The rooms were meticulously clean, and well stocked. They let us check in early to one of our rooms, which was excellent as we had a long flight. The other room wasn't ready by 4pm (it was only shortly after) but they left us a complimentary bottle of wine and a snack! We took advantage of the 5-7pm happy hour, which included a complimentary drink and snacks. The hotel makes fresh madeleines every day which are complimentary and so delicious! We also used the sauna and fitness center which was perfect. The staff made us feel like family. We received written directions and suggestions on places to visit and things to do. From the free glass of champagne and orange juice for the kids upon check in to the hotel arranged taxi upon check out, we highly recommend staying in this beautiful boutique hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything and is a very modern hotel with good sized rooms. We had a family connecting room and it was very nice. The breakfast was included, good options. We worked with the concierge in advance to book tours and tickets and the individual that helped us, Natalya was amazing and very responsive. However, the reason we have given a 3 star review is that the service during our stay was not very good and there is a lack of response in a timely manner from the hotel. Twice during breakfast we ordered from the ala'a carte menu and they forgot to make our order. Also, a few days before we were arriving we emailed them to confirm our car pick up. No one responded after a few attempts and when we called no one picked up the phone until 2-3 attempts. During our stay another guest's charges were incorrectly charged to our room including a wine bottle, dry cleaning charges, parking charges and breakfast charges. It took multiple emails and calls to correct this and there is still one 10 Euro breakfast charge that has not been corrected despite attempts to email the hotel staff. We did not order any coffees and were incorrectly charged. I am really dissapointed since the hotel was very nice but either there is a lack of training for the staff by management or they are charging extra to our bill and don't want to bother correcting. Once I receive the last credit back for the incorrect breakfast charge I will update my review. I am hopeful that since no one is responding back to our emails this review will help provide a response.

Thank you for understanding

This hotel is one of the best hotels to stay at in Paris if you would like a 5-star hotel experience in a luxurious yet no-fuss and very Parisian experience. (This is being written by a self labeled Francophile). The location is ideal because it is walking distance to many places to enjoy whether cultural, shopping or getting a bite to eat but it is not in the most bustling areas.

Our stay was in a junior suite and it was pleasant and quiet with a nice view.

I wanted to particularly call out the really great staff at the Front Office, especially Mdme. Yousra, who was not only helpful during the stay but also afterwards with a mishap at CDG airport with our airline, she went out of her way even after we checked out, to keep in touch, really promptly, and made a huge difference. Other reviews on this site refer to specific individuals so I think this is a pattern about this unique place. We also received very cordial and warm attention from Tom.

I have stayed at the Park Hyatt Vendome as well, and although that hotel is very nice, I would say the culture and intimacy of the Hyatt Paris Madeleine is far better.

This is my 4th consecutive year of returning to this hotel. All the hotel staff, from line staff to managers, are warm and welcoming from the moment I walked into the hotel, and is the main reason I continue to return as a home away from home for me. The hotel location is central to many attractions, great shoppings and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Daily breakfast is always a treat to start a pleasant day. Besides the fantastic array of food choices, it is a pleasure to be surrounded with smiling faces and attentiveness from Ana, Claire, Irina, Arif, Martim and others. It is always a nice chat with Nathalie (GM) who takes great pleasure to greet and chat with the guests each morning. We also had some amazing meals from Chef Julian. While they are many good restaurants around, I always made a point of dining in the hotel lobby bar at least once or twice during my stay. The early evening aperitif is a nice touch for hotel guests to enjoy a complimentary drink to start relaxing for the evening. There is where I also got to visit with Nathalie and Gilles (Director of Operations) a bit as they finished their work day. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone, traveling solo or with family/friends.

Loction is excellent, close enough to metro if you decide to go to major attractions that are not walkable.  Otherwise, you can walk to the Louvre, place de la Concorde, Fontaine de Mers, Luxor Obelisk, Ponte Alexandre III, L'eglise de la Madeleine,  Champs Elysees, L'Opera and Arc du Triomphe. Also, close to shops and museums. The staff upon check in were very friendly and helpful. They speak French and English. The room was clean and smelled good. The bed, although firm, was comfortable enough. Daily housekeeping was available (not sure if it's only for elite members).  Being a globalist member, I was upgraded to a bigger room. Daily complimentary bottled waters were provided (for elite members). The first room assigned was without a view and the sink was not draining but it was fixed immediately when I let them know. However, on the 4th night, I tried to use the bath tub but ended up not using it because the water didn't drain (or so I thought). Later on, after fiddling around with it I figured out that you have to twist something in order for the tub to drain. The shower collected water after a few mins of use, probably due to clogged drain, I'm not sure. All these were brought up to the front desk and they assigned me a new room (with a city view), which was available in the evening.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with how efficient the hotel staff handled the problems I've encountered. They've made my stay wonderful and memorable! Highly recommended.

The Hyatt Paris Madeleine is a really nice hotel with a great location (we were able to walk to all the main sites in Paris - most places are 1-1.5 mile walk from this hotel). The hotel lobby is striking with a large skyline in the middle of the room. The staff is ever helpful and attentive. Would stay here again!
