Hotel's Favorite
I’ve been to Paris many times, and I already know that you should not expect much for your money. Every time I visit, I take a gamble on a unique boutique hotel, and most of the time, I am disappointed. This was not the case at this hotel! Jobo has taken every effort to make sure that every detail possible has been addressed. From the charming lobby, to the very unique rooms, each with a different theme and Decor, you honestly feel like you have taken a step back in time. The amazing thing is they have accomplished this while also ensuring the beds, the bathroom, the carpet, etc are new, and in working condition. In fact, they have made sure that all the facilities at every corner of the hotel are immaculate and in good condition! This is probably the single issue that makes me end up not liking most hotels. I have a very well-kept home, and it’s the worst thing to travel and to have to stay in a facility that feels less nice than where you live. After all, the whole point is that I’m going on vacation, and I’m trying to go to a happier place. I am so impressed that jobo has accomplished this! I will note that this is the best possible location if you are looking for a non-touristy but trendy Paris. You have all the shopping, cheese shops, restaurants you could ever want, and it is right near a metro stop. I will just end by saying that the hotel staff have been enormously gracious and friendly. I think I have found my permanent hotel for when I come to Paris!

Dear Dragonlady15, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share this incredibly detailed review with the TripAdvisor community. The entire JoBo team is truly touched by your words, all the more so that you have a very high level of expertise in the field of hospitality. We are truly delighted to read that you decided to take the gamble once again, and bet on our charming hotel. As you perfectly mentioned, we are committed to making our guests' stay absolutely memorable, and we take every single effort to do so. We do believe that a home away from home should be a little haven of peace, where everything is perfect and where time seems suspended. Twisting the Directoire style in a hommage to Joséphine Bonaparte, our interior designer Bambi Sloan created a unique atmosphere transporting you in an enchanted world. As French poet Baudelaire would put it, here 'all is order and beauty, luxury, peace and pleasure.' On top of this, our hotel has indeed an ideal location, right at the heart of the trendy neighborhood of Le Marais and away from the crowds. The surroundings are filled with designer stores, as well as charming cafes and restaurants.  Once again, and from the bottom of our hearts, MERCI. We are deeply proud to be your 'happier place' away from home and are looking forward to welcoming you again very soon. Wonderfully yours, - - - Charlotte / Guest Relation Manager

Hotel de JoBo is my all time favorite hotel. It is cosy which makes me feel at home, incredible stylish which makes me feel like a true Parisien and the location couldn’t been better. I even transformed my own bedroom inspired by JoBo’s leopard room? Stayed here two times and I cannot wait to go back! JoBo is the only hotel I want to stay at while I’m in Paris.

Traveling during the Covid-19 shutdown on Sunday 03/15/20 was a bit challenging as the country went into shutdown. After a total of 2 busses, a car ride from a wonderful Frenchman, 2 trains, 2 metros, we arrived in Paris 8 hours later (typically 3 hours from St. Michel to Paris) We arrived at THE best hotel in Paris! Hotel JoBo, named for Josephine Bonaparte. After learning of our crazy day of travel, the very kind hotel manager upgraded us to a suite and then complimentary champagne. The hotel was stunning, the hotel staff were so very kind, over and beyond with their customer care. In uncertain times, with the country shut down, the hotel staff could easily have done the bare minimum, but instead they went over and beyond for us. We were vey sad our stay was cut short from 3 nights to only 1 night as we had to fly home. We will definitely return to Paris and stay at Hotel JoBo.

The Hotel de Jobo and their staff are simply excellent. Personable, knowledgeable and kind, the staff provided for all our needs. There was no question or request that couldn't be answered. The beds were supremely comfortable, rooms quiet and elegantly decorated. I loved the amenities of bottled water (complimentary every day), tea & coffee. We enjoyed eating breakfast (excellent, broad selection) and enjoying a drink in the lovely bar. Perhaps the best part was the location - central to Paris, but not a touristy area. Excellent restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

Dear Toni,  What a pleasure to read such a wonderful review following your stay at the Hotel de JoBo! The entire team would like to thank you for your kind words.  We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and our incredible location in the very heart of Paris. Le Marais is one of the most lively and historical neighborhood of Paris, just steps away from the Place des Vosges, Notre Dame Cathedral or the Louvre Museum. As for your comment about the complimentary still and sparkling water provided in your room, we are glad that you have been sensitive to the little things we put in place to respect our environment. These glass bottles contain triple-filtered water, which we replace daily and free of charge. Our filtered water served in reusable glass bottles reduces plastic waste and transportation impact, lowering our carbon footprint. We can't wait to welcome you again very soon in your new Parisian home! Wonderfully yours, - - - Charlotte / Guest Relation Manager
