My husband and I spent two nights in this lovely B & B. The common room was spacious and warm. The bedroom was also spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The owners were gracious and inviting. One even noticed that I hadn't had any of my tea for breakfast and that evening brought out several different types to see...

We stayed at Symphonie des Sense for three nights in August 2012, paying just over EUR 150 per night (excl breakfast). We were genuinely impressed by this fantastic place to stay. It felt like we had the whole top floor of this beautiful medieval house in the historic centre of Rennes to ourselves. It was not so much a room...

A hidden gem in the centre of Rennes... Trying to locate the hotel following our sat nav was very very stressful. thankfully we arrived on Sunday evening and there was very little traffic to add to wilting tempers!! We telephoned the hotel for directions and a french speaking lady tried to unsuccessfully help. Schoolgirl french kicked in ... we remained...

This hotel is very central, located in the old part of Rennes, so extremely convenient; beautifully and tastefully decorated and clean. The breakfast was lovely and we had the option of having it served in our room, but chose the dining room; there is a lovely patio area, quiet and secluded, for guests use, with tables and chairs; the owners...

Located in the old part of town and said to be the oldest building in Rennes, having survived the 1700's fire that destroyed most of the town. Hosts were wonderful throughout our stay, going out of their way to ensure we were looked after. Fabrice made a booking at the nearby George's Creperie for us, and we had a very...

We stayed here for our 40th wedding anniversary and it really lived up to all the good reviews I had read. I booked the superior double and everything about it was wonderful including the sumptuous breakfast served in our room. Fabrice and his father were really helpful and Fabrice's father accompanied us to our car, which we had parked in...

Fabrice and his parents were wonderful hosts. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The hotel is in walking distance of all of Rennes. We found Rennes to be an interesting, fun town to stay in. It is also centrally located to vist multiple sites in the area. We had a parking issue (our problem) and Francoise graciously worked it...

We recently stayed five nights at the Symphonie des Sens in Rennes, France. What a perfect time! When we checked in, Fabrice, the owner, was out of town for a couple of days, and his parents, Rene and Francoise checked us in and made sure we were happy and comfortable. We communicated with them in Spanish and French as their...

We had a 3 night stay at Symphonie des Sens and couldn't find any faults whatsoever. The hotel is in the old part of Rennes and the building itself is apparently the oldest left standing after a fire destroyed much of the town. We checked in with Fabrice, who speaks excellent English, but was going off to Paris for a...

The building and business are obviously the pride and joy of Fabrice who made us most welcome and is effusively committed to making your stay comfortable and civilised. Others have detailed the essential characteristics of this charming place. The beautiful restoration and maintainance of a fine large antique building must be a heavy overhead on a mere five rooms/suites. Our large...
