Extraordinary service was provided by Mr. Jeremie at the concierge and Ms. Aissa at the front desk. They went above and beyond what is expected to make the hotel stay an exceptional one. The location, and the pricing of the hotel are also excellent. However, it’s the service that truly set it apart.
In February I had a chance to stay at the InterContinental Champs Elysees for two nights and for me I was very pleased with my experience although I can understand how others might not have had such a good experience as I did which I'll try to explain why. First, as others have pointed out, the hotel itself is very small--basically a boutique style hotel with the InterContinental name--and that's fine! If you want a larger hotel then try the other InterContinental in Paris (the Le Grand) which is very pleasant. Also, as a Platinum Elite Ambassador I was able to check in several hours early--which I really, really appreciated given how exhausted I was from the long flight from the US. Because the rooms are notoriously small in this hotel--anyone doing any research on it can find out so if you end up being surprised it's your own fault--I had purposely selected a Junior Suite which ended up being still fairly small but adequate and included an interesting interior patio. The hotel has indeed been renovated within the past year or so and I thought the whole place looked lovely! The room itself was immaculately clean, had a lovely bed, decent towels, and lovely Diptyque-branded bathroom amenities. I didn't like how the toilet was almost smashed-up against the glass of the shower but...oh well. The hotel has a great location as almost as soon as you walk out the door and walk for 2 minutes you are right there at the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees. You can't really ask to be any closer! So all in all I had a very comfortable stay and by using my IHG Platinum Ambassador benefits (weekend certificate for second night free), early check-in, guaranteed late check-out, I ended up having a five star experience. Please remember though--you need to book at least a junior suite level room if you want to have any adequate amount of space. Service is limited (restaurant is more like a breakfast place although I think there is room service) so keep this in mind to manage your expectations and you'll be fine. Lastly, hotel employees were very pleasant and the doorman (of Middle Eastern descent, I wish I remembered his name!) was so extremely, extremely kind. He helped me when I accidentally dropped my coffee one morning when I was checking out and even insisted on getting me a new one even though I had gotten mine from the next door Pret a Manger cafe. He had been there throughout my stay and I will say that this gentleman was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Paris--the epitome of great service and hospitality. …
I am seeing wonderful photos of the rooms, but unless they have renovated in the last year, these are misrepresentations. My room was deplorable. Booked the hotel to be inside Le Tour de France route after staying at the Intercontinental Grand - Paris Opera. Was shocked at the tiny size of the room and the cheap furnishings. The location is great, but that is about it. Would have been impossible for two people to have stayed in that room.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Intercontinental Paris - Champs-Elysees Etoile and had a very enjoyable time. The hotel staff was great and made us feel welcomed. They greeted us by name and were very helpful with a high level of customer service. We got an upgraded room that was very nice, and the restaurant was really good. This Intercontinental hotel is located close to many attractions. You can see the Arc de Triomphe from the hotel entrance, shopping on Champs-Elysees is one street over, Seine River cruises are about a 15-minute walk and the Eiffel Tower is about a 25-minute walk. Also, several great restaurants in the area. We highly recommend staying at this hotel in Paris and we're already planning our return visit.
I really enjoy my stay at this intercontinental hotel in Paris with an amazing location. Excellent room amenities. Specially, the Concierge JEREMIE , professional, and warm welcome, always I feel from him. This property will be my home in Paris in the future.
