OK a 4 star review does not mean 4 star hotel. I stayed here as had passport issue and had to extend trip on tight budget and this meant I had to stay in v budget hotel. I opted for hotel on cost with shared bathroom and shower on another floor. Firstly I was on 3rd floor with only stairs to get there but as active person this was fine. I found all the staff to be pleasant and was given a adequate but clean little room. 2 nights at this hotel and room cleaned every day with clean towel. Not ideal to go to another floor for shower but was clean each time I used. I also asked for hot cup tea one night and this was obliged with no cost. Area had lots of bakeries and everything you need including tram across road. Don't grumble on social media if you pay little and expect the ritz but generally in a desparate situation this hotel served me well. Did not have breakfast but lots places near.

My friends and I stayed here for 1 night. When we walked into the room we were immediately hit by a foul smell. It actually smelled like mold. We ignored it because we didn’t plan to spend much time in the room just to sleep. Went into the bathroom and the shower curtain was disgusting. Ignored that...we just decided not to take a shower only use the sink (we had a private bathroom which was a plus considering other reviews state they had to use a shared bathroom). Final straw: after a long but fun day we decide to take a rest and what do we see-bed bugs! It was 3 in the morning and we were done. We went to the reception area and informed the desk clerk of the bed bugs. Even asked him if he wanted to come upstairs and look-he refused stating he believed us in the most nonchalant voice. Obviously this has happened before because he was not alarmed by our findings. He said he had no other rooms so we checked out. Luckily I told my friend to take a pic which helped us in getting a refund(which was great considering it was non-refundable). Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The price is amazing but you truly get what you pay.

Very bad and scam hotel. On booking and trip advisor they show nice photos with large beds, but our room had nothing to do with that. It wasn't even listed. The bed was tiny, the bathroom dirty and tiny, the floor dirty, I don't know since when they had to change the curtains. The personnel at the reception was bored, and had attitude, would not help us. They had one hair dryer for all their customers ! This is a joke. Booking didn't publish our comment that was the only truthful and kept only the fake nice comments of the hotel that say it is clean. On top of that, they didn't help us and they didn't negotiate anything. They proposed to change our room on condition that we go back before noon, so that they empty the room. How thoughtful, to leave the Eiffel tower we just paid, and waste half a day for their negligence, because their manager arrived after 11.00 in the morning ! how professional to not have a management person at their reception 24 h. Just don't trust this place, waste of time and money. Very noise, I could hear the next room to us with their children, we could hear the slightest noise in the corridor, people arriving and banging their doors. Ah, and no elevator, which they forgot to mention to us. We arrived at night and had to carry the luggage to the second floor. Choose it if you like to not sleep after a tiring day in Paris !

Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff. There is no lift only a small narrow staircase so if you've got a big suitcase, bear that in mind. It's comfortable, clean and the bed was very comfy with wonderful pillows! On the downside, there was quite a bit of noise, people talking and opening/closing the door to the room next door, very late at night up and down the hallway. The shared bathroom is small and hard to move around in. But at the end of the day this is a budget hotel and I felt I got value for the money I paid. So I probably would stay here again but time over I'd get a room with an en suite.

Reading some of the previous reviews I was a little uncertain of what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. FIRSTLY please remember that this a "bargain" hotel so you should expect the facilities to be basic - this they certainly are but I found the room and public areas to be clean and the staff very polite and helpful. The area is very convenient for all the main tourist areas and the nearest Metro station (Brochant) is less than a 2 minutes walk away. There are a good selection of cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets within a few hundred metres and 2 large supermarkets within a couple of minutes walking distance. Cash dispensers and Post office all within 100 metres. The small side street the hotel is located on is quiet and although I had a room at the front the noise was not a problem. The wifi in the room worked fine and was pretty fast. Breakfast is an option I did not take so cannot comment but there are plenty of local places you can buy a coffee and croissant to start the day (this is Paris after all !). On the down side there is no lift so if you are (like I was) on the 4th floor be prepared for a long slog up 76 (I counted them) steep stairs. Also it was a long wait to get hot water in the morning - you have to let it run for a least 5 minutes but it does come through eventually and there is plenty of it if you are patient - this is a problem I have encountered in numerous French hotels irrespective of class. Overall this was a pleasant enough stay and, for the centre of Paris, good value for money.
