We reserved a family suite but were given 2 rooms (so an additional bath and more privacy for the parents) in their own wing of the building. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. Our kids love the swimming pool, much appreciated as were there during a heat wave. Staff were helpful and there is plenty of parking.

We had a courtyard suite in the annexe which was spacious, well appointed and had floor to ceiling glass doors offering a sunny outlook. The only slightly disconcerting item was the splendid bath on a raised platform in the bedroom. We tended to use the shower which psychologically we felt less exposed. Food is not cheap but fantastic, unaware that... More

Wife and I loved it on our recent mini tour of nw France taking in the marvel that is Chenonceau Chateau. The hotel cost more than we usually spend but it was worth every penny. Dinner was exceptional. It is an easy walk to the Chateau and really could not have been better in any way.

Professional, skilled and discreet staff doing everything right in a very subtle way. You do not notice it until it's done and find that you did not have to say how you want it.The skilled staff has full control over over that. The food is excellent and fully worthy of its Michelin star. Our room was nice, big and cleen.... More

The hotel lived up to its recommendation -- and much more. The room was lovely, immensely comfortable and quiet. Service throughout proved perfect and attentive - and always upbeat. Even a slight misunderstanding at dinner (a missed cheese course which magically appeared at breakfast the next morning) showed great caring and a good morale. The dinner was superb, and highly... Recommended as an excellent hotel and restaurant. Room is fine, but, sadly the restaurant, disappointing. Nouvelle cuisine is alive and well here with unpleasant amuse bouche. As we only ordered 2 bottles of wine, and no aperitif,we missed a course, which was difficult to understand. Grossly overpriced at €55 for 3 courses and, therefore, cannot be recommended.

The title of this review sums it up, Beautiful, so much so that I changed my plans and stayed another evening. The Hotel also has a Michelin starred restaurant which is a must, excellent food, the most enormous cheese selection, and extremely pleasant Staff. It fully deserves it's star. Will definitely be going back.

After more than a year since our last visit it was lovely to find it little changed in all the important aspects. We were upgraded to a spacious and well-appointed room on the ground floor of one of the garden houses. We greatly appreciate the quality of the service in this hotel; it's helpful, warm and welcoming without forced friendliness.... More

We stayed at this hotel during April 2012 (low season) in a Privileged (Room 410) for 5 nights and during May 2016 (high season) in a Traditional (Room 411) for 3 nights. Both rooms are on the top (third) floor, which can only be accessed via 2 flights of narrow stairways by the front desk area. Rooms 410 and 411... More
