Nicely located hotel. Clean room but so very dated. Made me think of the 60s decor. Bathroom smaller and pink suite, old and tired and a bit grubby to be honest. Staff service was 'service with a shrug'. No welcome to the hotel, just handed keys and pointed to the stairs. Restaurant service was appalling. Food was good and tasty but it took nearly 2 and half hours to get served. We then saw a risible chalk written notice apologising for the service being slow but 'food is an art, and sometimes art takes a while'. Just an excuse for slow service. The room was 62euros for the night which was about right for a small cupboard of a room with two tiny single beds. As I say you get what you pay for. Definitely one to miss in my opinion. All of the above could have been ameliorated by a good attitude from the staff. A shame because although I have used Logis hotels before, this experience has put me off using them again or recommending them.

This was the 4th hotel my friend and I stayed at whilst on our cycling tour of Loire valley. The hotel is in a great location, very nice room, bathroom a bit small and dated but perfectly clean and presentable. Breakfast perfectly ok. Meal was fine, perhaps not the best cooked steak I've ever had but definitely not the worst. The only thing that spoilt what was otherwise a perfectly lovely hotel was the attitude of the staff. On arriving at reception at 2pm I was informed in rather an abrupt manner that room was not ready till 3pm. This would have been perfectly acceptable but for two things. 1) her rude and abrupt manner and 2) on the way to the hotel I had fallen off my bike and hit a wall - my face was badly bruised and grazed, clearly visible to the receptionist. I was shaken up and just wanted to lie down. It would have been very nice to at least been asked was I ok or even an attempt at being polite. After half an hour I went back in and asked where the nearest hospital was and receptionist informed me that my room was now ready (2.30pm). Later on bumped into same lady and she did at least asked was I feeling better. Waiter in restaurant was also clearly due staff training - maybe they are short staffed but all it would take was a bit of friendliness. With just a little bit of staff training in customer service this would change my score from a 2 star to a 4/5 star.

Not bad. Location is good. Right in the town center. No air conditioning but it's common in France, room isn't big but it's clean. Bathroom is small, but it's clean. I think overall pretty good for the value you get. Did not try restaurant at the hotel.

We asked for a meal on their terrace on the booking as it looked lovely on the photo. When we arrived we were told they wouldn’t serve our meal on the terrace and wouldn’t even serve a drink in the evening sun. They said it was too complicated and would only serve drinks inside. Reception were unhelpful and unfriendly at both check in and check out. Bedroom was beautiful!

We ate in the Restaurant of the Relais in the centre of Chenonceaux. Nice garden area had a good ambiance and excellent service on a warm evening. The food was not exceptional, although the Foie Gras was very good at a supplement. In fact we returned the next morning to enjoy their Continental breakfast. Cold meats, cheese, eggs, fresh bread and good coffee were excellent. They have also a very nice Restaurant inside for the cooler nights. Parking on the street was available although there is a large car park in the centre of town.
