Hotel Lancaster is a decent 5-start quality hotel in Paris. Most staff are helpful and friendly. Room was clean with fresh fruit and water refreshed daily. Our room had a little balcony attached to the room, and it was a nice Parisian experience to have breakfast there. In-room dining experience was great with creative decoration and delicious meals. The location of the hotel is great, just steps away from George V Metro station on Champs Elysees. I would personally recommend shopping at Avenue Montaigne (8th Arr.) or Saint Honore (1st Arr.) for a more upscale experience instead. However, there are some areas that can be improved. The first night of our stay, there was very loud party going on and lasted until 1:00 a.m. For a hotel at this class, I expect to be informed ahead of my stay, so I can plan my next day schedule ahead of time. The next morning I was woken up very early to the noise from the floor above. This experience is a indication of not so great sound insulation. The doormen at the hotel were not very attentive, it appears they enjoy chatting and smoking with worker from near by properties instead of doing their jobs. Overall, it was a good 2-night stay at Lancaster considering its location and price range. We will revisit in the future hopefully with even better experience.

We spent 3 nights at the Lancaster and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Having booked through AMEX’s Fine Hotels Collection, we had a brilliant room + lounge area which afforded us some extra room to move around. The proximity to the Champs was a real bonus and made getting around really easy. The bar was good having just changed hands to Coopers Bay and breakfast was typically Parisian. We didn’t get a chance to sample the restaurant as it appeared to be closed during our stay. Our bed was fantastic and overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The concierge and staff were incredibly helpful, patient, and attentive. They knew my needs before I knew. By far the best service I’ve ever experienced. Great rooms and location. We will stay here again when back in Paris.

The Lancaster is a very nice, well kept hotel. The staff is what separates it from the rest. Everyone there was exceptionally friendly and eager to help. The place just has a great feel to it. The location is very convenient being right off the Champs Elysee and close to the Arc.We would definitely choose the Lancaster over the larger 5 star hotels of Paris.

We are return guests staying contently in 2008 and 2015. The location, friendly staff, charm and comfortable ambiance are tops. We like the small size and soft elegance. We were again well satisfied by most everything - good drinks at the bar, crisp bed linens, lovely view from the french windows. The minuses this time compared to a warm welcome at arrival even though we came by hired car nicely arranged by the hotel was no one to greet us. The trusty porter finally came out but the reception personnel seemed not even to notice our presence. We were later after coffee taken to our room about 2:30 pm as admittedly we arrived from an overnight flight at 12:30. Room 400 was comfortable and sort of shabby grand needing a lot of repainting with many scrapes and marks in all the woodwork and trim. The worst misfortune was a 4 am party in the next suite which clearly could be heard through the french doors to that living room. Upon notice to the front desk, we were escorted in our bathrobes to another room to try to sleep returning a few hours later for the rest of our stay. Champagne was kindly sent up the next day but the french doors are not soundproof. Avoid Room 400. The genial staff at reception was upbeat and gracious indeed and always helpful as we have come to expect. This was a better hotel overall in years past but still has much to recommend it. It needs significant improvements in routine upkeep in halls, bathrooms, closets and such and in reupholstery and comfortable furniture. There seems too be nothing comfortable to sit on in the otherwise spacious bedrooms. We will return but with lower expectations than previously. The hospitality world may be degrading inevitably like so much else!

The hotel and staff are amazing. Beautiful rooms and centrally located. Easy to walk to all of the sites in Paris, but not overcrowded. Fantastic restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk and all of the shopping is close as well. Would highly recommend.

The location is very good .But there were problems with ; --the room was smelly and when we reported it they said ' turn on the air conditioner' ! --bathroom was very uncomfortable and even dangerous . The bathtub had tall walls and no padding inside to keep you from falling down .. --the shower handels (all 3 of them !) were so confusing and not at all easy to work with . -- tv channels were very limited and very confusing to work with . --breakfast for a hotel at this price level was basic .. -- people at reception desk would no nothing about Paris and were of no help what so ever to guide the guests . We asked two of them for names of restaurants in two famous arias of the city and they did not have a clue about it --the night before our departure from Paris we asked the man ( named Guime) behind the reception desk to reserve a taxi to take us to the airport . He said all taxis are reserved ( in a city like Paris !) and the only option he offered was chaufer-driven car which would charge Euro 160 (!) to take us to the airport . When my wife gave him phone number of a taxi company and asked him to talk to them , he got the number and very rudely offered the reciever to my wife and said 'talk to them' (in French !) . Later we contacted a taxi company and next morning they send us a car which charged us Euro 53 to the airport . We love Paris but we will never go back to this hotel ..

We stayed here for 7 nights and would definitely go back again. This boutique hotel is right next to the center of the Champs-Élysées, George V metro, great shops, restaurants and of course - the Arc de Triomphe! Perfect location for our stay. We had previously stayed close to the Louvre, however definitely prefer it here. The rooms are large, beautifully decorated and come with complimentary bottles of Evian every day. The service is stand out! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Geoffray, to the exceptional front desk staff, friendly bar staff and professional restaurant staff - everyone remembers who you are and greets you like a friend. This personalized service is rare in the would of chain hotels and is definitely a stand out feature. There is a beautiful and serene green leafy terrace which we had breakfast and lunch at (you can choose to sit in the elegant restaurant as well). We dined at their restaurant (we chose 3 courses with wine) and can attest to the excellent quality of the meal which we can say was comparable to the Le Negresco (Nice) Michelin Star restaurant Le Chantecler! The ambiance is serene and intimate with mood lighting. The only drawback is that it’s only open Monday to Friday and has a limited menu. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

We searched long and hard to find a smallish luxury hotel for our anniversary weekend away. Hotel Lancaster did not disappoint us in any way. Location was perfect just round corner from Arc de Triomphe The glass of complimentary champagne was a welcome touch. The room was absolutely lovely with all amenities you need. I requested a kettle as although it had a lively coffee maker tea is always my first choice. Nothing was too much trouble. I’m already missing the comfortable bed and pillows. We used breakfast room service which was beautifully presented. What made this hotel though were the staff. There was a palpable ethos of everyone was focused on the well being of the guests, without being over intrusive. They were efficient and helpful from housekeeping to door porter & concierge. They were particularly helpful when husband left camera in a taxi! One very minor point in our room the bath/shower was quite high to step into and felt a bit risky which may have been more of an issue if mobility was restricted. It did not affect our stay Thank you for a memorable stay and I would thoroughly recommend if if your looking for a special hotel to stay in Paris. We will be back
