This is a great hotel for a short stopover is heading South or North through France. We liked it so much having stayed on our way down to the south of France, that we re booked another stay for the return trip north around 2 weeks later, The rooms, albeit basic, are clean and spacious (similar to a UK Premier... We booked this hotel for one night passing through from Nice to Paris. The hotel itself is okay but nothing special. We did not try the pool. Service was good and friendly and breakfast was okay for the price. The city of Avallon however is pretty dead - nothing here at all.

I booked this hotel specifically for the pool, but after a very long and hot journey, we arrived to find that the pool was being repaired! We received a very good welcome and the lady spoke very good English. The room was clean and comfortable with effective air con. However, being desperate for a nice shower I had the unpleasant... What a charming hotel and town! I loved it the minute I arrived. There is a cottage feel to the hotel, despite the fact that the rooms are quite modern. You feel at home. There is a lovely little pool there. The town itself is super cosy and not crowded. Come here before everybody else does!

It is what you may think about a 3 stars hotel . The majority of the guests are in transit and the hotel is prepare for this . It is very clean and the staff is friendly . The parking is good . The breakfast is ok , closed during the night . Maybe the rooms are a little small... More

We chose this hotel because it had a pool and free Wi-Fi, in a decent location with parking. Unfortunately the weather in France in June was awful and the pool was closed until mid July. It rained the whole time we were there anyway. However, the hotel was pleasant, and the staff gave us a ground floor room as we... More

We stayed here for one night on our way through France. The hotel was very nice - clean, comfortable, and had a nice pool. Staff were very pleasant. The town is lovely and if we had more time we would have liked to explore it more. The only slightly negative is that the breakfast was rather limited for its price.... More

We stopped for one night based on glowing revues on Trip Advisor. However we found a disappointing hotel which reminded us of an Ibis Hotel. Service was very friendly & everything was spotless, but room & especially bathroom very dated. It was a long walk in rain into town so we had to drive to find a restaurant, so couldn't... More

The hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable. The hosts are wonderful, and it has free wifi, on-site parking and a bar to relax in. Breakfast was plentiful, and the hotel is only a short walk from a range of restaurants in Avallon. Highly recommended.

Luvly hotel, spotlessly clean, really is 5* for this, and what luvly friendly people. Only thing that lets it down is they don't do any evening meals, you have to do a 20 min walk to find the nearest restaurant. You can't criticize on this, because they don't ever pretend to do any evening meals, only breakfast. If they did... More
