A confidential address, designed as an elegant private mansion, in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés, few step away from the Luxembourg Garden. Villa Madame owes its special atmosphere to the sure taste and creativity of interior designer Michel Jouannet. He is particularly attentive to identity and atmosphere. Villa Madame radiates the essence of Parisian elegance.

Detailed Reviews
I researched extensively to find a hotel for my trip to Paris. I was specifically looking in Saint Germain, for a hotel room with two beds, a standup shower, and adequate air conditioning. Villa Madame checked all the boxes and more. From the moment we walked in the concierge was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The room was amazing. It was surprisingly large with a full sitting area, an entryway, two twin beds, a clean modern bathroom, and two full size windows, which let in ample light and opened for fresh air. The beds, pillows, and bedding were one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The hotel breakfast was a typical French breakfast and delightful. The waiter greeted us with a smile each morning as we enjoyed our meal, he was so friendly and genuine. The entire staff was courteous and kind. The location is central to everything within walkable distance to many attractions, plus within a few blocks of two metro lines, which connected us with the rest of the city. The aesthetic of the hotel is so beautiful with a sitting area and a courtyard in the back. I highly recommend Villa Madame, my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We will be back!

The location of the hotel caused concern before we went, but when we got there, we saw that it is in a very safe place.
St German is one of the safest places in Paris as a district
It is very close to many nice and famous cafes and restaurants,
The area is peaceful, away from traffic
Paris hotels have quite small rooms, La villa madam also has relatively small rooms, but they are quite adequate for short term holidays and the hotel is very clean
But there is a serious lack of cabinets and drawers in the rooms, the bathrooms are clean but old, renovation is required.
The employees are professional and helpful,
It will be a great choice for those who expect a boutique hotel in Paris.

I stay in Paris about three times a year for work and I have to say that I was surprised at the state of this hotel. While I am sure at one point it was new and nicely presented, it now looks very tired. Dead flowers in the window box, missing hotel door numbers, dead or missing plants in the hallways, a broken clock in the bathroom, and a considerable amount of mold in the bathroom (I am more than happy to share photos). While one staff member was friendly, most were indifferent or too busy on their phones. I am unclear why the plastic key card needs to be turned in when leaving the hotel, this is a typical custom when the keys are metal but the only thing I can think of is that it turns off the lights when you leave. If this is going to be your policy, someone should be at the front desk and accessible at all times. Overall, I was disappointed given the high ratings on hotels.com. Other hotels in Paris at this price point are far better kept up. While the location was decent, it is directly next to a school which is extremely loud on weekdays. For a five night stay, I think the staff could have been friendlier and minimally replaced our water bottle one time (they provided one water during our five day stay). This hotel should really clean up the mold problems and address the rundown state of their property or lower their prices. There are far better hotels in Paris at this price, including in the 6th.

+1
The location was good, a lot of places to dine and wine around. The room was just about a large bed but not much space to move, not enough place for luggage’s and there is no wardrobe.
But The worst thing was the cleaning! Because there is none! The first night we came in there were unfortunately hairs and body hairs in the bed and the next morning I told the receptionist that we couldn’t sleep because it was very unpleasant to sleep in a bed like that and requested a good cleaning for the next days during our stay but I noticed that they are not cleaning anything they just made the bed but never changed the sheets because the stains were always there… I do not recommend the place just because of that. There is also a school next to so if you want to sleep in the morning this would wake you up we didn’t have much problem because we woke up early. The fridge was not working and the light of the make up mirror in the bathroom was not working either. The bath has no curtains or anything that prevents the water coming out from the shower, this is also disturbing

