Visited while on honeymoon and had the best experience. The general duty manager Pierre was exceptional. Upon hearing that it was our honeymoon he immediately let us view different types of rooms with an upgrade at no charge for my husband and I to celebrate our most memorable trip together.

He also assisted us with restaurant reservations which was almost impossible to acquire on our own for the remainder of our stay and anytime he had seen us in the lobby he would greet and be of assistance. The breakfast was amazing, the vast range was exceptional and when called from the room the staff were always excited to help and on time with any request and a late check out was granted to us as well. My husband’s shoes were dirty from a day out and without us requesting when they cleaned the room they cleaned the shoes as well at no extra charge. All of this really made us feel that we received our money’s worth and more.

It will be difficult to stay anywhere else in Paris after this experience as the hotel really set the bar high for us.

This was our second time staying at Plaza Athenee, and it is exceptional. We are so grateful to Julien who was able to arrange early check in for us, and to be sure we had a complimentary fruit plate waiting for us when we arrived, as well as a basket of breads and coffees as we waited for our room to be ready.

What really stood out for me was that while we were out, we accidentally left the safe open and when we returned to our room, while the housekeepers were there, they explained what happened and assured us that everything was safe, and thankfully, it was.

I applaud this hotel for their staff and their high level of integrity.

I must say that the beds at this hotel are some of the most comfortable you will ever find, and the bathtub is exceptional. It is just the right depth!

The rooms are spacious and the location is ideal for high-end shopping and to be near the Eiffel Tower.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay and remains one of our favorite hotels in Paris.

Stayed there for two nights, with my daughter who stayed a total of four nights . We are regular clients of Dorchester London so we were sure we would like the hotel. We had a room above level of entry and where upgraded to a junior suite with tour efeito view, having every comfort, classic and light spirited at the same time. Amazing bathroom with every amenity u could imagine, good closet, very quick service, either room service or dry cleaning. From room service I tried croque plaza and lobster sandwiches both were amazing! Beautiful bathroom but shower pressure could be stronger. Service at concierge or at porter s is amazing and very keen on details . Only serious issue : no mirror in the room, just one facing the door of the room. Not the beat solution. If you can afford it just go !

I had booked for breakfast weeks before our arrival in Paris . Entering the hotel in 9 September no one welcomed or asked us about our visit . We asked the reception about our booking and shown us the breakfast room . After waiting five minutes and just watching the waiters, approached us one of them and informed us that he is going to call the lady who was for the reservation . Then came a lady who didn’t smile at all and just asked with attitude the name of the reservation . After she found the reservation she lead as to a corridor and shown as a coffee table with two chairs saying you can sit here . When I asked why we can’t sit in the restaurant room she replied is full booked , although there were empty tables Her name was Charleen .
In the site was written clearly that breakfast was served in the main restaurant gilded room and not in the corridor . And how could eat someone in a coffee table ?
Also although the dress code should be elegant were coming many people , probably customers with sneakers , shorts and baseball cups .
The carpet in the corridor was full of big stains unacceptable for 5 star hotel .
The foods quality as well was very low comparing other hotels .
Didn’t worth the visit at all and the staff should me more professional.

Dear Mr. Vangyt, Thank you for visiting the Plaza Athénée and for taking the time to share your experience with us about la Galerie. I am sorry that your experience did not live up to your expectations and assure you that your comments will be seriously considered and shared with our staff. I also inform you that if you want to have a breakfast in the main room, a reservation needs to be made in this restaurant which only take reservation from 8 to 9 am. Unfortunately, your reservation was made at la Galerie. I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon for a more pleasant experience. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury, sophistication, and unparalleled hospitality.

The attention to detail in every aspect of my stay was truly commendable. The room was not just a space; it was a haven of comfort and elegance. The tasteful decor, plush furnishings, and state-of-the-art amenities surpassed my expectations. Each meal was a gastronomic delight, showcasing a perfect blend of creativity and culinary expertise. The diverse menu and impeccable service further elevated the dining experience. The central location of the hotel allowed for easy exploration of the surrounding areas, adding to the overall convenience of my stay.

