Hotel Colbert lives up to it's reviews. The owner, Olivier, has created a warm and welcoming hotel in a vibrant part of town. It is beautifully decorated and well maintained. He is incredibly charming, and mornings we were greeted by his two King Charles Cavaliers. We needed recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing, which he was quick to provide and were...

Olivier, the manager, made sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. The room was large (as was the shower!) and very comfortable. Space is a bit limited for putting clothes away, and the breakfast was plentiful but relatively simple. An excellent impression overall, ideal for couples (but business travelers will be absolutely fine too), excellent value for money. Would...

I stayed 2 nights at Hotel Colbert. The room was comfortable and clean. I stayed in the red room which was unique. A tour that I had scheduled canceled the day prior. The manager provided terrific suggestions for how I could fill my day in and around Tours. The manager could not have been nicer and went out of his...

Although this hotel is rated two stars, it is comparable and maybe even better than quite a few of the 4-star hotels I have stayed all over the world. Maybe this is because we were given one of the three most recently renovated rooms (room 11), which was in the back of the building; modern, very well designed, and quiet....

A quiet hotel in a pedestrian street full of restaurants and shops. The owner is helpful and always ready to help you to visit the city. Parking is free in several streets nearby. Rooms are well decorated. No lift and breakfast could be improved.

Super nice owners. Free parking along the river within a short walk was a plus. We had a room facing the street. The room was big, with a comfortable bed, however the noise from the pub across could be a problem for light sleepers, as others mentioned.

Excellent hotel right in the centre of Tours (Tours Cathedral at 5 minutes' walk), Nice and clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful owners. Payment parkings in the streets around the hotel. No A/C but air fan available. Very good value. Really recommended.

The Hotel Colbert on the eponymous street in Tours is just fine and although classified as just two stars, really shines much more than that. Then entry is neat and efficient; the owner cleans off the stairs and the cobble stones outside to keep it that way. Stairs - no elevator - wind up to the rooms. The room was...

Very roomy. Nice view down a very quaint street. The front desk person was very helpful. Noisy on the street until 4:00 am unless you shirt your window. Then it was quiet, but hot. Breakfast was very typical French!