I ended up at Village Madame by chance, or should I say fāt. The lovely Villa Madame is a charming location and my first official introduction to Paris! I won't go into detail about what makes this place so special, but I will say that you will want for nothing.
First and foremost, the decor, which is steeped in history! Behind the vintage photographs of lovely women adorned with tender devotion, we are reminded that while times change, wonderful people do not. Brimming with amenities, cleanliness, an awesome library and wonderful service. I was delighted that VM was an experience in itself.
Stayed 5 days, I got warmth and excellent service! A quiet, slightly melancholic room where you must force yourself to leave or else you'll spend it rapt in your dream room.
Not particularly luxurious (which is a good thing IMHO), yet brimming with charm, and allure. Villa Madame is a place where luxury and money isn't worth much here. I will return to Villa Madame precisely because of its spirit of simple, classic, authentic elegance. Hoping to return soon!!
I’ll say it again, If you're a practical person who knows what they like and knows a good thing when they see it, this might be the place for you! However, if you expect to be waited on hand and foot on a silver platter, with a forced smile, keep looking.
Truly,
Marbella

A pleasant hotel, in a good, quiet neighbourhood. Yes there is a school next door, but the noise from it didn't bother us as we stayed on a weekend. We were warmly greeted at Reception to check-in. The hotel is a good size and has only 16 rooms, the reception area and breakfast/lounge area were well maintained and clean. The bedroom number 34 was spacious and overlooked a quiet road. The heating and air-con facility was very good. It is a pity the room did not have a kettle to make a tea or coffee, especially as the room Information Guide stated tea and coffee is complementary. I did question this and was told I was in a "cheap" room so no kettle. It wouldn't have cost a lot to buy a kettle surely, it would have been nice to make a cup of tea after a long day's walking and sight seeing. Also unfortunately I experienced a problem with a bath mat I had used to stand on and mop up from the shower, had been placed back on the shelf with clean towels! I did report it to reception to make them aware, and they were very apologetic. Hence the reason I couldn't rate it higher than I would have liked to. Apart from this, our stay was very pleasant.

The unfussy and unpretentious comfort of the Hotel Villa Madame keeps me coming back. This is my third stay and I have another booked in. The rooms are comfortably and cleverly appointed to make the most of limited space and the staff are amongst the most helpful I have encountered in 40 years of visiting Paris. It is, every time, just what I need when I get to Paris.

Hotel Villa Madame is in a great location in Saint-Germain-des-Prés with Luxembourg Gardens, shopping, restaurants and cafes at your doorstep. The staff were all so friendly and helpful especially Nelson the concierge who always opened our bottles of wine and brought us glasses and snacks when we (group of 5) wanted to have a pre drink in the hotel lounge before heading out to dinner. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

It was ‘okay’. I found the staff either extremely accommodating or stuffy. The accommodating people were above and beyond - great with directions and one gentleman even let me charge my phone.
There were some stains on the bed runner but overall the room was clean and adequate. Wide selection of channels. Our room faced the street, so there was some noise but nothing too disturbing. Keep in mind there is a school right next door.
Great location! There’s an amazing bakery at the end of the block that we went to almost daily. And you’re right by the gardens which is a huge plus.

LADUNAWAY asked a question Oct 2018
Washington DC, District of Columbia45 contributions10 helpful votesDoes the hotel have a working fireplace in December?
Dear Ladunaway
The Villa Madame has a working fireplace during winter, with cosy sofa ;-) to relax and have a drink !
I don't know for sure, but I suspect that smoking in the courtyard would be allowed. Not inside. They're very friendly, though, so I'd suggest giving them a quick call!
Hi !
Yes, indeed, Villa Madame was The Regent Hotel ! The actual owner renovated the hotel 10 years ago and re-named it Villa Madame. The homey atmosphere of the regent hotel remains, and some of the staff members is still working here, such as Maria who serves the breakfasts :-))
Dear Grch,
Yes, we provide free wifi both in the whole hotel & in the rooms.
Best regards,
Elsa
You can find many restaurants at walking distance. And in any price range you want basically. Ask the porter of the hotel or have a look at tripadvisor restaurants when you are there. I had no problem whatsoever tot eat wonderful at very reasonable prices
