The hotel has clearly been recently renewed, always keeping an old-fashion look. I have also noticed the deep cleanness of its spaces, both public and private. Those are definitely positive points. What has really disappointed me is the breakfast. It's very poor! Moreover, products are mainly industrial and still under plastic!... From a 4* hotel I would expect a larger... More

Dear Oreinar, Thank you so much for having chosen our hotel for your stay. We are delighted to read that you liked the hotel and the cleanliness. The renovation has been finished last year and we wanted to keep the traditional Parisian flair for the hotel to go with all the original art objects and the period furniture. We sincerely... More

Arrived in Paris shortly after the horrific attacks, expecting to find a dark mood along with the gray and rainy weather. Instead the city, and especially the Hotel Duc de Saint Simon, was aglow with light and holiday cheer. The rooms in the hotel are not cookie-cutter but individually designed to reflect old world glamour. The basement bar and breakfast... More

Hotel Duc de Saint Simon is charming and luxurious without the crowds of a larger hotel. If you want a quiet retreat that feels like being wrapped in a warm blanket, it is perfect. My room was traditional, elegant Paris, and the bathroom completely modern. The staff could not have been more helpful or professional. Also, superb location near the... More

My wife and I spend at least 3-4 weekends a year in Paris and we love staying in the 6eme. We also enjoy trying different hotels every time we do visit. The Duc de Saint Simon is a charming, boutique hotel situated very close to the Rue du Bac and Boulevard Saint-Germain - perfect location. However the rooms are TINY,... More

Dear MlkeyCh, Thank you so much for having chosen our hotel for your Paris visit and taking the time to write a review in the TripAdvisor. We are so sorry about these small room sizes in our beautiful city but at the same time these old buildings make all the charm of Paris & Saint Germain des Pres. Our hotel... More

Our latest trip to Paris was quite spontaneous, and we made our booking based on what was available in St. Germaine neighborhood. Good reviews by TripAdvisor community were key factor in our choice, and somehow I did not have doubts that we will like Duc de Saint Simon. Our expectations were fully met and even exceeded, and we haven't regretted... More

Very pleased with the hotel's location, as well as the rooms, staff and breakfast. Very charming property. Loved the lobby area, lower level bar/dining areas and outdoor seating at the entrance to the property. Our room was very pleasant, roomier than anticipated. It was a treat to just walk out of the hotel and have access to restaurants and sightseeing.

Located just off bustling St. Germaine Blvd., this hotel was like an oasis of calm, charm and civility. The hotel staff, with whom I emailed extensively before our arrival, could not have been more helpful. Upon arrival, they were welcoming and so very helpful with everything from arranging car service to and from CDG, to walking directions, to restaurant tips... More

We have been staying in this hotel intermittently almost 20 years. I am sorry to say it has lost its original sparkle and charm. We were moved to a suite the second night because the first room was tiny, although charming and freshly redecorated. When we got ready to retire, we discovered there was only one dressing gown and the... More

This hotel is located in a charming area not far from the Tuileries, Musee d'Orsay, Louvre, etc. It's an easy walk to the great sites of Paris, shopping and neighborhoods of the left bank. I really appreciated their email a week ahead of my arrival offering to provide a car from the airport.
