Back at the Ritz after several years closed for renovations, in the meantime, I stayed at the George V, the Mandarin and other fine hotels in Paris. The Ritz is a different place, where service, tradition, location and glitz take a new dimension. It has its own personality and there is no way to describe what makes that difference. Just... More

We went for drinks after dinner and really enjoyed the bar. As you might expect they have lots of specialty cocktails with various Hemingway inspired themes. Drinks were on the high priced side which sort of keeps crowds down without the need for a velvet rope. We would go again.

As time passes things change, and the Ritz has changed with the times. It's a little bit brighter, and has a little bit more shine, but I miss the days of the old Ritz. While here in Paris I got an email of all things, telling me it has reopened. I stopped by, and walked right in, which in itself... More

The moment you have placed your feet on the deep pile carpet and taken in the "other world" ambience you will know you are in one of the most prestigious hotels in the world. The staff as expected are courteous and efficient. My one little niggle is the kitschy bathroom taps and gold duck shaped outlet, also the crystal taps... More

Well, heard that the hotel has reopened after a lengthy renovation, I was curious to take a look. I dropped by on a rainy day without booking. Salon Proust was fully booked. I went to Bar Vendome instead. I waited outside for 10 minutes before being seated. That gave me a chance of admiring the new decor. Red velvet domineering.... More

Had not been here for 25 years, and happened to pass by just days after the re-launch. Flawless service, divine cakes. We went for afternoon tea, but stayed on for a pre-dinner drink. Beverage prices as you'd expect for such a storied property, but the Hemingway bar is v expensive, even by their standards. The new fit-out is in the... More

After being closed for 4 years it was wonderful to stay again and see the new improved Ritz. From the moment I arrived the hotel feels exactly how I remembered and brought back a million splendid memories. The character has been maintained and the outstanding service from all the staff especially the manager Christian Boyens. The new Chanel spa is... More

I visited this just opened hotel for a business event. I therefore did not actually stay in the hotel but what a great experience! It had just re-opened a week ago and it is stunning. The garden is a little haven in the midst of Paris. What impressed me most was the staff. They were just on top of everything... More

I have known the Ritz since I am a little boy and have stayed there many times or celebrated with family and friends. So I was very interested to see how 4 years of renovation have transformed the place. The good news: the Ritz soul and overall appeal are still there! When I entered the lobby I had a sigh... More
