Pleasant stay in the hotel, giving the possibility to walk through the vineyards near Auxerre. Hotel is situated on a Boulevard Vauban with rather heavy traffic, but the rooms (at least that one we had) are sufficiently quiet. Free parking is usually available in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. If not, there is a possibility to park the car...

The room is spacious and clean. On a two person room we even had a separate shower and toilet (with sink and all). High ceilings, typical older building. The ambiance of the hotel is somewhat old fashioned but pleasant. Also for people with bikes all facilities are available. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is basic and one...

The hotel has its own parking garage but we used a public lot and got a spot just across the street from hotel. Saved some $$. Hotel and rooms are clean and neat. It has a nice sitting area and bar in which to have a drink. The rooms are bigger than many in Europe. Air conditioning (although we did...

This is a family run hotel giving great service. It has a good garage for secure parking, and in a very convenient area for a stop on the way south. The room was modern spacious, and most comfortable. The river and restaurants are in close proximity.

Arrived to be greeted by a helpful lady called francoise. A reasonable room with good modern bathroom. We asked for ice and it appeared to be a problem. Breakfast ok. We paid and my fiancé took his car to the back door to load it. As he noticed his windscreen needed cleaning he used the nearby hose pipe to clean...

We are sorry to read of your disappointment... such posts are very rare and undoubtedly point to a misunderstanding. You had a spacious room with a very modern bathroom and your arrival on Friday went smoothly enough: your luggage being carried to your room and 2 glasses of ice cubes being served within 5 minutes in your bedroom (despite staff...

An idel hotel if it it just for one night as part of a trip. Easy to find and easily within walking distance of the pretty little town centre. Watch that on Sundays there are few restaurants open. Parking is free and readily available either off street or in the hotel garage.

Hotel Normandie (actually Hotel de la Normandie, because it was named by the founder after the ship upon which he was the last pastry chef) is beautiful, conveniently located for in&out access at the edge of the historic part of Auxerre and an autoroute, and the rooms are up-to-date in their facilities (incl. AC). There is no restaurant on premises...

The hotel setting is surprisingly spacious for a city hotel, having gardens at the front and rear where drinks from the well-stocked bar, and possibly also food, may be enjoyed. Adjoining the hotel is a large warm and dry garage which is not only convenient but a positive luxury if you are travelling in an open car or motorbike. The...
