I’m very disappointed with the interior of the room, we saw the pictures on booking.com and google maps and it looked 100% different and lower grade although it's a Dorchester hotel one of the top hotel chains. The room is not convenient at all there’s no mirror in the room not even a space to plug your phone to charge it they got us an old fashion extension to plug it in the closet so we can charge our phones. We paid this amount of money for nothing, although we stayed in the ritz and everything was 100% amazing! Historically the ritz is way older than le Meurice yet they changed a lot of things to make their clients happy and comfortable.
Rooms are small, but efficient. Very rundown same as 20 years ago. Great location top notch concierge, house keeping, toiletries, services. Nice gym, ok spa. Angelina is right next door as well as the best shipping area.
Booked to have a good rest after long travel day and long flight. The hotel arranged airport pick up in advance. I opted for the meet and greet option which was worth every euro! From that first moment to check in and the stay, the service was impeccable. My room was beautiful. Having booked thru AMEX had hotel credit and breakfast which was convenient and relaxing. If you want top drawer accommodations this would be the place. Paris was very crowded, busy, it was nice to have a quiet place to retreat.
Our stay simply could not have been better. From accommodations (the view was spectacular) to the service, everything was perfect. We felt at home from the moment we arrived and were given our requested early check-in to everyone making sure our granddaughter and her husband could extend their stay an additional night when their flight was cancelled at the last minute. We cannot wait until our next visit to Le Meurice.
My wife and I spent three nights at Le Meurice during May 2022. We had made our reservation through the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program. Upon check-in our room was upgraded to a lovely suite overlooking the Tuileries Gardens. Ferdinando, the Deputy Front Office Manager, gave us an excellent tour of the public rooms of the hotel and then escorted us to our room. The room was beautifully furnished and had a wonderful view over the Tuileries all the way to the Eiffel Tower. We enjoyed daily breakfast in the beautiful main dining room. The staff in the restaurant was excellent. Overall, our experience was spectacular and beyond our expectations. We hope to return soon.
Le Meurice is an elegant, classy, centrally-located luxury hotel in Paris. We just love it! Our room was stunning and the breakfast is unforgettable! The concierge was also tremendous at assisting with reservations at all the top restaurants. We had a lovely time having drinks each night at the cocktail lounge. Can't imagine a better hotel in all of Paris! Can't wait to return.
I had stayed several times at Le Meurice over the years and always felt that no other Palace in Paris (except maybe Le Bristol, more recently) came close to the best location and a true, classy Luxury establishment. After arriving from Israel, we checked-in for 2 nights before heading to our little gastronomy tour across France. From the very elegant and efficient valet team to front desk /check-in and getting to our room, everything was handled perfectly, the room with view over the Tuileries was as booked and a personal welcome note, flowers and gift were awaiting. The concierge Bertrand was very helpful and room service as well as cleaning were excellent. Our stay was great albeit short and we only got to enjoy the bar, as we had before, with a couple of Parisian friends who met us there. The restaurant seemed as beautiful as the last time we dined but we had too many plans across town to squeeze a dinner. And I hated that we didn't get to taste one of the pastries of the talented Resident Pastry chef Cedric Grolet....! I had soon the opportunity to be greeted by the GM, Franka, as well as the main managers who each introduced themselves and were ready to assist in any way possible. One of the signs of great Leadership is always how a team of managers and client facing employees handle themselves and address questions: in this hotel, you can tell that the GM has empowered them to perform at their best level and lets them shine while she, rather reserved, stays in the background and available if necessary: it is a rare quality of a true , humble and effective Leader that should be celebrated, especially in a Parisian palace where GM can sometimes act like “in your face” King/Queens of the castle Bravo Franka Holtman and thank you for making this stay as great as possible, this is why we will always return to Le Meurice, an institution that , over the years, stays true to its standard and roots. When in doubt when it come to choosing a great palace in Paris, go for Le Meurice that will always deliver. The one thing I would note as a possible improvement is that maybe the bar and lounge areas are a bit small for an hotel of that caliber: I know that real estate in this block is challenging but having more areas where guests can mingle and enjoy the atmosphere of this exquisite place would probably allow a higher level and sense of hospitality for the guests and their party…Maybe something that The Dorchester group can consider and could afford, even in this in-demand rue de Rivoli location …
A lovely hotel that will now cost you an additional service fee of 72 euro per night. Unlike ALL other hotels in Paris, Meurice now has this charge in order to help compensate service employees. Just thought you should be aware of this change.
Difficult to provide any negative for this hotel. It was magical from the front desk staff during checking in to Conciege booking amazing restaurants to amazing room with an amazing view. I can say this is the best hotel to date. I stayed in Four Seasons, Shangri-La, Ritz and other hotel in Paris, but I can truly say this hotel should be given the honor of “magical” hotel. Very “boutique” feeling hotel service with highly well trained teams. Great restaurants in the hotel(make sure you try the afternoon tea time), beautifully designed all around with centrally situated hotel, truly an hotel to stay. Only small glitch would be the front of the hotel, staff do not open doors for guest coming in via car service or not so welcoming. But once you step inside the hotel, this is where magic begins. I will highly recommend and will return to this hotel.…
In Paris, there are 6 classic "palace" hotels: The Ritz, Bristol, George V, Crillon, Plaza Athenee and Le Meurice. There are a few others also in the same realm: La Reserve, Cheval Blanc, Lutetia. Very simply, you can't go wrong with any of them. They are all extraordinary. The level of "spit and polish" is unmatched. Everything gleams and is perfect. Your choice is totally personal. The Meurice had a Philippe Starck lobby renovation a few years ago. It's striking, if not quite my taste. My suggestion: check rates and Amex Fine Resorts program. Many of these hotels offer specials. I would choose the one with the best deal. You won't go wrong with any of them.
