My son and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Montalembert, which is perfectly situated in St. Germain. The rooms were lovely—fresh, modern décor, comfortable beds, in pristine condition—and had a beautiful view of Paris rooftops and sights (suggest requesting a higher floor for best view). The staff were enormously helpful, welcoming, and attentive, answering our questions, making dinner reservations, arranging taxis, etc.

A tip to the visitor: Clarify what’s included in the breakfast (that was part of our room rate) and what incurs additional charges. (Because we weren’t told this, staff kindly waived our extra charges—thank you!) I’m a big fan of room service breakfast, so I particularly appreciated that service and the breakfasts themselves (and that the hotel didn’t slap on high delivery fees, as is often the case in the US).

Overall, I highly recommend the Hotel Montalembert and look forward to my return!

Dear Deborah2484, We were so happy to see your TripAdvisor posting this past weekend. Thank you for sharing your guest experience with us, and future guests. In behalf of all our teams, I would like to thank for noticing the hard work we put on a daily basis to maintain and upkeep our hotel. Indeed, we take pride on offering an excellent and gracious service and also facilities that reflect the level of passion and engagement for our guests satisfaction. The fact that you noticed this, is our best reward. Moreover, many guests share your opinion and find the location of the hotel ideal for visiting beautiful shops, museums and other places of interest. Also thank you for your detailed feedback concerning breakfast. It is indeed a key moment and it sets the tone for the rest of the day. It is particularly enjoyable to know that our Room Service Staff participated in making each of your mornings special and memorable. Also thank for mentioning the confusion about the breakfast additionals, I am glad to see that our staff is empathetic and did not hesitate to remove it from your invoice. I have already shared your experience with our Food & Beverage Director, for us to improve our communication and avoid any further incomprehensions from happening. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip to our capital and providing you with another exceptional experience. MB Director of Operations

I hadn't been to Paris in 20 years, so I was incredibly excited for my trip and the Hotel Montalembert did not disappoint.

The location is perfect for restaurants, the Metro, bars, clothes shopping, cafes, bistros, and leisurely strolls. There's some very historic streets and more modern areas. It's also very close to places like Musee D'Orsay, Esplanade des Invalides, and the Louvre Museum. Perfect!!

The hotel itself is small, which is what we wanted, but beautifully appointed and decorated. Our room was beautiful with the most comfortable bed. We also appreciated the separation of the bathroom (shower, tub, and sink) from the the toilet. More hotels in the US should take this approach. The fixtures and fittings felt very high-end for the most part (some wear and tear here and there) and the shower and tub were fantastic. Turndown service happened each night, and the cleaning of our room was efficient and very thorough.

The staff were, for the most part, pretty amazing (great English, professional, helpful, kind). But, we do want to highlight the restaurant staff in particular. Sanghetta, Joeffrey, and Sasha (and we didn't get two other restaurant staff names) were amazing. They were always smiling, always helpful, and always indulged our attempts at speaking French, and even helped us say and pronounce the words correctly. The service they provided each morning was wonderful, so thank you.

The breakfast was fantastic (especially the scrambled eggs) and for a Brit and American traveling together, they provided the perfect tea and coffee options.

All in all, a wonderful stay at Hotel Montalembert. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely consider returning.

From the moment we walked in- we were treated so kindly and attentively.

We showed up hours before check in but they took our bags and showed us the bathrooms to freshen up and even offered us breakfast if we wanted it.

The restaurant had a nice continental breakfast included with our stay but I went a la carte and it was very reasonably priced. The restaurant staff was lovely as well.

Our room was clean and we had chocolate and water waiting for us in our room upon check in.

Every night they did a turn down service in that they provided us more bottled water, and put little mats down by our bed sides which i thought was a neat touch.

Our Bathroom was very modern . I loved our window that we could open up like french doors and look out into a garden area.

The location was awesome. There was a grocery store across the street, the pharmacy was just within a block. The Metro Stops were maybe 2 blocks in either direction. We were 3 blocks from the Seine and walk across the bridge and you are at the Louvre!

Our stay was sublime! English speaking folks will feel at home right away since English is spoken clearly both in person and in coorespondance.

I felt disappointed. Overall, I felt the hotel experience was ‘Meh’, and this hotel was too expensive for that sort of response. I had been looking forward to my stay in the hotel and had booked a junior suite and was still surprised at how small the room was. Breakfast was disappointing as the choice included with the room was limited in a surprising way - lots of dishes but none I particularly wanted, and none of the a la carte items could be ordered individually without paying extra. The housecleaning staff were incredibly sweet and conscientious as were the waitresses at breakfast (the pricing policy was not set by them). The front desk gentlemen were friendly but unhelpful for the two straightforward requests I made of them. So nothing terrible, just nothing 5 star.

