By far one of the best hotels we have stayed at! Upon arrival we were given an upgrade. The room was in the older part of the hotel and had no elevator with four flights of stairs but the reception offered to carry out bags up for us which was lovely. Once we got up it was incredible. The room...

The hotel is very central, in a beautiful old building with a lovely courtyard. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are newly refurbished and everything was well cleaned. The staff at reception are very organised, friendly and efficient. The only downside of the hotel was that some of the decor wasn't quite to the same standard throughout the...

The soujour was marvellous :). The hotel looks like a castle :) and during my staying it was like living in the Reinassance period :). Despite the atmosphere, the rooms were very modern, fully equipped and very relaxing :). The breakfast and the restaurant in the hotel offered a large variety of dishes from local to the national French cuisine...

Maison Philippe Le Bon delivered on the promise of a comfortable and spacious suite (at a reasonable price) in a historic building. The staff provided classy and friendly service (Benjamin cheerfully carried our suitcases up two flights of stairs when we arrived at 9pm!). Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice and good quality food. Dinner in the restaurant...

We drove around France for several weeks and this had to be one of the best hotels we stayed in. The location is an easy walk to the main shopping streets and to the historic sites. Ample parking in an underground garage across the street. Extremely courteous and helpful staff. The bar was the perfect place for a late night...

While we appreciated the convenience and history of Maison Philippe le Bon, We found the architecture didn't quite mix with the contemporary décor. The hotel is interesting and remarkable in its history. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our room is spacious, but on the minimalist contemporary side and not much in the way of creature comforts. The lighting is...

We had been on the road for a month and this was our next to last stop before heading home. The hotel is very well situated with excellent parking. They feature an outstanding restaurant in their garden: La Closerie. We had lunch and dinner. Service was attentive and the dishes were well prepared. For dinner I chose their cow cheek...

This hotel was ideally located in the centre of Dijon. The room itself was clean and attractively furnished, offering us everything we needed for a stopover on the way from Italy back home to the UK. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. Would thoroughly recommend.

This is an attractive hotel, well situated in the centre of Dijon - though be warned, without satnav you may find driving through the maze of one-way streets and pedestrianised areas a nightmare. There are attractive courtyards and a very good restaurant. But the room we were given was of the smallness one associates with so many hotels in Paris....

We booked this hotel the night before we travelled. In all honesty we were just looking for a 4 star plus hotel that accepted dogs - and we found a gem ! Beautiful old town, amazingly friendly staff (Martin on front desk) and a lovely quiet room. Ate a steak in the hotel and they were very thick, perfectly cooked...

A stone's throw from the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, nestling in the heart of the historical centre of Dijon, Hotel Philippe Le Bon and its restaurant La Closerie, are made up of three majestic town houses dating from the 15th and 18th centuries. With its shaded patio, its listed Gothic courtyard and its several historical caveaux, you will appreciate this timeless place which then becomes a point of convergence of modernity and refinement on one hand, and of charm, authenticity and of French art de vivre, on the other. ... more   less
