If you are looking for a refined, elegant hotel near Le Marais, this is it. The Hotel decor is elegant and refined without being stuffy. The patio, lobby and dining areas are welcoming and intimate. There is a open, honor bar off the lobby stocked with quality wine, champagne and spirits for a drink with friends all afternoon and evening.

My room was truly memorable, which is saying a lot given how much I travel. It was beautifully decorated with open beam ceilings and deep set character windows overlooking the streets below. It had a comfortable and lovely living room area, well appointed bath, and large bedroom with period antique furniture.

The staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.

My only criticism is that the support staff could be better trained. In the middle of a business breakfast I was holding in the dining room, one of the support staff decided to vacuum the room around us. Which made our business conversation impossible and raised dust around our meal. I did mention something to the front desk and hopefully that will be rectified in the future.

But it all this hotel is highly recommended and a beautiful find in the heart of Paris.

Located in the very cosmopolitan district of Le Marais and within the Place des Vosges, this is a beautifully charming Parisian boutique hotel.

The entrance to the hotel is what you envisage every Parisian hotel should look like. The hotel is tastefully decorated, with a stylish lounge that doubles as the breakfast and evening dining room, along with the library and outdoor terrace. It was so enjoyable to sit in the terrace as the sun sets for aperitifs or a digestive in the evening, or just to have breakfast or dinner.

We had breakfast at the hotel on every morning of our stay, which was enjoyable. Breakfast consisted of a buffet selection, and cooked eggs were also on offer, and cooked to your liking (scrambled, omelette), along with freshly brewed tea and coffee which was brought to your table.

We booked a superior room, which was a reasonable size that overlooked a gorgeous courtyard garden, and the bathroom is off the bedroom, as is the separate toilet. To access the shower in the bathroom you have to step into the deep bath which was a little awkward to step into, and the shower/bath had a privacy and shower curtain, which I don’t particularly like.

The entrance between the bedroom, bathroom and toilet is also very narrow.

The bed and pillows were comfortable, the room had in-room air conditioning, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. I thought the bedroom furniture was quite dark and looked tired, and not really the antique style or the French provincial style I was personally expecting in a boutique hotel. The hotel has a lift, although quite tiny, however that’s not unusual for European boutique hotels.

The staff were friendly, engaging and very helpful and most spoke English (as a second language), which helped us immensely.

The hotel is opposite the Place des Vosges and surrounded by cafes, restaurants, bars, boutique art galleries and several smaller museums, along with Victor Hugo's house which is only a 2-min walk from the hotel, all worth visiting.

The streets in and around the hotel were a joy to meander in and there is so much history in the area to enjoy. The hotel is a short walk to the Seine River and about a 20 minute taxi drive to the Eiffel Tower or the city centre of Paris.

Highly recommend Le Pavillon de la Reine

I can't praise this hotel and staff highly enough. This is our 3rd trip to Paris and we always try to stay in a different area.
Our room was lovely (room 52), so clean and spacious for Paris. The breakfast was delicious and such good quality. We have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and are very fussy.
The concierges recommended two great brasseries in the neighbourhood and were very knowledgeable. All the staff were so great and I work in hospitality myself.
Well done guys.

My stay at the Pavillon de la Reine was a long time coming and it didn't fail or disappoint. Perfectly located to access many of the Marias' charming cafes and bistros and super stylish shops and boutiques as well as countless museums. The hotel is so beautiful, hidden away in a quiet courtyard, you would harldy know you were in a city. Beautiful inside with warm cosy interiors, the hote is bursting with country-style touches and oodles of charm. Breakfast is absolutely outstanding with a very wide choice to keep even the fussy eater happy. The hotel has an honesty bar stocked with many drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again,

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Place des Vosges in the Marais neighbourhood. Friendly and hospitable, staff are at hand to attend to your every whim. The rooms are uniquly designed, I had a suite which was generous in size with large bathroom, separate WC, large lounge area and bedroom. The breakfast was vast and super tasty. The spa was so relaxing and thoroughly recommended.

We spent two nights here recently and found the staff, and service to be delightful, helpful, and very attentive. The hotel is beautifully situated on the right bank with so many great spots all around - shopping, restaurants, museums, etc. The breakfast is delicious and relaxing, and there is great food the rest of the day with an honor bar for the afternoon and evening.. The courtyard on a pretty day is delightful.
The two distractions for us were the exceedingly small, dark bedrooms and the tiny hallways and elevator. When shown our first room, we asked to be moved, and were given a room that was slightly better. There is no room for suitcases and with two people in the room we felt as if we were on top of each other. The decor is SO dark - black painted walls and doors, dark colored curtains and carpets, etc. And the lighting in the bedrooms is very dim despite there being sconces and lamps everywhere. It just felt like a basement room and did not have a refreshing feel. The hallways and elevator were very small also... like a doll house. Though the service was great, the tiny, dark rooms will prevent us from returning.

The Pavillion de la Reine is a lovely, intimate boutique hotel tucked behind the cloisters in the Place des Vosges, a genuine Parisian neighborhood. It's very fashionable and tasteful, though not pretentious or grand. A very easy place to relax in. Very helpful staff. The lobby public rooms work as well any I have set foot in: they serve breakfast, aperitifs, dinner, lobby lounging very effectively. A beautiful courtyard is out front too. Standard rooms are nicely decorated, though the more contemporarily themed ones work better. They are small though. It's not a hotel for the claustraphobic. Still, it's got great atmosphere and one feels as though they are staying at a private club, versus a hotel.

For our Christmas holidays this year, we took a trip to France and stayed in a variety of hotels, 7 in total. As we moved from hotel to hotel, there were certain things we focused on the most so I decided to rate them at each hotel.

Bathroom (whether had a shower) – very nicely equipped bathrooms, some had the toilet separate, some did not. A super nice shower which you do not always see in France.
Lobby – small but nice, with a fabulous courtyard that is all lit up
Location in the city or town – good location, on a very nice square in the city (called the pink square because of the color of the stone used in the buildings there)
Size of room – generous in size
Breakfast – good
Elevator (was there one?) – yes
Ambiance - Delightful. The rooms are so beautifully decorated. We will stay here again when we return to Paris. We loved the entire experience here.

Of all the places we stayed this trip, this was my favorite. It is in a different area of the city than we have stayed in before, but we really liked it. Lots of restaurants around, an easy walk to Notre Dame, and quieter at night.

Everything was perfect! We were upgraded to a huge suite and welcomed with flowers, chocolates & a bottle of wine. The location on the Place des Vosges can't be beat - lots of shops & restaurants nearby. Breakfast had sweet & savory sections and was served in the cozy front rooms. Service was outstanding. Rudy got us a reservation at Miss Ko - so fun! We loved our stay.

Pavillon de la Reine ranks as one of my favorite hotels in the world. It is located in the heart of the Marais on the Place des Voges and all Paris is at your feet and yet, when you walk through the entrance, you are in a little haven of quiet beauty and comfort in a courtyard facing a 16th century building that has been redone with exquisite taste. The service is professional and personal without ever being obtrusive. We stayed in a suite with a small comfortable living room and an ample bedroom with a kingsize bed. The bathroom was luxurious, marble, double sinks, large walk in shower and large tub and heated floors, the linens and accessories top of the line. Our tall windows overlooked the beautiful courtyard. Breakfast was included and, in addition to the opulent cold and hot buffet, there was a menu to fit personal tastes. Food options throughout the day were delicious. The most distinguishing feature remains the warmth and excellence of the service, from its incredible management team to its housekeeping. A perfect hatel in a perfect setting. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.
