This is an apartment hotels with only few rooms. Each room has a fully equipped kitchen, with all you need to prepare meals. The hotel is very quite and private, and feels like you are not in the city while in room. Each morning a basket with big breakfast will wait by the door, fresh and in good quality. The...

I kept meaning to write a review from our stay in October 2015, My boyfriend surprised me with a trip here for my 21st birthday and I cannot praise this place enough!! The service was exceptional from the owners and the amenities were absolutely spot on! Such a central location and extreme value for money!! We couldn't stop spreading the...

My husband and I just left after our second stay at Maison Zen. It is so lovely and peaceful. We found it easy to get anywhere we wanted by walking or the Metro. Our hosts were very kind and helpful. We love the tasteful decor and the beautiful courtyard. I would recommend it to anyone. J'aime Paris!

This was my fourth visit to Maison Zen/My Open Paris. Each time it gets better. For example, breakfast is now offered, including a selection of delicious foods to start the day. The things that don't change about staying here is the quiet and calm in the rooms and areas outside. The entire building is clean, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We...

My mother and I spent four nights here at this charming and peaceful gem. Perfectly tucked away and very safe, we were very comfortable here. We were welcomed by the owners and were giving much attention with the basics - how to use the TV, coffee machine etc. We were pleasantly surprised with a washing machine in the unit! The...

We loved staying here. Hand made Happy Anniversary card on the bed. The rooms were so clean, lovely décor and we found it quiet. The courtyard is really nice and we also appreciated the security. The breakfast supplies were incredible and I liked the little note book so you give feedback on what you like/don't like. The Clarins toiletries were...

We've stayed here on four separate occasions, and each time reminds us why we keep coming back. It seems to be run by a young couple now, who are fairly prompt in responding to emails. We love our private room with kitchenette - we shop at the Carrefour next door for breakfast ingredients and cook them up each morning, saving...

Maison Zen was great for our group stay. We all had our own private rooms, but were also close enough to share the Paris experience. The best thing apart from the very well-prepared rooms, where every need had been considered, were the breakfasts. Prepared beautifully and delivered in a basket to our door with fresh baguette and croissants. The yoghurt...

Wow, everything about this place was wonderful. It was serene without feeling sterile, clean, cute, cozy, and a lovely home away from home. It's really quiet and that is unusual in paris. Th breakfast basket is divine!

This review is for My Open Paris, I can't seem to find their listing on Tripadvisor. The two hotels are in the same building, one floor was sold to Eanju, but the entire building is managed by her. The Good The location is great, it's close to Gare de Lyon which makes traveling to the airport easy. There's lots of...

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
