We booked the whole B&B as we were a large extended family traveling (8 to 75 years old), Our young kids really enjoyed their room, they had the bath. Ilhame was excellent to deal with, responding quickly to emails, and gave a lot of advice to help with our travels. All the rooms were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The... More

Looked great here on Tripadvisor, but was even better IRL. Quite easy to find, thank's to god map from host, and very close to Metrostation. A genuine neighbourhood with cosy restaurants and small grocerystores. Very clean and tidy rooms, nicely decorated, with comfy beds. The hosts are generous and helpful, and living is easy here. Best value for money and... More

It is a great place! Close to metro and access to a lot of nice tourist sites. The hotel is charming, Ilham the lady that run the B&B was so kind and thoughtful and puts on a beautiful parisian breakfast spread. The rooms are lovely and cute- I would stay upstairs if you do not want to climb the stairs.... More

Surprisingly, once you find the location, it is in no way visible that you've arrived, and there isn't even a doorbell. In the end I had to call the number on my booking.com registration, and that number went straight to voice mail. This was quite disconcerting after the long trip through Paris, and I genuinely feared I might have been... More

Great location (Montmartre is close to city centre but far enough away), quiet street and close to main Metro lines. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed but a bit small (but that is Europe). Ilhame is a great hostess, very hospitable and is very helpful with any of your inquiries about Paris. Very nice continental breakfast each morning with... More

I didn't expect this place would be like that...it's so charming, relaxing and zen . Love the hospitality, the decoration, great beds an good breakfast. Location is very nice whether you want to walk around through the day or have a drink or go out at night. I highly advise this place.

The host is exceptionally helpful and accommodating. We had to make a few adjustments on our trip and the host was more than happy to help. We can't thank the host enough and greatly appreciate the hospitality.

We stayed 5 nights at Au Sourire de Montmartre and what was lacking in space was made up by the convenient location, and the hospitality of the host and hostess; they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The housekeeper kept our room fresh and was always tidied up when we returned. The morning breakfasts were outstanding. I would... More

We spent 3 nights here on the first floor. The room was clean and charmy with a very autentic design. Not very big room, but it was just enough for two person with a tiny bathroom. Probably the other rooms upstairs were bigger. We had a little kitchen with basic equipment; so we could have a coffee or tea with... More

We stayed here for a weekend earlier this month. It was easy to find with Ilhame's email directions. Our room was on the ground floor and was very quiet- it is tucked away behind the main road. The bed was comfortable and shower good. Wifi also good. It is a 5 minute walk to the metro and the same distance... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
