The hotel rooms we had were dirty rundown and very shabbily furnished. We felt that the communal areas inside the hotel are not kept to any kind of reasonable standard of cleanliness. The outside dining area particularly was very dirty. The food was not good and not worth the money . Other MW hotels we hear are of a much...

Poorly managed hotel, young staff good and do their best but food only luke warm, crockery and cutlery dirty, restaurant floors still covered in cigarette ends at breakfast. Older rooms very tired- no hairdryer, phone, kettles, safe, drying rack/airer ( given water sports kit needs to dry), poor wifi. No clean towels despite 3 requests until day 5 & only...

As some have said the hotel could do with tidying up in places but it is in a wonderful location, staff are excellent and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We did have a sea view room which was delightful, Actually thought the food was good, some seem to expect a five star experience, it's not but its not a...

We stayed here in September 2016. Great sailing and cycling although we didn't take advantage of the tennis. The hotel is nice but slightly tired, the staff very friendly and the food ok. Local wine was provided with the meals but the bar prices were high. Overall though we had a great time.

We stayed for a week early September and had a great time but loads of annoying niggles. As every review mentions, the hotel is tired and the staff need motivation. Mark Warner, you need to listen and act, or close San Lu and find a newer option. Food: The food was fine and kept us full for a week. Replenishing...

We had a week here towards the end of August 2016 with our 12 and 14 year olds. It was our first Mark Warner holiday. We normally rent a villa, but the kids are now, sadly, much happier spending time with people their own age than with us so we thought we would give this a try. It was a...

If you don't have kids, or don't enjoy cycling, watersports or tennis or you would like a luxury hotel - don't go. If you do and can live with a bit of shabbiness for a week - go for it! We found the childcare and activity staff were brilliant, especially Charlie in childcare and Adam in cycling. The flights were...

On the plus side the sports and particularly the cycling good. Grounds are nice and well maintained On the negatives the dining room is dirty and the food terrible. Some of the rooms are very poor. If it was a youth hostel you would be mildly disappointed as a paying guest it is a big disappointment. Top tip avoid eating...

Its really bad. Tired and run down hotel. Reminded me of a 1960's holiday camp, bit Hi-Di-Hi ish. Bad points - non existent customer service/care, rubbish wifi, repetitive food options (tarte and melon offered every lunchtime and dinner for pudding practically every day of our weeks stay)!, moody/stroppy staff, dismal lack of service at meal times with tables not being cleared,...
