The original palace hotel in the heart of historic Paris on rue de Rivoli, Le Meurice is the very epitome of quiet elegance, the ultimate in the French art of living and alive with the artist's soul of wit and magic. It is an inspirational and fascinating place where 18th-century splendour and the most innovative modern comforts sit happily side by side. So much more than a luxury hotel, this is a gallery, an adventure, a living work of art.

The atmosphere here is quintessentially Parisian. It is opulent, elegant, and the perfect spot for a special occasion brunch. Live piano and the decor make it extremely luxurious. The staff went out of their way to make it special for us. They no longer do the buffet brunch and they've replaced it with a prix fixe menu with choices for your main. Our experience was great, but if you remember the buffet brunch, it's definitely different now. Getting the experience of trying an assortment of Cedric Grolet's pastries all in one location (and without having to wait on line) was the highlight of the experience. The baba rhum, featuring Cuban rum, was the BEST I've ever had! Don't miss the ice/snow wall at the entrance by the hostess stand!

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. Also one of the kindest and most thoughtful staffs I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. One example: we had a room with a patio overlooking the Tuileries and I had drug a stool out to enjoy the view. Next day (without me asking) there were a couple chairs and a little table out on the terrace. Our entire stay was utterly delightful and I can't imagine staying anywhere else next time we visit Paris.

Went for 2 days business trip, stayed in a suite and overall nice hotel but not uau factor. The suite was nice, breakfast nice but not amazing. I was expecting a palace feeling and service but it’s just another 5 stars in the capital, for the price I would stay in other places in Paris.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. what males the hotel is the staff, who in our experience were amazing. The hotel itself has the typical issues of older hotels. The lobby area is quite small and the hotel is overun by non hotel guests- there seems to be some sort of conference both days. Be sure to book a table if you want a drink at the bar else you stand no chance. Our room was stunning, the only negative was the bathroom did not have a shower- you kind of expect this at 1,700 euro a night. To shower you had to stand under un awkward shower in bath tub, when meant bending over as it was so low- and flooding the bathroom as there was no curtain. Le meurice reminds me of the Carlise in NYC or the Pricipe de SAVOIA in Milan. Lots of lots of charm, exceptional staff - but a dated hard product .

I recently had the opportunity to visit a charming location that held great promise for a delightful stay. The place was truly picturesque, offering a serene ambiance and beautiful surroundings. However, regrettably, the overall experience was significantly marred by the disappointing conduct of the employees, notably one individual named Adrien. Instead of a gratifying experience, my stay turned out to be rather uncomfortable. Unfortunately, on the morning of my visit, I encountered verbal harassment from an employee named Adrien. This incident deeply impacted my perception of the venue and left me feeling disheartened. It is unfortunate when a potentially enjoyable stay is marred by unprofessional behavior from staff members. I hope that the management takes steps to address these concerns and ensure that future guests have a more positive and comfortable experience.

Dear Getwaway08683005818, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to read that you encountered some problems during your visit. However, I would like to point out that there must be a misunderstanding, as there is no employee named Adrien in our establishment. Maybe is there a confusion with another hotel or restaurant? At Le Meurice, we are proud to deliver an impeccable high-end service to all our guests without exception. We remain at your entire disposal should you wish to discuss further. Yours sincerely, Franka Holtmann General Manager

Let me start with the good. Le Meurice is an absolutely beautiful place. It is located in very good location with Angelina’s restaurant and other activities nearby. The trash situation at the time didn’t cloudy my opinion of the hotel itself. However, the staff left me a bit underwhelmed. And honestly, part of it may be cultural. I am used to staff being friendly and cordial. However, the staff with the exception of one waitress was very stiff and not friendly in their demeanor. Everyone was attentive but not interactive at all. It was very off putting. I also found it strange that I was asked my room number every time I entered a dining area (or bar area) to be served (before even being seated). I didn’t see other patrons being asked that information before entering dining areas. It made me feel like the staff thought I didn’t belong there. I have visited similar hotels in the area (like Hotel Athenee) but never got the cold feeling I got at Le Meurice. That being said, if that is something that is not offputting- it is a great place for a lovely room and surroundings along with attentive service.

Dear Ms B, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review after your visit to Le Meurice. We are delighted to read that you appreciate the hotel ambience and decoration as well as the central location that puts the main Parisian attractions a stone's throw away from the hotel. Your comments regarding our staff's formal yet professional and attentive attitude has been well noted . Sometimes, younger staff members may be impressed by guests and appear a bit clumsy for which I would like to apologize. The teams have already been addressed a reminder and we will pay particular attention to this. We would be happy to be able to welcome you back in the not too distant future and have you experience a true DC moment as we strive to deliver. Yours sincerely, Franka Holtmann General Manager

The hotel is a historic grand hotel with plush and well equipped rooms. The rooms are clearly a few years old but extremely well maintained and also upgraded with the necessary power points and so on. The location is perfect for most tourist sites. Breakfast was good (but expensive as expected) and housekeeping was spot on. However, the experience with the staff was mixed. Most were terrific and as you would expect in a hotel of this type and cost. However, a handful were indifferent, which is perhaps unsurprising for Paris but unacceptable for this hotel.

Dear xanijiusa, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review after your recent visit to Le Meurice. We are delighted to read that you appreciated your overall experience, including the breakfast and housekeeping service. However, we are quite concerned that you felt some of the staff members to be indifferent and remain at your disposal should you wish to share more detailed information.
