Lovely hotel with attentive staff, amazing house keeping and very comfortable rooms. We had a balcony overlooking the main road which was loud but very enjoyable nonetheless. The housekeeping was brilliant, fresh bedding and clean floors every day. The bedding was to die for, no pillow will compare now! The location is so easy for walking access to notre dame and 1 minute from a metro. Would stay here again in a heart beat! The only thing to be aware of which I haven’t seen mentioned before is that they require a 100 euro charge deposit per night in case of any damages. Got this promptly back at check out but would have been good to know in advance!

Hotel's Favorite
Just returned from a lovey stay at this hotel. Staffed with utterly elegant and friendly efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The lounge bar featured a retractable glass roof to make it into a courtyard. Windows in the breakfast/lunch space opened to the street. Breakfast was paid in the rate a good selection of cereals, fruit, pastries and scrambled eggs and bacon. Two types of juice and whatever hot drink you wished. The a la carte menu for such things a boiled eggs meant an extra charge. A little irritating since we had paid breakfast rate, but not unbearable. Bedroom (signature) faced into this courtyard which meant it was quiet, and comfortable. All the usual, minibar, hairdryer, safe, robes and slippers. Very tastefully done. Bathroom again very tastefully decorated but the bath tub edge was quite high and there was not a bath mat for the over-tub shower. Not a problem per se, but we were travelling with an older lady who if she had been in this room I would have felt this a little unsafe. And one complaint...at the price we paid, I really do not like having the hand wash and lotion, shower gel and shampoo, locked to the wall. At Euro 400 per night, this was not cool. All said and done. I would happily stay here again.

All I can say is don’t book and expect you can stay. I booked months in advance and paid but when I turned up after 24hrs of travel at 11pm at night they informed there was a problem with my room and they were full. They advised I had to go to their sister hotel and pay for a taxi myself and ask for it to be reimbursed or walk there. Absolutely no apology or follow up - or even calling or emailing prior to my arrival to let me know. Nope they just expected me to come to the hotel with no notice and then move. Even worse was when I got to the new hotel they did not have rooms with balconies which I specifically booked and were extremely rude and would only give a 10% discount and 2 free cocktails. They kept insisting I had been upgraded but again I booked a room with a large balcony and most importantly was not staying in the hotel I chose, booked and paid for. Honestly a terrible hotel group with very poor customer service. Do not stay.

We had two adjoining rooms and absolutely zero space to unpack unless it could hang. No dressers, no drawers anywhere, nowhere to store suitcases or shopping purchases. Why was a single lounger chair more important in each room than actual storage?! Housekeeping also kept skipping one of the two rooms. Were they confused? The restaurant was meh; not enough variety. Good hotel location though.

Beautiful entrance, a lot of plants and nice lighting, perfect location with general parking in front of the hotel. Rooms are expensive for what you get, small, shower in the bathtub, shower was loose and paint is coming of, airconditioning makes to much noise at night, booking went wrong, I called Arts et Metiers and the phonecall was diverted to hotel Bachaumont (same group), took a while to correct it, cleaning went wrong, didn’t clean the room at all until 19:00h, after asking twice.., full payment by checking in including 200,00 euro deposit feels unfriendly and suspicious, checking out, short, no interest, no sorry, at all, deposit money back in 3 to15 days the receptionist told me. Unfortunately, this could be a lot better with some extra attention.

My wife and I have just enjoyed a couple of days in Paris celebrating our wedding anniversary and stayed at the Hotel National des Arts et Métiers. We had a room with balcony - it was fairly small, but we'd expect that in Paris. The balcony was also small (room for just one chair) but had a lovely view across the square to the church beyond. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large, with a large shower. The rooftop bar is amazing, with views across the whole of Paris - definitely our favourite feature and worth visiting even if not staying at the hotel. The ground floor lobby and restaurant are also nice. We loved that the glazed roof was able to fully open, transforming this into an external courtyard space. We had to work on our second day and this was a great space to work in (wi-fi was very reliable). We ate dinner in the restaurant, which we also enjoyed (although they could have been a bit more generous with the bread!) Overall, a lovely stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We really loved the hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Perfect French hotel in the Marais neighborhood. The restaurant downstairs is great and the rooftop bar is very cool. We had a room with a balcony that looked over the church. It was wonderful. Room was quite large by Paris standards.
