We arrived early morning at the hotel and even if our rooms weren't ready, we were offerered breakfast.Breakfast was a bit more than average for France. The hotel is near town center and just a few minutes from avenue Champagne. The rooms were tidy and normal size. Toilet & bathroom/sink are seperate in the room. The view from our window... More

I can't give this place a rave review. Our room was certainly adequate for the price -- 90E per night. But, no air-conditioning (despite being advertised as such in Michelin) meant we had to leave the windows open on a very busy street (even for Epernay). Keep this in mind if you are thinking of a summer visit. Service only... More

We had lunch here which was arranged by some winery friends. We were amazed at the wonderful dining experience which was a top 5 for me. The dining room was neatly furnished staff was pleasant in black tie uniforms. The quality taste and presentation of our food was outstanding I had a salad which included scallops topped with caviar, lamb... More

This hotel disproves the theory that a restaurant with rooms works - it definitely does not. Very poor standard of room - bath.plug ensures that no water remains once drawn, chipped soap dishes, most Spartan of fixtures/fittings and poorest quality possible. Having enjoyed a seriously good one star Michelin dinner, we retired to our first.floor 'attic.room' where we were kept... More

We stayed in Champagne to collect our regular supply from Champagne Testulat. We wanted somewhere where the rooms were adequate and the food good. We too booked the bistrot, having heard good reports from local friends. Contrary to our "welcome" in Gouvieux let alone the ease of finding the hotel, we were welcomed with charm into a pleasant lobby. Our... More

This was my first time staying here and I doubt I will stay here again. Whilst travelling through Champagne we decided to stay here and have dinner in the hotel Bistro for convenience. As you can see from my photo, the hotel looks nice from the outside, but the bedrooms were extremely dated, with scruffy bathrooms. The Bistro looked nice... More

No air con , no fans, do they care...no they don't. The restaurant was magnificent nothing was too much trouble for them. They even took back the meat dish and cooked all the blood out without a fuss and it came back succulent and tender and not dried out as some chefs do.so I don't understand their attitude towards their... This was not our first choice hotel as others were booked. Ideally located for Avenue de Champagne and restaurants/bars. Room desperately in need of a refurb as very dated and drab. Smells from the kitchen etc came up through the drains in the bathroom, the coffee smell was particularly strong! Room and bathroom both tiny and no air con. Breakfast... More

The rooms are tired and small The bed terrible Little or no service- and none after 10.30 ( no one there) Reception we found quite unfriendly when we had internet problems- indeed the receptionist was defensive and arrogant It hardly deserves the stars it carries But it is cheap We would mot stay here again

Good location pretty much in the centre of Eparney (not a big centre!) and easy walking distance to the Avenue de Champagne etc. Difficult to really fault this place the room was modern and spacious, the breakfast good and enough choice, service OK. Only niggle was the lack of air con, it was a hot weekend and the room got... More
