In line with other reviewers, we were totally impressed by the hosts, the location, the food and the advice we received on places to visit. We have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending this B & B and will be more than ready to return if we find ourselves in the area in future. If fact, we would go out of... More

Extremely hospitable owner who provides an excellent breakfast and also dinner when requested. Very comfortable rooms and very quiet location. Very knowledgeable about places to visit beyond the usual well known places. We were pointed to some gems. A local restaurant (Les Routiers) with amazing low prices and good cuisine including wine

Despite indifferent weather, a wonderful 5 day break in a charming house in beautiful surroundings. John and Liam gave us a warm welcome and looked after us superbly, giving us suggestions for interesting visit and trips, based on their wide and deep local knowledge and history. Eating in was also a great pleasure where their skills combined to provide some... More

John and Liam (and friends) were delightful. Nothing was too much trouble and John even made me porridge for breakfast when I felt unwell. Food was super as were aperitifs and nibbles. Breakfast selection excellent. Room was clean, restful and well equipped. The location, peace and tranquility were just what we needed and we were welcomed like friends rather than... More

The location, the welcome from John and his son Liam, the overall experience could not be more perfect.. I am sure nothing would be too much trouble for these two charming hosts. My wife and I were there for four nights. A further benefit is that the mill also provides delicious evening meals - a great advantage I find when... More

John and Liam will make you feel very much at home and part of the family. The mill sits in a lovely setting and has an interesting history. Our room was spacious with an extra sitting room. Eating a home cooked dinner there was very pleasurable with abundant food. The family was helpful with providing information about the area.

This was definitely the highlight of our recent trip along the Loire and beyond. We only stayed one night, but hopefully we will be back for a longer stay in the future. Welcoming hosts (John and Liam) and a superb room with views over the mill stream and river Indre, coupled with an excellent evening meal - what more could... More

We had two nights stopover at the beginning and end of our holiday.John and Liam are genuinely welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely rooms with everything you need for a stay. Breakfasts are ample and evening meals beautifully homecooked food but presented very stylishly! Liam has a great knowledge of local wines and his recommendations are always... More

John and Liam went more than the extra mile (kilometre?) to make us welcome; seemingly nothing was too much trouble, or at least they didnt let on if it was. Tea/coffee, wine even would appear from time to time without charge. Dinner and breakfast outside sharing a table with other guests was very enjoyable. A huge and charming living room... More

If you want to let the sound of the river wash away all the stress and agitation of a busy life arrive at this old water mill on the river and kick off your shoes. A genuine welcome, easy style, great food and a river or pool to plunge into. Rush around the chateaux if you must but you will... More
