My wife and I visited Paris last month having just been there 2 years prior. This was the first time staying in the Montalembert. From the moment our car arrived to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. The staff was more than courteous and went the extra mile to assure that our stay was perfect. The location...

Felt like home immediately. Staff is very friendly with lots of attention to detail, they even know your name ! Breakfast was delicious, felt very comfortable. Love the way the interior is designed, rich quality of materials. Close by everything I was looking for, art and antique galleries, Paris Photo etc. Would love to go back.

I was returning to the Hotel Montalembert for the first time since I first came to Paris in 1952. The concierge, M. Leclerc, and others at the hotel were so welcoming, and so helpful in reserving hard-to-get restaurants, visits to museums and more. We had a view of rooftops and the Eiffel Tower. Hard to beat. And the nearby left...

My husband & I stayed here 4 nights and loved the hotel. Very helpful & friendly concierge, clean room, great location to sights/shopping/dining/metro/bus. Be sure to ask for a room with balcony - we had Eiffel Tower view! If you are older or disabled, ask for a bathroom with a normal shower- our tub was deep to step into (ok...

Excellent staff especially the doorman who looks like the Italian actor (Franco Nero) He was very pleasant. The hotel was in good location and I loved the terrace. Also convenient to the grocery store which is across the street. We had dinner in their restaurant and they have good food and excellent service, they are very attentive to your needs.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
