Beautiful chateau hidden away down narrow winding lanes-not too easy to find even with sat nav!We had lovely room over looking lake and gardens.Room was big and original furniture which was appropriate, creaky floors but that all added to quaintness.Bedding not feather but that only negative.Beakfast was continental but really good choice.Mini driving range as well for golfers.Would most definetly return.

We stayed for two nights before returning to Ireland, what a fantastic way to finish our holiday in France. Set in tranquil surroundings on the edge of St Malo, the hotel looks superb and is maintained to a high standard. The staff are excellent and speak English fluently. We were upgraded to a Privilege room, which was exquisitely furnished and... More

A well converted chateaux into a lovely hotel with beautifully furnished rooms. The room had a wonderful view of the gardens and river. It has a very comfortable lounge and nice dining room. The hotel has a lift which is excellent for taking luggage and if you have difficulty with stairs. The grounds are lovely and well kept, leading to... More

As this was a very late booking, and looking on the internet showed nothing was available we telephoned the hotel direct. Lovely Jean Michel said he could fix us up in an attic room, but there was a lift. So we booked for four nights. Previously we have always had a very up market room, but this room 201 is... More

This is a pleasant and very peaceful place to spend a night or two while visiting the area. It is in a good location to visit Mont St Michel and provides a base in the countryside ten minutes drive from St Malo. We were made very welcome and enjoyed the stay.

a great find just outside St Malo, quiet, well decorated, great food, wonderful staff who were very helpful. 18 people stayed as a group for 5 nights, we ate in the restaurant for 3 nights. Perfect arrangements made by Carole and William.

You need to be driving to enjoy this exceptional chateau hotel. It's not on the waterfront but a short drive away. The 19th century decor is like a setting in the movie Gigi. Brocades and Aubusson carpets abound but in a comfortable way. We were only here one night awaiting a ferry to channel isles but could have stayed longer.... More

We came to Chateau Hotel Colombier, for a break from Paris and to use as a base to visit Mont Saint Michel. This is a beautiful oasis, quiet, peaceful, all you could want for a relaxing romantic break. The staff were extremely attentive to all our need and the food and wine was wonderful. My regret - we only booked... More

As before the welcome was warm and nothing was too much trouble. We were really happy to be able to have our same room 106which suits the two of us perfectly. Breakfast is a joy, even scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages for the English, cheese, coleslaw, carrot salad plus tomatoes for the Eastern Europeans, croissants, pastries, bread' butter, jams and...
