Hotel is in a great location in la Marais area close to good restaurants and Bastille Opera House. But 10-15 minute walk to Metro .It is away from the main tourist area which means it is quiet and frequented by locals. Excellent buffet breakfast.

We stayed at this lovely boutique hotel for a week. The location was fantastic. You enter through a lovely private courtyard which is a great spot of a drink in the afternoon, it's a very romantic setting, like you're in another world. Service was great, everyone at the front desk was very helpful with confirming restaurant reservations etc as our... More

I stayed at the Pavillon multiple times in the late 80s and 90s but stopped because their electrical system and outlets were bad when computer modems and internet access became important. But I'd heard they did a major renovation some years ago so decided to give it another try. For perspective, I've been to Paris over 100 times and stayed... More

The hotel was… spectacular. The staff was friendly and attentive and extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and car services. And we are so glad we had the breakfast. It was our favorite part of the day. The hotel really made the trip special, since it was so comforting to come back from a long day and relax. For those wondering:... More

Super quiet luxury hotel tucked away from the Place des Vosges- hotel upgraded us to first class Junior Suite overlooking the courtyard - lovely staff who listened to my hesitant French and kindly replied in simple French even though they spoke good English - although no restaurant as such there is a good menu for snacks and drinks in the... We stayed 4 nights after a cruise. This was the first time we'd stayed in Marais - and it was wonderful. This hotel is in a super location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were on the third floor on the back of the hotel. It was very quiet. Our room had many 'old world' touches that we... More

Perfect location and beautiful hotel - a retreat in the middle of a beautiful part of the city. We never heard another guest and felt we had the place to ourselves. Friendly staff made travel arrangements and reservations. I requested a deluxe room with a queen bed - we got a 2 story suite with bathroom on 1st floor and... More

We stayed one night to finish our road trip around France. This was our first stay in the Marais and this elegant hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring on foot all sorts of historic places. We stayed at this hotel a while back. The service was very nice. They have a courtyard where you can have cocktails, and the hotel is on the Place des vosges. We had a very nice room that had been recently refurnished. The prices were moderately expensive. If you want a high end hotel in the Marais, I would recommend.

I've stayed at Le Pavillon de la Reine 5 times in the past 3 years, and I'm staying there again this September! The last time was March 2015. Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
