I booked here for 2 nights for myself and my daughter. I chose this hotel largely because the New York Times had highly recommended it a few years back in one of its "36 hours in XYZ" columns. I don't know how this hotel got its third star; it's essentially a two star hotel with a nice lobby, as far... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel de L'Abeille. The hotel has unique character and charm and the receptionists were excellent. Pros * Great location, close to tram and in downtown * Close to restaurants * Charming house-lots of floral wall paper and furniture * Room was spacious, included bath tub * Receptionists were excellent and very nice * House... This hotel is very quickly. But we loved it. It is like living in one of the grand chateaux - but smaller. The rooms are beautifully decorated. And the reception and breakfast room are a delight to be in. We felt like French nobility. There are quirks. Very steep stairs and rooms are a bit compromised in space. But we... More

Good old fashioned quirky hotel in town centre. Stairs are rather narrow and there are no lifts so not fully accessible. Service was accommodating and front reception fully manned at all hours. Convenient for sights, shopping etc

It's a very traditional old French hotel and at first glance it looks quite pleasant, but I can't say I was massively impressed by my stay. My room was very dark and rather small. The room was clean; the bed was big and comfortable; but my bathroom was so tiny that at first I thought it was a cupboard. In... More

Specially hotel with amazing design. The atmosphere was warmly and made me feel like home. The suite was wide and cozy and the bed was very comfortable!!! The hotel nearby is very good, he placed on a pedestrian street with nice shops, restaurants and bakeries. Very recommended.

Traditional French style room with lovely antique furnishings , a very comfortable bed and great modern bathroom. Helpful staff, plenty of information including touch screen tourist guide. A charming and unique hotel in a convenient location.

For an authentic, old world French experience, this is the place. The hotel is well located. The decor is dated but authentic and French. Beds are OK. Bathroom large and clean. No elevator. So if you have a lot of luggage, it is difficult to manage getting up the stairs. I would probably opt to stay elsewhere on my next... More

This accommodation was part of our 2700kms tandem cycling holiday through France. Our tandem bicycle was garaged in a secure facility. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, although the narrow steep stairs were difficult to navigate with our luggage. Our room was large, light and quiet with an ensuite which was very spacious with a shower over a bath. The... More

Perfectly located. Close to station, large shopping mall, main street, cathedral, various eateries. I managed to find free all-day parking in same street. Hotel is lavishly furnished with all manner of antiques, paintings etc. Very elegant dining room. Breakfast was a range of breads, pastries, jams etc. I was on the second floor. I'm aged 70 and found the climb up... More
