Walked from the train station to this quaint hotel conveniently located at the end of the main strip at Place Darcy. Good-sized rooms, clean and newer bathrooms but furnishings and carpeting are dated and tired. Narrow corridors and elevator up to 3rd floor.
We stayed there for one night only, and were very content with the hotel. We enjoyed the tea and coffee in the room and the friendly reception. Since it is a hotel that is managed by the owner family, you feel heartily welcomed and well-looked after. The room was not very big because we chose to stay in the cheapest category but really fine for a city trip.
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights! Quiet, clean although is sited in the pedestrian historical center of Dijon. Breakfast offer not so big but very continental offer with eggs and crispy croissants! Try it!
We were really pleased with our choice of hotel in Dijon - very centrally located with loads to explore and lots of restaurants and bars on the doorstep. We had a room with a view of the Porte Gillaume. Hotel room was very quiet despite its central location, and a really good size, with lots of hanging and shelf storage for our clothes. It also had tea/coffee making facilities (shame it didn't have a fridge as well though). The bed was large and super comfortable with lovely (lump free!) pillows. The windows had electronic blinds built into them so made the room very dark if you want that, we found the curtains enough. Really good size bathroom with a huge walk in shower with really good water pressure. All of the fittings looked brand new and it was very nice, and very very clean. The staff on Reception were super helpful. We had a drink in the bar on the lower ground floor, it's a converted cellar and very cool, with an extrmely extensive wine list. We also had dinner in the hotel's restaurant, and it was superb. The staff were all very professional, and although silver service it was not at all stuffy. The restaurant was extremely busy even on a Monday evening so I'd recommend making a reservation if you want to eat there As there's tea/coffee making facilities it would be great if there was a fridge in the room, to keep milk/water in (when we visited it was 35 degrees so a supply of cold drinks in the room would have been beneficial)…
This is an average hotel, well located for visiting Dijon. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was breakfast. They ran out of plates, bowls and croissants. This happened on 2 occasions we stayed there.
