Beautiful small hotel with superior food and service. Clearly legendary for the French, the dining room is excellent. We had a 12 year old with us and she was made right at home and had one of the main courses adapted to her taste with. I requests too much trouble. Lovely bar area. Even if you just want to come...

This hotel is beautiful. Our room was perfect, the bed comfortable, and the service 1st rate. The town of Saulieu is a very sleepy town, with nothing going on. So not really worth going all the way there just for this hotel and restaurant (which is also outstanding). The spa and pool at the hotel are nice, but again nothing...

Bernard Loiseau was a three Michelin star chef who was obsessed with creating and serving the finest food. His Relais restaurant and hotel is something of a lasting memory to his talents. The food was exquisite and the service was solitious, if somewhat, rather formal. There is a fine well tended garden, with a section containing roses named after famous...

My husband and I made a special trip to the restaurant for dinner (as part of our gastronomic tour with France) but it was full. Luckily they managed to fit us in for lunch. We booked the table about a month before. Le Relais Bernard Loiseau is a rustic styled but luxurious hotel/restaurant. When we arrived, we were guided to...

We had a lovely experience. Also our dog was very welcome and could even stay in the restaurant if we wanted. The Spa treatment was very good as well. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant albeit think it is somewhat overpriced. Impressive winelist though.

We loved Le Relais Bernard Loiseu. We had a beautiful prix fixe tasting menu for dinner and lovely wine...it was expensive but not different from what you would pay in any other Michelin three star restaurant. The grounds of the hotel are simply gorgeous, we didn't want to leave. The town is sleepy but delightful. As another reviewer said, I...

This is one of our preferred stop overs when driving between Brussels and the South of France. The Relais has impeccable service, the rooms are very comfortable including the beds and pillows, the bathroom is better equipped for women than most hotels. The aperitifs were served on the terrasse with some delicious and very pretty amuse bouche. Dinner in the...

Travelling with some close friends we all decided on an evening at Bernard Loiseau as the crowning event to a week in Burgundy. We were not disappointed - this two star gem shines bright as a gastronomic experience we will not soon forget. It began with being shown to the tranquil patio garden for an aperitif and some amuse buse,...

Having just traveled from a beautiful 5 star hotel in the Provence, we were not impressed with the location or hotel. We appreciate that it is an old property with certain charms, however every aspect of the hotel is simply not value for money. The room was quite good, but getting very tired. The spa was far less than promoted....hot...
