I found this hotel in my lonely planet guide to France. It is an old and delightful hotel. We liked it so much we stayed an extra day. The restaurant served hearty meals at a low cost. Beers in the courtyard were delightful. The staff was friendly. It is only a five minute walk downhill to the river and two...

Firstly, Auxerre is not the easiest of places to drive around, with numerous one way streets and typical, minimal French signage! We eventually found Le Seignelay and were able to park in a nearby public car park - free Sundays and evenings. Our room was clean, comfortable and brightly decorated, and the manageress very helpful. Unfortunately their restaurant - like...

Nice hotel, a bit old and that is a part of the charm here. The staff is nice, serves an average hotel breakfast, but here everything is done with a noce smile. The garden or courtyard of the hotel i a very relaxing place to enjoy a beer or whatever you prefer.

Back to Auxerre heading home to England. Nice hotel the garage parking as stated is a little way from the hotel, rooms clean and tidy but a little TLC is needed. We dined in the courtyard which was great, could not fault the food, good wine as expected in France. Breakfast was basic but if your French it is probably...

Great location but the rooms left much to be desired...sagging double bed, hand held shower in tub with no shower curtain. Dinner was awful...the beef Burgundy was tough and bland, and the mousse tasted like it came out of a box. Salad and wine were OK. Friends said the breakfast was bad as well. The internet was unreliable.

The tourist office made our reservation, which was very helpful. We were happy to find a hotel with a garage however the access to the hotel with a car is limited to a few minutes at the entrance to allow for check in as there is no parking in the street. The car parking facility is about 200 metres with...

What we noticed first about the hotel room was its spaciousness, which is quite rare in French hotel rooms. It seems that there are differences in rooms. We had one located in the old frame house above the dining room and were satisfied with it. The purple walls are a matter of taste of couse. The breakfast was also good...

Very friendly, helpful staff. We stayed for two nights and ate at the hotel both nights as the food, and service, was very good. There is a nice courtyard area where we sat for an aperitif, and I imagine it would be very pleasant to eat there on a summer's evening as it feels very French and atmospheric. Our room...

We stopped here on our way south as an overnight break, the staff were very helpful even with limited English. They managed to accommodate parking for three cars a few hundred yards round the corner in their own lock up. The rooms have quite dated decor, but for an overnight stop it was fine. The rates were inexpensive and everything...

I stayed here with a friend n our way back from WSB at Magny Cours. It was a Sunday so the restaurant was closed but the staff were friendly and welcoming. Bike parking in the courtyard was a bonus too. Its a basic hotel in a historic old building and was perfect for what we needed. Room was spacious with...

“Our room was perfect for us as it had a double bed and then a room off of that with two singles, which worked out well with our children. It faced the courtyard and gave a great view of the different parts of the hotel.”
