My husband and I loved this hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was in a great location surrounded by metro stations. Great food and bars all walking distance. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was lovely and the no charge mini bar (alcohol free) was a very nice touch. I would be morr than happy to...

Very close to metro and other tourist destinations. Staff were lovely they even called a tour company for us, always willing to help. Very cute local restaurants and bars. Rooms smallish but very clean and the complimentary mini bar was fantastic.

We couldn't have been more pleased than we were with our choice of the Hotel Joyce for our recent stay in early May. We had a large superior room that was a very good value. The decor was stylish and felt like it was just updated it was so pristine. The lobby is bright with a steel enclosed atrium conservatory...

My sixth-floor room at the Hotel Joyce was gorgeous - I felt at home the second I walked in. So modern (with that lovely French touch) and light and clean. The decor is fab throughout the hotel. Breakfast is wonderful. The first-class staff are SO friendly. And there's a little all-day buffet at all Astotel group hotels in Paris -...

I have stayed in hotels all over the world and the staff here were so friendly and helpful. The manager here was so helpful that he even booked taxis and gave us very precise travel help within Paris metro and trains and Beaux Normandy. Very tidy hotel only detail of fault, there was no bar, but plenty of restaurants and...

We stayed for 4 nights recently and enjoyed it. The staff is great, the breakfast is very good, and the building is extremely quiet at night. They have complimentary soft drinks and snacks in the afternoon, and you can stop in any Joyce hotel in Paris for the same benefit. Cheers

The only downside of this hotel is this is a three-star hotel, so you cannot expect five-star amenities. Everything else is just great! Close to Metro. The staffs are helpful and caring! They are just amazingly good! There is a small open bar with snacks from 1 pm to 4 am. ( The time might change. ) So we never...

Super professional, accomodating. I showed up from my early flight from nyc, down at the hotel by 9am, with a room available no sooner than 1pm... by 10am, they offered a room already ready, so that I could get showered, rest etc. Of course, I stay in this hotel every time I come to paris, several times a year, so...

The best part was the service from the front desk. I bugged them many times about how to get to various locations using public transit. They were always helpful even when I repeated myself. English only was not a problem. Room was always clean. Breakfast is OK.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Standing at an unconventional spot of the upper 9th district, the Joyce Hotel is ideally located at the crossroads of the theater district, Place St-Georges, and the "hot-spots" of the fashionable South-Pigalle neighborhood. Maliciously decorated by Philippe Maidenberg, with nods to inevitable Parisian monuments, our hotel will seduce you with its comfort and bold design. Luxury car furniture recycled as improvised seats, inverted Eiffel Tower, delicate tromple-l'oeil paintings around beds, breakfast with bio breads and cereals under a very Eiffel-like glass roof: Everything is ready to usher you into a fun and surprising world. Our 44 rooms are full of thoughtful and delicate touches that add to the cosiness of the place. All rooms feature a quiet atmosphere, strengthened in some cases with a terrace or an enchanting view over the rooftops. Our team, available 24/24, will welcome you into a chic and relaxing atmosphere, while advising you on the top attractions of a perfect stay Find design rooms filled with art works and indulge in a burst of merriment and fresh air in the capital ... ... more   less
