You could not be closer to Chartres Cathedral! We were in Le Louis room which was quite comfortable with a sitting area and great modern bathroom. It was a real treat to stay here. Chartres is doing a light show in the evenings at 10:30 pm . So nice to walk outside and be there. We enjoyed dinner just around the corner at Esprit Gourmand. I highly recommend! Breakfast was downstairs and just lovely with fresh juice, hot croissant, jam, cheese, tea. All was fantastic.! Parking is a bit confusing as it is in the big public lot but the owner is very helpful with lots of instructions. A great experience!

As others have said, you could throw a football from the hotel and hit the cathedral, so it was perfect for our one night stay, since the cathedral was our foal point. Our room, the Bleue Room, had access to the back/cathedral side of the hotel without actually entering the hotel proper. Keys were old style skeleton keys! Our hosts allowed us to leave our luggage as we had an early arrival, which was very helpful. The room was spacious compared to many other hotel rooms we stayed in, and all the wi-fi and water pressure, etc. was good. We enjoyed the breakfast with strawberries, yogurt, pain au chocolat, croissants, coffee, etc. and also had a nice lunch here the day of arrival. The price was very reasonable as well. We did not have any issues with noise, from people or the cathedral bells! The front side of the room overlooked the main street entrance. The toilet was in its own small room.Overall, a great place to stay.

Lovely welcoming Hosts, amazing Art Deco room (Penelope) excellent bed. Fantastic breakfast. Great location right beside the cathedral but no noise from bells overnight. Need to be good with stairs. Quirky not smart. Lots to do nearby.

For the first 3 nights of our 5 week trip to Europe, we chose Le Parvis. Even with jet lag and stress from negotiating Paris traffic, we were able to find our way to the back of this quaint B&B. This is an old building so don’t expect new fixtures or 5 star luxuries. If you love quaint, unique and great customer care, than you will like this. After dropping off our bags, we parked the car per the directions provided. While walking back, we got twisted around and had to call the B&B for help. She came the few blocks to find us and show us the way. We stayed in the Louis room which looks out at the cathedral and is one flight of stairs. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. You can enter and exit straight out to the street facing the cathedral from a door and staircase right by this room...very convenient! We loved it. Breakfast, as has been said, was filling and delicious. We would stay here again, if we return.

You can't get any closer to the cathedral - you're literarly its nearest neighbour. And rightly so, because "Parvis" in French means "forecourt" and is the name of the open space in front of a big church/cathedral. Very charming and slightly odd hotel with a few rooms individually furnished and designed. Good and comfortable in every way. Nice bed (we had a round one!), fridge, coffee maker, all needed amenities in the bathroom. And efficient and working (!) AC. Since the hotel faces the cathedral on one side and a low trafficked street on the other, we felt it was very quiet in the night. Breakfast is simple and good with fresh juice, yoghurt, café au lait, fruit, cheese, cold cuts and newly baked croissants. Super fresh! Since the size of the hotel is so small the breakfast is served at your table (after inquiry previous evening which time to have it served). Parking is in a big and spacious public garage just a few hundred meters away. You can stop at the hotel's back entrance to unload your bags before you park. Ample instructions in text and pictures are supplied by the hotel hostess. Works great. The ambiance is throughout lovely in an almost familial spirit. The owner/hostess is very kind and accommodating. An experience far from a business hotel - and even far from most "boutique" establishments. Indeed very recommended!
