I went to Rennes because of I had some meetings on the city. I did not have any information on the city and I was thinking that the hotel was in the city Centre (old town), nevertheless it was not the case. From my point of view, on this kind of small cities, it is better to be on the...

this was my 3rd time in this hotel - and it was nice again! the staff was smiley and polite, the room was quiet and i rested very well. some details are a bit worn but i guess the management knows and plans some updating. the style is a bit dated but it has a certain charm of old times....

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff perfect location near the train station and 10 minutes from city centre. Confortable bed. Some small street noise during the night due to close proximity with night clubs.

I stayed in this hotel during two nights and didn't like the attitude of both receptionists nor the room I was given. I really think it needs to be refurbish very soon. It's old styled and antiquated. If you're looking for what Mercure should be look like today in 2016, do not stay in this hotel. I must admit however...

We found the hotel was well located within easy walking distance of the old city. The room was spacious and comfortable and it was quiet. We enjoyed the old town and cathedral. The Musee des Beaux Arts was disappointing, but the Musee de Bretagne was very good and gave a detailed history (including prehistory) of Bretagne.

4 stars?

We stay fairly regularly in various hotels in the Accor chain but this one was not one of the best.
Our stay did not bode well right from the start. We had checked in online so had been told we had a fast check-in/check-out which just necessitated picking up our key which would be ready for us.

This hotel is located very near the train station in Rennes, so it is very convenient for travelers. The staff was very friendly. I also highly recommend this hotel for Americans traveling to Rennes as it has amenities that we are used to in the U.S.

A four star hotel should offer its services in a way a guest can feel someway home. Here it's definitely not the case. Got into my room (#422): quite sad and basic with some details that sound very old (toilet and carpet above all), I set on the bed and it was creaking!!! It was creaking all night long every...

Very good check in experience. Nice (quiet) room - a small desk and a sitting chair and small table; comfortable bed. And supermarkets and eateries nearby. A fine place to stay overnight. It's an easy walk from the station; and an easy walk to the city centre.
