The two young girls on receptions gave us both a wonderfully warm welcome one insisting on escorting me to our room, saying in English "welcome to your new home" the other, escorting my husband to the car, and insistied in helping him to carryi up the luggage to our room. The room was magnificent, we both felt really at home,... More

Amazing place, it is an old castle with amazing athmosphere. Restaurant serves fresh and gourmet food. The room was not big, and thet don't have a minibar. If you arrive at night, you will see a lots of rabbits in to the yard. Saint Malo is only 10 minutes with the car.

We stayed for two nights as a treat before moving down to the Vendee. The chateau was everything we hoped for, a gracious, relaxing stay. The Chateau is beautiful and well maintained with interesting furniture and fittings. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and the two dinners we had were... More

Beautiful chateau hidden away down narrow winding lanes-not too easy to find even with sat nav!We had lovely room over looking lake and gardens.Room was big and original furniture which was appropriate, creaky floors but that all added to quaintness.Bedding not feather but that only negative.Beakfast was continental but really good choice.Mini driving range as well for golfers.Would most definetly return.

We stayed for two nights before returning to Ireland, what a fantastic way to finish our holiday in France. Set in tranquil surroundings on the edge of St Malo, the hotel looks superb and is maintained to a high standard. The staff are excellent and speak English fluently. We were upgraded to a Privilege room, which was exquisitely furnished and... More

As this was a very late booking, and looking on the internet showed nothing was available we telephoned the hotel direct. Lovely Jean Michel said he could fix us up in an attic room, but there was a lift. So we booked for four nights. Previously we have always had a very up market room, but this room 201 is... More

This is a pleasant and very peaceful place to spend a night or two while visiting the area. It is in a good location to visit Mont St Michel and provides a base in the countryside ten minutes drive from St Malo. We were made very welcome and enjoyed the stay.

a great find just outside St Malo, quiet, well decorated, great food, wonderful staff who were very helpful. 18 people stayed as a group for 5 nights, we ate in the restaurant for 3 nights. Perfect arrangements made by Carole and William.

Nested in a 6 hectare park, 5 minutes by car of the nice beaches of Saint Malo, le Chateau Hotel du Colombier invites you to travel in time.
