Joyce Hotel was just like the photos - a really lovely hotel. We chose it because of previous reviews which were all great. We stayed for 2 nights with our teenage kids. Both rooms were great with some cool, quirky decor, clean and with free minibar of soft drinks. Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. Would...

There are a lot of good things about this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was in a great location, a short walk to 3 metro stations. They had a free snack/ drink bar opened from 2pm-2am. The rooms were fairly big and very clean. It's a great place to stay on a budget!

For the price, this hotel is well located, the beds are very comfortable and the WiFi is solid. It's all very practical and comfortable for a mid level 3 star hotel. The service was good too. There are free soft drinks and some snacks at the bar which is pretty handy and there's a selection of free drinks in the...

This hotel was great - awesome location close to a few different metro lines. Very cute and well-appointed. Room was small but I wasn't in it that much, and it was a similar size to others I've stayed in traveling Europe. In room included all the essentials: beds, refrigerator (including complimentary water/soda), TV, bathroom, safe, closet, desk, etc. Friendly staff,...

We stayed 5 nights from the 9th of November. As we entered the hotel we met Anna at the reception with a big smile on her face and her good will to help us with everything, which made us feel that it's not an ordinary hotel. All the staff also was helpful and kind. The room was very clean and...

Our first trip to Paris and we stayed at the Hotel Joyce because of the ratings and price point. It is a very nice hotel, modern and clean. The staff was exceptional, professional and caring. The area around the hotel is quiet and feels very safe. Metro 12 was close and gave us all the access we needed to go...

Just back from 4 nights staying at Hotel Joyce and what a find this was. Would highly recommend NOT staying anywhere else. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Loved our spacious quirky room. Tasty breakfast and the all day snacks were a real treat. The hotel is surrounded by a great range of bars & restaurants and all within a...

Hotel Joyce is a great choice in a wonderful city. Located in my favourite part of city close to Montmartre with a wide range of great cafes, restaurants etc with a good local feel and walking distance to Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge (from one extreme to the other!). Prices also considerably cheaper than other areas of Paris. The hotel...

On arrival as it was our first time in Paris the staff provided us with maps of the metro and local restaurants and made us aware we could ask them to make us a reservation. The staff were always very pleasant and made an effort to greet us any time we passed. There are free drinks and snacks you can...

I stayed here as part of a business trip and tacked on an extra day to explore Paris. Astutely have done so well to turn this Parisian building in to a small friendly hotel. Only 6 floors and I think 6 rooms per floor and perhaps a couple of rooms on the ground floor where colleagues stayed. My room was...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Standing at an unconventional spot of the upper 9th district, the Joyce Hotel is ideally located at the crossroads of the theater district, Place St-Georges, and the "hot-spots" of the fashionable South-Pigalle neighborhood. Maliciously decorated by Philippe Maidenberg, with nods to inevitable Parisian monuments, our hotel will seduce you with its comfort and bold design. Luxury car furniture recycled as improvised seats, inverted Eiffel Tower, delicate tromple-l'oeil paintings around beds, breakfast with bio breads and cereals under a very Eiffel-like glass roof: Everything is ready to usher you into a fun and surprising world. Our 44 rooms are full of thoughtful and delicate touches that add to the cosiness of the place. All rooms feature a quiet atmosphere, strengthened in some cases with a terrace or an enchanting view over the rooftops. Our team, available 24/24, will welcome you into a chic and relaxing atmosphere, while advising you on the top attractions of a perfect stay Find design rooms filled with art works and indulge in a burst of merriment and fresh air in the capital ... ... more   less
