We stopped at the Mercure center in Tours a few times on our way to and from the south of France. The hotel is very conveniently located, just a few minutes from the motorway and walking distance from the center of town. Travelling with two small children (and a cat), we have always found their connecting rooms very convenient. The...

One night stop in this hotel as we travelled as a family through France. Perfect location close to train and tram station, just off main road so easy to find, off road parking, lovely helpful staff and clean hotel. We had a connecting room so the kids had the twin room section with separate bathroom and we had the double...

Staff excellent. English support great. Double glazing means street and train noise a minimum. Off street free parking. Towelling gowns provided with extra towels and slippers. Close to central station and centre of town. Well done!

This is the best hotel we've stayed at during our month in France. We were hesitant to stay here as the location is a little off-putting (near a train station and an unattractive street) but the wonderful reception we received by Emily and the manager, Julie, set the stage for a delightful stay. The room was large, clean, nicely appointed...

Good quite central location. Helpful friendly staff. Reasonable breakfast. Easy parking but essentially a fairly simple hotel nothing elaborate but good value. Very close to the station. Twenty minutes walk from the old town

The rooms have been fitted with triple glazed windows since our last visit many years ago (when the train noise was quite loud): the noise level is now very low. The room was comfortable and met all our requirements. The staff were particularly helpful when we were making a fresh booking for Mercure Poitiers and we would give them a...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while on a coach trip. The railway line ran behind the hotel but the sound of trains did not intrude at all. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot though I felt a trifle unsafe when climbing into the bath. Breakfast offered a good and plentiful variety of food...

We stayed here for one night on our way to Bordeaux. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room on the first floor was comfortable and well appointed. Within easy walking distance of the sights and restaurants etc. Will definitely stay again next time we pass through Tours and will use the Mercure brand elsewhere in France when...

Good hotel in very convenient location, Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Very safe car-park under the hotel, though you need instructions as to how to get into it! Larger rooms are on the first floor which is a pity as rooms on the higher floors are nicer. Prefer rooms facing the road rather than the station.
