Secured parking The hotel is located at walking distance from the heart of Epernay. Charming building surrounded by a few not so nice modern constructions. The managing lady is a little cold but helpful, the elderly owner has high hospitality standards and is very gentle. Room spotless clean but in our opinion dated and overpriced. We chose it for the secured parking which was very useful having a car full of luggage. Very quiet.

Cost Euro 210 for one night. Breakfast (continental) Euro 36 for 2 people! no facilities in room. No English spoken. No lunch or dinner service. Not friendly. We were given a key and told our room name. No maps or info. We wandered streets in dark on first night to look for something to eat. PLEASE NOTE; the local tourist office removed this 'hotel' from its approved list- I was told by a staff member. This is not a hotel! not even a B&B. Its an old house with expensive rooms. We felt ripped off. We would not stay here again.

We stayed here a while back as Epernay was a stopping point on a France driving holiday. The house is beautifully furnished, ideally located and you definitely know you are in champagne town as there are reminders of the former proprietor Monsieur Chandon. Would recommend the Mercier champagne house tour, not the most famous champagne house or the most enticing exterior but Epernay is literally built upon it as it's cellars run under the whole town. Breakfast was also very good!

We stopped one night at the hotel. The owner lady was warm and charming in receiving us. The hotel was a former big house with a garden converted in hotel and conserved the walls and the beautiful gate of the property. The structure was of the former house. Rooms were confortable with large bathrooms. The breakfast very abundant with eggs preparerò at the moment. The atmosphere made us feel at home. Very nice!