The Plaza Athenee comes alive during Paris fashion week and is the place to be. This hotel embodies Parisian chic and wraps it a cloak of excellence. The location is unmatched and the facade is unlike no other hotel in Paris.

For first impressions, Natalie did an excellent job at check-in and personally escorting me to my room. She took a real interest in my reason for the visit and was so helpful. Every day when I passed her in the lobby, she would call me by name and inquire about my day.

I often ate a quick bite at La Galerie at the hotel, and the staff there would remember me and provide excellent service. Next door, the bar was the epicenter of all connected with fashion week and had a great vibe.

The housekeeping staff were excellent, and they really mean express when you opt for express service!

I had a room in the Art Deco style and it was wonderful. Everything was super clean and things worked properly. Heavenly bed that provided a great respite.

I used the gym regularly and while small, it is well equipped.

Saving the best for last - the guest relations manager Funda Sen was unlike any other guest relations manager I have encountered. Extremely personable, highly efficient and even through such a busy week, she always managed to be there for all the guests. She is a whirlwind in signature red, remembering your name, asking you about your day, offering to help, providing suggestions, etc.

I want to thank every member of this wonderful hotel for a memorable stay as I count the days to my return...

The view is unbeatable but the room condition is very normal compared to the price paid. We have been waiting for 3 hours to check in after the scheduled check in hour. Thus our dinner appointment has to be postponed. And there is an additional 129.5Eur under "contribution employe" upon checkout, the staff had never informed us this is optional and just included it in the final invoice. We only found out from booking site later that this isn't part of tax or room charger they agree with. We have tried to contact Hotel Plaza Athenee for a clarification, but we didn't receive any reply after 7 days.

The hotel was overpriced to the point of disbelief. Yes, the interior is beautiful, and yes, the beds are comfortable, but 52 Euro for the continental breakfast meant that you'd have to eat ALL the croissants piled high on the breakfast plate, and it looked fabulous to make this "continental breakfast worth it. To be honest, if they charged 20 Euro for a croissant and a pot of coffee it would be fine, but even when you choose not to do the continental breakfast a pot of coffee was 24 Euro. The dinner in the courtyard was lovely, again PRICEY. However, the chicken dinner, a small amount of chicken, and I don't eat massive quantities, but this was a small portion, was delicious. Pricey, but delicious. It is a beautiful hotel, but if you are sightseeing like I was, then this hotel is not worth the price.

This is a very good hotel as far as five start hotels go, but I have to say it is very stuffy, I prefer the four seasons tho these two hotels are considered by most equals, my latter choice is by far a superior hotel. The Plaza athene totally misses the mark on making you feel at home. good location.

My anticipation for a stay at the Plaza Athénée, fueled by its reputation as a haven for high-fashion luminaries like Anna Wintour, was met with a reality that fell short of expectations. My time there was markedly average, leading me to conclude that the hotel, despite its prestigious guest list, is somewhat overrated.

In comparison, The Peninsula set a higher standard in almost every aspect, leaving Plaza Athénée trailing in its wake. Even four-star hotels I've visited previously offered a more memorable experience, highlighting the gap between expectation and reality at Plaza Athénée.

While I cannot comment on the dining, having not availed myself of the hotel’s culinary offerings, the acclaim it has received was one of the few aspects that aligned with its reputation. Unfortunately, this did not extend to the staff interaction.

A particularly disheartening experience occurred at the spa, where I was unceremoniously asked to leave while waiting for it to open, only to later be moved to a plainly appointed area when it was time to enter, like this room was bland...

the hotel was c lean and comfortable as it should be, It's a peculiar disappointment to find a place celebrated for its opulence and exclusivity to be so distinctly average in its actual guest experience.

In conclusion, the Plaza Athénée may carry the allure of celebrity and high fashion, but based on my experience, it lacks the substance and warmth that transform a hotel stay into something extraordinary. Without the draw of a significant event like a ball, or perhaps another discounted stay, I find little reason to return. The search for exceptional hospitality and a truly exclusive atmosphere continues elsewhere, I have no business returning .
