Great location. We were able to walk to explore from Montmartre to Le Marais. The room was spacious and having a balcony to sit with an espresso and look over the Paris rooftops was a great bonus. On the 6th floor, the room was quiet but still had the enjoyable hum of the city below. Staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English and were all very helpful.

This is definitely not a 4* hotel. However, lets start with the positives! The hotel is a great location. An easy walk from Gard du Nord and also into the center of Pairs and all the sites. Check in and Check out was easy. And the staff were ok. Right on the the negatives. The hotel is very old, dark and dated. Most times went we came out of the lift on the very narrow landing was the cleaning trolley making it hard to pass. There was a small wooden step then tripped over many times when leaving the room. Could be dangerous so near to a very steep spiral staircase! The room was ok. However there is no plug socket anywhere near a mirror. So it made it impossible to dry your hair. I asked at reception and was told there was a plug in the bathroom, there is not. When we checked out the receptionist was very polite and told us sorry there was not plug and it clearly was a design fault! I can’t believe no one has ever raised this before. Many people have reviewed the breakfast as ‘great’ I am very surprised it was below average. The coffee and juice are from machines, minimal cook food choice, poor selection of bread. Would not stay again and would not recommend to others. Luckily we did not let this ruin a fab weekend in Paris.

The classic room was bigger than we expected and the hammam was nice. The windows could open, which was a plus. We really like the excellent service. But the metro station is NOT Stalingrad but Metro Strasbourg Saint Denis. Tripadvisor should correct this. The location is good right in the middle of the centre. Just a short metro ride away from Gare du Nord (10 minutes).

I stayed in this hotel and I really liked it. The place is very good and you can reach anyplace in Paris very fast and easily by foot or metro. We had a small but cozy room on the 6th floor. It was tiny but very nice and clean! The staff was kind and breakfast very good. I recommend it

If you like hotels with character and charm in the heart of the city then this is the perfect place. We stayed on the 6th floor in a beautiful room with a balcony and fabulous views across the Paris skyline. Ideally situated close to two metro stations and within easy walking distance to all the amazing Paris this really was the ideal base for our 3 night stay. We are in two local restaurants which we highly recommend Julien and Sur Mer both packed with locals and serving delicious food.

Point of View = 30's American Tourist We came to Paris as part of our second leg of our vacation and stayed at this property for 5 nights / 6 days. Here is a quick summary: Pros': 1.) Good Air Conditioning At first, we didn't think the air conditioning worked as you can barely hear it and it didn't turn cold for a while. We realized afterwards that it did work but it takes a long time to cool down. However, if you keep it running at the desired temperature, it will hold it. No issues after we understood how it worked. 2.) Good Travel Location Lots of bus stops around and the Strasbourg St. Denis Metro is a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel with a lot of useful metro lines to get to multiple tourist destinations. Really useful. 3.) Friendly Staff Staff were pretty excellent and was helpful in most situations. No issues here. Con's 1.) Room is super small This is again for American standards. Just keep in mind you will not be able to have your luggage open at all. We had to constantly open our luggage's, unpack what we needed, and reclose them up so we had space in our hotel room. I think this is normal for living in the heart of Paris but took a lot to get use to. 2.) Bathroom Although remodeled, I think it was bit dirty as you'll see mold around the edges where the water comes out and some broken tiles. The service everyday tried their best to clean it up and it was relatively clean but keep this in mind. 3.) Stairs There is an elevator in the hotel but its small and a bit slow so we opted to take the stairs. The stairs are small/windy and are NOT lit up at all during the night time so be careful when going up and down the stairs. They really should install some battery-powered lights around the stairs so its more visible and more safe. 4.) No sound proofing You can easily hear the people in their rooms. You will get use to it after a while but just a forewarning. 5.) Lady of the Streets outside the hotel If you research the Strasbourg St. Denis area, there is a history of Asian lady's of the streets in this area. We see them frequently when we walk out of our hotel. If you don't like this or don't want your children to be exposed to them constantly, you might want to reconsider this specific area. 6.) Breakfast I would not recommend the breakfast for 20 EUR per person. The food was sparse and unappetizing and you can easily go to a Boulangerie that are so close to the hotel and have a meal for 2 for 13 - 16 EUR. NOTE: For Paris hotels, there is a Tourist Tax for each person / each night that is not included when you book the hotel. You need to factor this into your budget as well. At the time of writing, since Hotel Les Theaters is a 4-star hotel, the charge per person/per night is 2.88 EUR. Overall, I don't think this was a bad hotel and it had its charm. However, please note the pro's and con's and make the decision yourself.

Second time staying at this hotel and it was just as good if not nicer than the first time. Check in was smooth and the room was lovely, we booked a classique and got upgraded to a superior room which was lovely and looked out on the street. All the staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is really central to a lot of the attractions Notre Dame, The Louvre, the Seine & a view of the Eiffel Tower. Loads of great restaurants and bars nearby and close to a metro station. Highly recommend & plan to stay again.
