This hotel was a stand out accommodation in our visit to France. The spacious bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated and furnished. The beds were new and comfortable. The entire room as a whole was a comfortable relaxing place to stay. The hotel is a meticulously renovated 18th century chateau or manor house, keeping the original walls and historic ambiance... We stayed one night in this hotel, as part of a cycling trip. The hotel is in an old villa right on the small town square, with 2-3 buildings and wings. Ours was a small room in the back, upstairs from the reception desk and bar/dining area. It was a small room, but comfortable and quiet, and very functional. Breakfast... More

Stayed here for one night on a tour of the Pay de Loire. A really great hotel that has got it "right". Location is in the centre of the small town (if arriving by car book a space in advance as they have a secure car park across the road from the hotel, but be prepared to have to stop... More

Stayed for one night on our way back north from the Dordogne. I had a room in the roof which was a big double with wonderful old beams exposed. The bathroom was beautiful with lovey toiletries and a great shower. The free wifi was fast in my room but not so good in the room my parents had on floor... More

After a short day of cycling we arrived in Azay-le-Rideau in the early afternoon. This is a small town of less than 5000 people (from what I can find) that is also the location of this fine establishment. Upon arrival we were greeted by a gentleman, who must work 24 hours a day, as he was always there, afternoon check-in,... More

This quirky, former coaching inn is a perfect stopover for visits to nearby chateaux. The staff are excellent and only too pleased to help. Our room was enormous, high ceilinged and comfortable, with possibly the quietest aircon we've ever experienced in a hotel. The restaurant doesn't open seven days for evening meals and I believe the relatively limited menu doesn't... More

Stayed at this hotel for one week. Took daily visits to neighbouring towns and returned at night. Found the hotel and staff to be most welcoming. The room we had is called Chartreuse and opens on the courtyard. It is large by most standards, well equipped and very quiet and comfortable. The toilet and separate bath facilities are excellent. This... More

First of all the practicalities re parking. There is public parking just outside the hotel or, for 4 euro there is the hotel's secure parking. For the latter, as you drive down the road into Azay you will see the hotel on your left - the car park is through large metal gates directly opposite, with the number 37bis on... More

Stayed at Least Grandfor 3 nights and had a comfort room, Saint Cosmie. A really lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful owners. The room was lovely, really comfy bed. The pillows could have done with being firmer but that's a personal choice as we are uber fussy about pillows so probably meaningless to some. Air con was great and so... More

We were greeted by the friendly and welcoming owner. Our luggage was all taken care of, rooms were spacious and immaculate. The decor is modern but sympathetic with the age of the property. Our meal was exceptional, staff were helpful and friendly. We loved it and would recommend this hotel and dining room any time.
