This small family hotel, recently renovated, nests in one of the quiet streets of the Intra-Muros, the historic city, just a step from the sea and ramparts. Its 15 quite various rooms welcome you according to your needs on courtyard or on street side. The hotel has a garage (reservation needed) and the breakfasts are served in the conservatory. We have been visiting this hotel for many years: it’s a stop off for us enforce catching the ferry, or the base for a trip to Brittany. It’s not posh. But it’s perfect. Rooms are great. Beds are comfy - always get a great nights sleep; breakfast Is great. And then owners cannot do too much to help. It’s what a hotel should be: great quality, informal and a place you want to go back to. And we do - regularly. Cannot recommend too highly

Lovely family run hotel. Hosts could not have been more helpful. The room was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and good bedding and the bathroom was recently refurbished. We spent our days walking the beaches and the coastline around to Dinard. (We did get the ferry back to St Malo!) I recommend reserving a parking space in their garage. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again should we return this way.

Excellent little family run hotel in the old city. Well located to get to the beach, all around the walled city, boats to Dinard and Dinan, etc. The couple who run it are very helpful with restaurant and other recommendations. Breakfast was great and they parked our car for us in a nearby garage. St Malo was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Location good in Intramuros. Not far from beach. No lift, but we were fine with that. The room and shower room were clean, sheets good, double bed large and comfortable. Room was appropriately heated for April. Shower pressure fine. Breakfast of high quality. Welcome was warm and good guidance for suggested restaurants. We booked parking in the underground car park, necessary in Intramuros.

Such a beautiful spot to spend a weekend. Loved the proximity to the water - mere steps away. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful, especially when it came to the tricky parking situation. Thank you for everything - we look forward to a return in the near future!

The hotel was wonderful and the hosts were very helpful. We stayed two nights in February and had a great time. The room was very comfortable with a great bed. Breakfast was top notch. The owners live next door and are available to help at anytime. They made great suggestions for dinner and also helped with parking.

Lovely small hotel situated inside the walls of St Malo, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. A great location for anyone stopping overnight before the ferry back to Portsmouth. Our room was clean and well appointed, bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a quiet night’s sleep even though our room overlooked the street. Bathroom was spotless, and well equipped with the usual toiletries. Buffet breakfast was in the covered courtyard, and there was a good selection of local products - it set us up beautifully for the day. Parking is available on site, but the underground car park is small, and you’ll probably need confidence (and power-assisted steering) to manoeuvre in and out. I recommend wholeheartedly, and I do hope to stay here again.

My family of 2 adults and 2 kids spent 1 night here. Location is within the old town but a block or so from the main street so a little quieter. Though there was no AC so we had to open the window and the cafe/street noise was loud. Takes only a couple minutes to walk to the ramparts or cafes so we loved the location. I think if you get a room on the rear side it would be quieter. Wifi was pretty iffy. Room was average size and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Host was super nice and staff all spoke english. We paid to park in the hotel's garage, but in retrospect might have been better to park in one of the lots outside the walls because the garage space is very tight and driving through the old town to get there is stressful. The outside lots are only a short walk away.

We felt very priviledged to be welcomed to this family owned hotel by Michel and Marie Dominique. They parked our car in their garage, welcomed us to our room outside the courtyard and offered wonderful advice on restaurants, sites, and other information. The breakfast was delicious and offered all local products. They were extremely vigilant of hygienic protocols due to COVID. Everyone, staff and guests were wearing masks when not eating breakfast. Each breakfast table received their own "tongs" for selecting croissants and bread. Tables were widely spaced. There were many containers of hand sanitizer with signs for using each time you visited the buffet and at the reception desk. Each room was thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and the TV remote was placed inside a new plastic sac at each change of guest. The only noise we heard was the very pleasant cry of a seagull, a wonderful noise to hear so close to the sea. This is the best hotel and location in all of St. Malo.
