My wife and I chose this place for our time in Troyes. The experience was good from start to finish. The whole mood of the place is great - it is an old building, lovingly restored over three years as detailed by information in the lobby. Our room was a little on the smaller side, but this is likely as... More

Dear Guest, We thank you to taking time to leave this nice words. The bulding from XV and XVI centuries is an old possession of the Templar. It was totally renovated during 3 years by "Les Compagnons du Devoir" who kept the original atmosphere of this age. The Chef welcome you with pleasure from Tuesday to Saturday only for the... More

We stayed for just one night in December. This Hotel is a self appointed 5 star hotel and I am afraid to say that it falls very short of a 5 star experience. Firstly having been shown to a 1st floor room accessed by an external staircase, i discovered the room to be very small and compact with cheap furniture... More

The hotel was chosen randomly but turned our to be amazing. A complimentary upgrade was given from a standard room to a suite, even without that nothing disappointed. The cleanliness, standard of decoration, friendliness & understated efficiency with excellent service never disappointed. Dinner & breakfast were simple superb.

Dear Guest, All the team of "Le champ des Oiseaux" want to thank you for your kindly comments. This was my third stay at the hotel, and I loved it just as much as ever. It is a lovingly restored timber framed building with a pretty shady courtyard. Our room, up an open staircase in the courtyard, was quite small but charming, with exposed beams and smelling of beeswax. Bathrooms are spotless and well equipped. Breakfast at €20... More

After a 6 hour drive from the Cote d'azur this was a blissful place to unwind. A lovely building and a gorgeous family suite - all luxuriously appointed. The "endless pool" (where you swim against a current) was an added bonus. We went out for dinner and breakfast so can't comment on either.

Located a few minutes from the centre of Troyes and almost on the doorstep of the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul this hotel's location was perfect. It was only a short walk from the train station too. From the outside it was obvious this historic half-timbered house had been meticulously refurbished. Inside the beauty and craftsmanship was even more obvious! The public areas... More

Like many of the other reviewers chanced across the Hotel on Trip Advisor while searching for a hotel while traveling south on holiday- the location in the centre of town without formal parking is not the easiest to find - but once inside the carefully furnished rooms , the timbered courtyards and the bijou pool area are all a delight....
