Our room was very small, with limited but sufficient storage space for a one night’s stay. There were no bedside tables, but we were able to use a stool and a chair as substitutes. The bathroom was also small, but included an excellent shower-the best we had encountered in France. We were also pleased to find the BBC world service, for the first time on our holiday. The breakfast was the least good (and with a limited choice) we had in France, but acceptable. The croissants were the smallest I had ever encountered, which meant you were eating too much crust. The chocolate cake looked good, but in practise was rather dry. However, my husband was pleased to be offered gluten free bread. There was free parking, which we booked, on site.

This hotel is owned and run by a family committed to offering the best travel experience. From the moment we arrived Fabien, the owner welcomed us and helped us with taxis and local information. The hotel is clean, the rooms are beautiful even though compact as is standard in France. Breakfast is included and offers a delightful array of pastries, toast, jams and great coffee. I highly recommend this hotel when in Chartres.

Room basic , bed comfortable, cleaning inadequate as teabags, cups not cleared or replaced. Hairdryer not working. I was part of a large party & we were given a budget breakfast of one croissant, not even a plate, coffee & juice still in packets. After more money paid we had a good breakfast on 3rd day so it was possible, but attitude not helpful. 2 1/2 * at most.. Location OK & fairly quiet.

My husband and I stayed one night in Chartres to see the cathedral and explore the town. Hotel owners/managers could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. Room was spotlessly clean, not fancy but very comfortable. We did pay for the breakfast (10€) which had a good selection of items. The breads were especially good and fresh. Hotel is a short walk to city center and cathedral.

This was our second stay at this hotel and we were as content as on the first occasion. The rooms are modern and well maintained and offer good value (89 euros). Service is friendly and helpful. The breakfast (10 euros pp) offers a good choice. It has its own car park, albeit space is limited and is best reserved in advance (6 euros). Overall this is a good value hotel which is well located to explore the historic centre of this attractive city.
