Hi! My name is Marie-Pierre and my daughter and I stayed five nights at the very charming Hotel de Londres last month. We enjoyed a comfortable large room, overlooking Fontainebleau’s castle. It had a nice size bathroom, which is somewhat important for 2 ladies. The management and the staff were very knowledgeable and kind and attended to our every need. We felt very “at home” at the Hotel de Londres and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family. We look forward to returning to Fontainebleau and the Hotel de Londres in the future.
Checked in late, room spacious and sparkling. Quiet with view to the courtyard. Comfortable bed, just what we wanted. Chocolate in the mini-bar a nice touch! Lovely breakfast, good social distancing in dining room. I complimented the owner on the excellent bread and five minutes later he showed up with some loaves for me to take home.!! Bread from Cassel, renowned Fontainebleau bakery. Very friendly owners who speak English. Near Insead and a stone's throw (literally!) from the Château. Interesting books in the sitting room where we sheltered during a heavy downpour before leaving and where the owner kindly served us complimentary coffees while we were waiting. A quiet and comfortable home from home. Highly recommend.
Certainly the best choice in Fontainebleau. Perfect location Excellent care and family run Super charming I did book directly with the owner - all super smooth - good value for money Super clean Nice rooms and amenities Breakfast ok Will return for sure
Since we were with an almost new car, I did not want to park in a public place. So before I booked I asked if a secure parking would be possible. We parked in one of the courts, with a tall gat that is locked at night. Safe enough. We had a room on the inner courtyard, its already in the photo's . The Hotel used to have a restaurant. But with "L'ecailler du Chateau" across the street, that was not really needed anymore. so now they have a fantastic lounge with fine furniture and books. The other room is the breakfast room. The owners are two brothers, but I think we only met one or they are twins. Monsieur Columbier has an almost British sence of humor. When we arrived there was a lady who showed us our room. When I met later with M. Columbier I said '..the owner of the new car.." , and he replied " .. I am the owner of the Hotel.." , really funny ! The room was excellently furnished with restored antiques and a quint cupboard acting as wardrobe/coffee bar/ safe. The bathroom was a bit small but fine. Imagine when the Hotel was build they still served warm water in jugs.. The breakfast is really good and the service is all smiles. We really enjoyed the Hotel. So much we would go again even if we now saw the Chateau twice ! Its just not really suited for smaller children given the classic furniture. But maybe there is a special "child proof room".…
Very helpful hosts who can also speak a bit of English. Nice and clean room with bathroom Great breakfast in large dinning room downstairs. Located Right opposite chateau across the street. Can view chateau from your window. in great location. 5 min walk to town centre.