What a wonderful little hotel in the heart of Saint Germain! Stayed here at the suggestion of a friend after leaving a different hotel after 1 night stay…and the staff at Hotel Montalembert did everything to make up for it.

It feels like a home away from home. Set in a beautiful building, the staff is lovely and extremely accommodating (shout out to Matthieu, Hugo and Pascal at the front desk/concierge). The hotel is tucked back from Rue de Bac making it quiet (you can actually open your street facing windows without having to hear traffic of a busy street or boulevard). The rooms are cozy, clean and well appointed. It’s also a value - you get all of the service & comfort of a bigger 5 star hotel, but at a better price with a boutique hotel vibe. I highly recommend.

Merci Beauvoir, Hotel Montalembert!

We had a 3 night stay in Paris and chose Hotel Montalembert for our family of 4 (which include two teenage boys). We had two adjoining rooms on the 5th floor which were just lovely and surprising spacious for Paris standards. Each room had a quaint balcony overlooking the street and architecture. We could not fault the cleanliness of the rooms, which were well appointed and had plenty of storage (for all our suitcases). The complimentary Madelines on arrival were a lovely touch and the vintage cage elevators were just so charming. There is a Monoprix supermarket conveniently across the road, perfect to pickup snacks (sushi is really good too). Breakfast was included with our booking which we enjoyed downstairs and on one occasion delivered to our room. There were the usual traditional selections (croissants, pastries, eggs to order etc) and healthier options too. We really looked forward to breakfast every morning. Overall the service was great but perhaps a few more smiles would not go astray with some of the wait staff. Perhaps this is the French way.
The location was perfect with gallery lined streets and plenty of design and antique stores. It was not too busy nor touristy in the vicinity of the hotel which we appreciated. Musee d'Orsay, Louvre and Le Marais are all in walking distance and the hotel and the Concierge were brilliant at organising transfers, museum tickets and tours for us.
We had a very lovely stay at the Hotel Montalembert. The front of desk staff were always very friendly, helpful and always ready to assist. We would certainly recommend it to our friends and family when next in Paris.

We have stayed at this hotel before as a family of four. The location is perfect for the Louvre, City Centre and if you do not mind a 20 minute walk you are on the Champs-Élysées. There are lovely cafes and restaurants in the immediate location.

The Hotel it self is lovely and of a very high standard. The hotel has a boutique style about it with a quaint lift taking you to your floor. The rooms have been recently refurbished with bathrooms to a very high standard.

I think we have found our hotel for Paris and will definitely be staying there again.

First class staff and service. While rooms in Paris tend to be small, the rooms are smartly designed and equipped with modern conveniences especially plenty of power outlets. We loved our Jr. Suite. Great restaurant on site and terrific room service. Outstanding location in the 6th within walking distance of the major museums and surrounded by lots of cafes, bistrots, brasseries and restaurants plus a great grocery store across the street too! Uber rides were quickly accessed and arrived every time within 3 minutes (every single time!). We will stay at this hotel everytime we visit Paris!

Just returned from two nights at the lovely Hotel Montalembert. A great position in St Germain and super friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were compact, as you would expect for a city centre hotel, but certainly big enough, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff deserve particular mention - emails were responded to quickly with suggestions of great local restaurants which the team kindly booked for us with much efficiency - a schedule of all bookings was emailed and a hard copy given to us on arrival. A kettle was brought to the room moments after we asked for one. Nothing was too much trouble for them, including a late check out. We did not eat at the hotel so can't comment on food or drink. We thought that breakfast at 30 euros a head was rather steep so we went out for breakfast - after all, isn't that what you are meant to do in Paris?!

The Montalambert has an excellent location, quiet yet wonderful restaurants, cafes, shopping, and a Metro stop is a 3-minute walk. The staff is very efficient and helpful, while offering personal and caring service. Furnishings and fixtures seem to be updated with each of our visits, and the rooms are always very well-equipped. We had a "deluxe" room which did have a balcony, albeit very small, but we could walk out on it. Our room was front / street facing, and contrary to some of the other reviewers, we did not find the room to be loud at all. We loved everything about the hotel, from the rooms, to the staff, to the breakfasts...
