My wife and I stayed in room 10 on the second floor with a great view of the Chateau. The room was spacious and the furniture comfy. We arrived having driven from CDG Airport after a 24 hour journey. We would have slept anywhere, but the bed we were given was eminently fit for purpose. The morning breakfast was plentiful and varied, including meats, cheese, fruit, eggs and bread. The breakfast room itself was a delight, and I found myself looking at a portrait of a royal procession to the Chateau as I sipped my coffee and munched on my croissant. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The manager even came out onto the street to help us as we stood by the window, dazed and confused. We were very happy with this hotel and would certainly stay here again if we wished to visit the region. There is no lift, but I said to my wife that if we come again we should book for a month and tell ourselves we were losing weight. This would be a lie, as we went to an excellent bistro for lunch, just next to the Carousel at the entrance to the chateau gardens. Nevertheless, the lie would be beautiful.

Dear Andrew C and wife, thank you for your kind review, you know how to travel, despite the jet lag you were arriving with the smile, already knowing the culture of the place by the books and enjoying everithing under your eyes...it was nice to meet you !

I booked by telephone and the person to whom I spoke was one of two brothers who own this hotel. At the end of the discusion I offered to give my email to receive a confirmation but this person told me that there was no need as it was a family owned hotel for the last three hundred years. When my wife and I arrived, we were told that only one night had been booked and the hotel was full for the subsequent nights. The person at reception was the person who took my booking and he agreed that I did offer my email but he could not confirm whether it was for one or three nights. However the confusion could have been avoided if he had sent a confirmation email to me. We had to change hotels for the two remaining nights and it was not a good start to a 44 yearss wedding anniversary. When we left the next morning,it would have been good customer service to offer us a pot of coffee and two croissants, but it did not happen. I do not recommend this hotel. The Aigle Noir where we stayed for two nights was much better and so was the customer service. As fas as breakfast is concerned, at the Londres hotel it was 16 euro, so for a couple over three it would cost almost 100 euro. If you only want coffee and croissants, 100 metres away in the street opposite the hotel is a Paul coffeeshop/bakery and two large coffees, two croissants and a pain au chocolat would be ten euro. Pour mes amis francais, cet hotel nous avait garde qu'une nuit au lieu de trois. Nous avons du alors passer les deux autres nuits a L'aigle noir. bien meilleur et il y a un parking souterrain juste an face de l'hotel.

This is a delightful hotel situated directly opposite the Palace, so a wonderful view. The spacious rooms are very tastefully furnished with period-style furniture and decoration. The bathroom is vrry good. The reception area is attractive as is the lounge. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of cereals, fruits, yoighurts, and pastries. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and friendly. Note that there is not a lift and the stairs take some negotiating with luggage. The hotel is wonderfully situated close to all there is to see in this pretty town.

Stayed 1 night in November. Overall good stay in a charming town. Pros: Got upgraded to a room with view of the chateau de Fontainbleau Room design is nice, spacious room Very centrally located Cons: Low quality mattress Cheap bath products Check out time is not flexible, because of limited time of work of the housekeeping We decided not to have breakfast at the hotel, it looked limited. Had our breakfast at Paul bakery next door from the hotel.

This charming hotel is well situated for visiting the palace of Fountainebleau. My husband and I had a lovely three night stay and we were sad to leave. The proprietors of the hotel were incredible. They give impeccable service. I felt welcome and taken care of. I am very grateful that they are so dedicated to service because it reallly made our trip special. They suggested restaurants and made our reservations. They directed me to art suppliers so I could buy paint and watercolor paper. Their suggestion to visit Château Vaux le Vicomte made us change our plans. Which turned out to be a great decision. The Château was a jewel set in a gorgeous park like setting. It has a fascinating place in history. If you are at all familiar with Nicolas Fouquet and his sad history, make the effort to visit. In addition to helping us with travel plans, they parked our car and carried my bags. I am a frequent traveler and I have never felt so pampered. At breakfast they kept the cappuccinos coming and brought us fresh squeezed orange juice. The breakfast was lovely. The croissants were wonderful and if you are fond of good cheese, you will be pleased with the selection. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. I have nothing negative to say about Hotel du Londres. I hope to return some day.
