Beaune is a fantastic place, it's got loads of character, lots to see and an abundance of restaurants. This hotel is very central Ana a mere 5 mins walk from it all. They were very welcoming, the receptionist was extremely accommodating and spoke very good English. The hotel rooms are spacious and very clean, highly recommended

Don't get me wrong, there was a lot that was good, very friendly service and stunning building for us what let it down was the size and layout of the room. A spiral staircase up to the rooms which we expected what we didn't like was the v Ryan steep stairs in the room with the bedroom upstairs and the... More

We found the entrance pretty easily due to reading up previous reviews on Tripadvisor so knew what to expect. Yep - the entrance really did look like a window and it is very low down! Just follow your gps to the road name, keep your eyes peeled for the hotel name and towards the ground! We were placed on the... More

We arrived after a disappointing hotel stay in Paris. I was delighted. The authentically courtious staff hauled my luggage up the spiral steps. I was embarrassed but only by my overpacking! They were wonderfully accommodating. I had left my sunglasses in the car and they driove out to where it was parked and got them for me! The room was... More

This hotel promised much and did indeed suggest in the promotional material that there is a steep staircase to ascend to get to your room, but my wife and I found this to be mountain goat territory. Although we are very fit we found the staircase to be much narrower and steeper than expected and really quite dangerous. Worse still,... More

When you walk through the "low" door, you are greeted with a beautiful scene of a 12th century Abby with all of the stonework and arches that make these locations so unique. The concierge and staff are excellent and their English is very good. Yes the stairs are narrow, but the concierge took our luggage to the fourth floor for... More

We've just returned from a trip to France which involved a 3-day stay at the Abbaye de Maizieres. It was totally charming. The rooms are large with high ceilings, bathrooms very modern and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful (in French and English) and the breakfasts and dinners we had there were first rate. Cannot recommend... More

This hotel with 4 stars is situated about 250 meters from the Hospice de Beaune. In a 12th century Abbaye with amazing vaulted ceilings in its public areas and restaurants, it offers an outstanding base for your stay in Beaune. The rooms up the steep winding staircase were modern and comfortable with Clarins toiletries, beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds and air... More

Oh my word! The Abbaye de Maizieres is a boutique hotel which is a 12th-century former Cistercian Abbey, it is situated in the heart of of the old city of Beaune, on a tiny cobblestone walkway. right around the corner Collegiale Notre Dame. it felt like going back in history. There is a glass door which seems nothing like an... More

This is the kind of place you might wish for when you think of a quaint, charming French village. The hotel is so unique and beautiful, and owned and staffed by lovely, friendly people. They immediately made us feel welcome and were proud to show us around and share with us this special place and we loved it! After helping... More
