Wanted to have lunch somewhere easy around Chartres and found this Campanile restaurant . The first day of the reopening of the terrasse in France need to be celebrated even if the weather was that helpful. The staff is super welcoming, service with little attention and food is delicious and generous. The Gm told me that on the warm summer evenings they are organising BBQ et events : I will try to make time to come as I am sure not to be disappointed. Overall great experience and will definitely recommend this place.
We stayed at the beginning of August on our way to the South and were so satisfied that we booked to stay again on our return this month. All staff were very helpful and, overall, I felt good value for money. Happy to recommend and will book to stay again.
We had an overnight stay in Chartres. The Campanile has easy access and very kind service. We had a reasonable and tasty diner in the restaurant. Rooms are "Campanile like" small, but ok for one night.
I have been a customer of Campanile for more than 20 years, and this was the worst experience I have ever had We arrived on a building site, to be told that there was no restaurant. One of the reasons for choosing Campanile is an onsite restaurant after a long journey I do not want to wander around a strange town trying to find somewhere to eat, Having stayed at this hotel on 13th September on the way south, I was not expecting the shambles and feel that PERHAPS I should have been advised of the impending mess. As thjs is probably my last trip to France, to end over 60 years of enjoyment like this was a disappointment
It was a last minute decision to stay in this hotel, and what a poor choice we made, Directions to it were very confusing Booking in was via the restaurant part, again confusing, Then we had upgraded rooms, so were expecting something a lot better than we got, I can only describe this as a Premier Class or Formula 1 type of place, the room was very small and poorly decorated, no hairdryer that worked and not one available at reception. The food in the restaurant was limited choice, and breakfast was very poor, would I stay again....NO
