I called this hotel at 9:30pm (Paris local time) on January 20, 2016. I spoke to a very rude front desk man who proceeded to insult me when I asked him for the director of sales name/email and if he could spell it. I explained I was calling from NYC and do not know how to spell the person's name.... More

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, I would like to thank you for sharing your thoughts about our Hotel where you have never stayed at. I deeply regret to read such a comment about our Front Desk Department. I think there has been a huge misunderstanding with you and the receptionist during your phone call. Our Hotel was fully booked on the... More

Visited Paris in April 2015. we were 2 couples. Had booked this because of its proximity to Champs Elysee and the station. It was close to many restaurants. the hotel itself is small but very nicely done. the rooms are comfortable even though a bit small. the whole place is done quite tastefully. the front desk staff is very helpful... We first stayed at The Hotel Mathis in 2012 and loved it so much we stayed again this year. We weren't disappointed. Again we enjoyed the staff, rooms and facilities and so close to the Champs Elyse. We have recommended this to many friends and colleges who have all enjoyed their Mathis experience. A unique boutique hotel in the middle... More

The warm atmosphere and friendly attentive staff give this little hotel a different feel compared to big hotel chains. My room was quite small, but clean and incredibly quiet for central Paris considering it is just one block from the RondPoint des Champs Elysées. Good location to visit monuments or stroll down the Champs-Elysées or shop in the luxurious boutiques... More

Overall I was very pleased with this hotel. I booked late and got a great deal on a hotel booking website (just over £100 for one night with breakfast). Given the location this was really good. The hotel is quirky but clean and comfortable. Service was great and the breakfast was good. One complaint - my room was like an... More

This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel. This experience proved that the first one wasn't a fluke. It's a small boutique hotel 3 minutes from Champs Elysees on the end nearer to the Grand Palais. The #1 line metro is just as close, you can walk to Place de la Madeleine in about 15 minutes to go... Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
