Rooms were nice but small as expected for Paris. I got in late and tried to charge my phones for a flight the next morning. Phones wouldn’t charge because a a circuit breaker flipped which is frustrating but not necessarily the hotels fault. Called down and waited and no one came up. Had to go down to the front desk and get upset to get anyone to take care of the problem. Can’t believe that it was necessary in such a high end hotel and up way later than I was expecting trying to charge my phone.
My kind of hotel: cozy, stylish, super well located (and in this instance super well means SUPER well). Super in the centre with none of the centre disadvantages. Beautiful interior and bar, breakfast area is amazing (patio). Breakfast all super fresh and tasty. I know where I’ll stay when back in town.
Ideal location in Paris, close to everything. Warm, friendly staff, helped us navigate restaurants, healthcare, transportation; made us feel very much at home. Fantastic daily breakfast buffet that we looked forward to every morning. Loved our stay here.
Perfectly located on the chicest quiet street, in the middle of EVERYTHING! The staff at this boutique, 5 star, hotel are warm, inviting and solicitous. They made us and our two school age daughters feel very welcomed and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious! The beds are amazingly comfortable and there was space for us, a cot and our bags. The general manager and her staff did everything to make our stay amazing. We can’t wait to return!
Please be careful of this hotel as they will fraudulently charge your credit card. I booked them on Hotels.com as a refundable pay at the hotel booking and they immediately charged my credit card and refused to refund. After numerous complaints, they refunded partially and then ignored all my subsequent messages. They belong to Starshotel group from Italy and have been reviews for this hotel group. Plenty of other choices and don’t take a risk with this hotel as they are definitely not 5 star rating.
A wonderful place in the heart of Paris. It was our second time in 10 years and the hotel is still fantastic. The setting, the interior design, everyone’s politeness are just amazing. We particularly love the sitting corners in the lobby and the restaurants. It’s like being at home in a wonderful palace. We must admit we are also mesmerized by Heliot’s (the cat) lazy complaisant presence on the fauteuils. The first time we were with the family in the suite which was amazing. This time we were two in a double room and the size is pretty much Paris average and the bath according to the room. We enjoyed the quiet of Rue Cambon. We can’t wait to come back.
I enjoyed a lovely stay in the heart of paris! With a lovely breakfast buffet as well as a romantic dinner at the L’Assaggio. I tried the Vitello Tonnato as sell as the Agnolotti del plin both extraordinary!! I will be back shortly!!
I stayed at the Castille, because this was the chosen hotel for a wedding I was invited to in Paris. The property is lovely. The BEST part of the hotel is the breakfast in the morning. It was nothing less than spectacular. Fresh fruits, pastries, breads, breakfast salads, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, lox and so much else. Also offering orange juice, grapefruit, water and champagne. What got me up in the morning was the joy this brekkie brought me, and Im not really a breakfast fan. I did have a few issues however. My bathtub was not cleaned upon arrival, with the thickest dirtiest ring around the tub. Towels that were stocked in my bathroom had holes in them. And my mini bar never really got properly restocked. These are not the biggest issues, however, when paying the going rate per night, every single detail does matter, and I wish I would have gotten slightly higher quality service in my room. All of the staff was amazing and kind! I did appreciate all of them.…
You can t beat the location Rue Cambon clearly. The rooms need to be renovated a bit. They are very small, bathrooms are nice but without bathtubs. Beds are comfortable and basically it was a nice stay. However, my friend used Concierge/front desk at two occasions and it was a disappointing experience. 1- He called them and asked them to send me a nice welcome note from him and left his contact. I was greeted with an envelope from front desk containing my friend note printed with the note he had sent to the hotel....not really thoughtful 2- My friend sent me some treats because he could not be here when I arrived. Someone knocked at the door and brought be a bad with no note, no info and could not tell who it was from. I almost did not open it not knowing where it was coming from...again, did not bother to add a small note to say who had sent it. Really not what you expect from a 5 star hotel so I don t think I will be back as there are so many options in Paris. The details make the difference and I would not recommend except for the location.…
We originally stayed at this hotel about 30 years ago when my company sent me to work in Paris and we stayed 3 or 4 weeks in a duplex room while we looked for an apartment. So this was a trip down memory lane.! - that we really looked forward to. FOR: - Location, location, location - Good sized duplex room - Wonderful Acqua di Parma toiletries - Mini bar water and sodas included in room price AGAINST: - It’s hard to understand how a 5* hotel does not control simple details - kettle did not work - downstairs TV only had 3 or 4 channels - upstairs bedroom TV did not work at all - coffee machine did not work properly - why provide a coffee machine and only 1 coffee capsule in a double / duplex room?? - the bedroom toilet was broken and supported by a piece of wood (see photo) - the same wall was broken (see photo) - the bathroom mirror shaving section was obviously only for large basketball players (see photo - incorrectly installed) - cabling around TV etc is a nightmare and potentially hazardous (see photo) - etc. We did ask reception to fix the above problems on our first morning - having arrived at 23:30hrs the first day. We were told that maintenance would do so - and the receptionist wrote down a list of items to be addressed. But - they didn’t. And on checkout the (different) receptionist did not even ask “How was your stay” or even “I hope you enjoyed your stay”. Clearly a serious management and quality control issue … where this hotel will potentially go out of business if they do not quickly get their act together…