I have seen mixed reviews for this property and was hesitant to book it frankly. Located right the heart of Paris, 2 mins walk from the Champs Elysees, 3 mins away from the Arc of Triomphe... Location is simply great. Small coffee shops / Boulangerie ( pastries, cakes...) but also a small supermarket are located just across the hotel. The hotel is indeed " small" and I think i heard the hotel staff saying that this was one of the smallest IC propeerty in the world. That is normal, as the hotel is located within historical building. Staff extremely nice, polite and helpfull. Room : my heart was beating when opening the door of my room ! We discovered a very nice, modern room, nice flooring, big large flat tv, very nice bathroom with nice branded amenities ( shampoo, soap...) , nice and very comfy king size bed. Quite a "big" for an Paris Hotel standard. ( old building ) Extremally good curtains that are efficiently blocking the light from outside ! Breakfast : small restaurant ( tailored to the sizxe of the hotel ) but with plenty and enoigh of choice and variety, Very nice people serving us in the morning. I am an IHG member and got all the perks possible that IHG member with my level could get. ( upgrade, free breakfast, late check out, early check-in, credit for mini-bar...etc..) So to make a long story short, my stay at IC Paris Champs Elysees made me forget about some of the mixed reviews I saw online. We will definitively stay at this property next time we are in Paris ! …
Stayed there for one night for birthday celebration, did make the remarks before arrival and yet no one says a simple happy birthday. Not to mentioned as loyalty platinum members and didn’t get upgrade for just one night when your website is wide open, first time I didn’t get any upgrade on my birthday in the group to be honest. Anyway, the room I got had high ceiling so it doesn’t feel too bad but if you have more than one big suitcase i don’t think the room is big enough. The television didn’t work and turned off itself, didn’t bother to ask to fix it. Concierge is nice and helpful before my arrival, the gentleman handled my luggage was friendly. I would say it’s alright but service is not really personal. Many other choices in paris with this budget of a hotel room.
Great hospitality and a wonderful smile to greet you whenever you enter. That is what we think of after staying at this lovely boutique property for 3 nights. We stayed as a family of three and our toddler loved it (as did we). It is in the perfect location, close by to the Champs-Elysées and several Metro stations (and a stones throw from the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower). The rooms are well appointed with Dyson (a great touch) hairdryers, large TVs and other lux mod cons. The bed was super comfy and we had a lovely window that opened up onto the Avenue Marceau. It is small and compact, so if you are seeking a large hotel with various amenities and dining options this is not for you. If you like, friendly, wonderful, helpful and kind hospitality professionals trained to the highest degree - this is the one for you. Instead of being stuck in the gym, we went for runs around the stunning (safe) streets around the hotel, which we enjoyed far more than a static treadmill. The staff can help provide running directions. The restaurant/bar is equally boutique but the staff are always present with big smiles and ready to prepare whatever you need. Food was always prepared fresh and was very tasty (as attested by our 3 year old!). In terms of variety of dining, there is an abundance on the doorstep of the property and the staff are ever so helpful to provide suggestions. Compliments to Akram and Helena who were forever smiling and made our stay in Paris so memorable (the rest of the staff were also amazing but we didn't manage to catch everyones names). We came to Paris for our toddler's school holidays, we have left with so many beautiful memories and the InterContinental Champs - Elysées Etoile would be our first choice when we next return. Highly recommended.…
Early check in and 4pm late check out as an ambassador. Breakfast was fresh and very well planned. Not a large hotel, typical size for this street so the rooms are not big either. The upside to a small hotel is that they can monitor guests and know everybody by face and name Ihg delivers in exceptional service and attention. They had our bags ready when we rushed to the train station and answered every email and telephone call. Our bag holds were always secure and ready for pick at a moments notice. The hotel staff is warm and all spoke in English. I conducted business here like I was home and no request of mine was too big. They did not make me feel awkward like a foreigner in Europe would feel at times. I would stay here over and over again. 3-4 minute walk to the arc. The hotel is secure and I had no theft issues considering its a very touristy part of town. There's a tiny grocery store across the street for convenience and a pharmacy down the street. Hope this helps! …
Filthy and would not recommend this hotel to no one, as the concierge manager and staff are very unprofessional and lied. we had booked through qantas an executive suit with balcony for 3 and were told that this room would not be available for another 4 days and was given a filthy single bed room small room we were so upset that we refused to stay there and cancelled our stay at this hotel demanded our money back. we still have not received our refund. horrible experience, and if it wasnt for the help and comfort we received at JK place Paris we vowed never to return to Paris.
